I truly enjoyed the venue at Tequilera. The atmosphere was beautiful, welcoming, and vibrant. As an influencer, ambiance and energy matter a lot to me, and the space itself did not disappoint.
Unfortunately, our experience with our waiter, Erick, took away from what could have been a great night. He started off very nice, but midway through the evening his demeanor noticeably changed.
At one point, he took my drink without asking—even though it was not empty and I was not finished. When I brought it up, he argued with me, insisting that it was already done when it wasn’t. He did eventually bring me another drink, but his attitude afterward felt entitled and dismissive, as if he was doing me a favor rather than correcting a mistake. There was no apology at any point.
As both a consumer and a former waitress myself, I strongly believe that quality service should remain consistent regardless of the bill total. We paid a significant amount to be there, including $45 per person just for the table reservation, not including our actual bill.
Toward the end of the night, when we were ready to pay, Erick repeatedly ignored us while circling every other table except ours. It felt intentional and personal, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
Because of the strange energy, lack of hospitality, and poor customer service, I don’t feel inclined to return. It’s disappointing, especially since the venue itself has so much potential
