This is a true gem right inside the Kasbah, the best and highest part of the old Medina. It‘s decorated to feel like a home, with cozy niches for sitting and reading, antique radios programmed to play 40s jazz and classical music, even a live, resident bird. Each of 10 rooms is uniquely furnished, all updated with lots of lighting, good Wi-fi and showers. Breakfast on the rooftop is ample and excellent. We enjoyed dinner at a Syrian restaurant down the street for around $15, and ate one night in La Tangerina itself. The English-speaking staff is ever-helpful with restaurant recs for local spots etc. Payment is in cash only, but Pay Pal is accepted. We felt lucky to get a room here for two nights on just a few weeks notice. It seems as if it books up fast.
