As a tourist visiting Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, this hotel was such a beautiful stay! The kitchen was very spacious 🍴 and perfect for cooking or enjoying meals with family/friends. The room felt super comfortable 🛏️ and clean ✨, and the view was absolutely amazing 🌅 — one of the highlights of the trip. The hotel is in a great location 📍, making it easy to explore nearby spots while still feeling relaxing and peaceful. Staff were welcoming and helpful 🤝, which made the stay even better. Highly recommend this hotel to any tourists looking for comfort, space, and unforgettable views 🌴☀️💖.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The place needs a serious deep cleaning, and the staff could be friendlier and more attentive. There was no hot water for several days, which made the stay really uncomfortable. I paid top dollar for a “deluxe room,” but it was so small I could barely move around in it. The only positive is the location—it’s within walking distance to Old San Juan—but overall, it’s not worth the cost.

We stayed in the Deluxe 2 Bedroom Suite. It was like staying in an apartment. We loved it. If you are looking for a 5 star perfect stay this isn't your spot. On the other hand if you are looking for an older building with character this is a great stay. At first I was disappointed that we did not have a coffee maker, but when I went downstairs for a morning cup I was surprised by how great it was. I ended up having three cups. The stay was comfortable and the breakfast on the Terrace was very good. I would stay here again. The location made a great base for walking around Old San Juan.

I felt incredibly safe staying here as a solo female traveler visiting from New Jersey. The staff was friendly and accommodating, allowing me to store my bags before check in and after checkout, there was always someone at the front desk, and my room was clean and spacious. The pool is a little small, but not sure what else is to be expected based on the location and the fact that it’s on the roof. Gorgeous views, and overall very quiet despite being centrally located in Old San Juan. Great walking access to so many tourist attractions and easy to get an uber anywhere so I didn’t feel the need to rent a car or worry about parking. Would love to come back again someday!

Room #2A Needs TLC The front desk and other hotel staff were very sweet and very helpful. Our room (#2A) however, needs attention. Old faded tiles, bathroom desperately needs updating, painting etc. Bugs are expected in the Carribean, but I was exterminating in the room throughout our 3 day stay. Roaches (3X!),Gnats, Mosquitoes, Ants, Spiders (So many kills … I lost count) When I reserved a‘ Superior’ room, I assumed this would include a WINDOW. Room was very dark and damp. Not at all like bright airy scene in any of the pictures. Upgrade to another room, which we were told we had to contact third party to do or stay elsewhere. Would stay again however Room 2A was totally unacceptable. AC worked well and even though pool was very very small, and also needed cosmetic work (missing tile and wood slates) it did the job. Door and door lock was a little suspect, ‘very very rustic’ however, safety and privacy was never an issue. Would stay again, however Room 2A was totally unacceptable. See pics … zoom in!

Absolutely loved this hotel! Perfect location in old San Juan. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. The room was nice and clean- pretty minimal but perfect for what we needed. I loved staying in a beautiful, old building full of character, and the rooftop was really nice too. Will absolutely stay again on future trips!!

🚨 WARNING ABOUT LA TERRAZA 🚨 I am beyond disgusted. I stayed at La Terraza and discovered bed bugs in the bed. Yes, BED BUGS. This is absolutely unacceptable, unsanitary, and shows a complete disregard for guests’ health and safety. To make matters even worse, the manager Deborah has avoided reaching out to me for over a month. No acknowledgment, no apology, no resolution. The silence and lack of accountability only add to the outrage. Instead of providing a clean and safe environment, this place exposed me to a nightmare that no guest should ever have to experience. Bed bugs are not only horrifying, they spread quickly, and it’s appalling that a business like this is operating without properly addressing such a serious infestation. To anyone considering staying here: think twice. No vacation, no trip, no price is worth risking bringing home bed bugs. La Terraza — and its management — should be ashamed and held accountable for allowing such unsafe and unhygienic conditions.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Apparently, no one manages this place. I spent my entire stay trying to speak to someone about my issues and called and emailed for weeks afterward, but every time the manager was unavailable. This place is such a scam; it’s much older and more run-down than the photos. You get extremely hot or cold water, with no in-between. The real issue is that the wifi didn’t work at all, and I needed it for my business. I had to go somewhere else during my entire stay and work in a café over 100 degrees instead of in my overpriced room. I spoke to someone at the desk every single day, but they could never help me or find anyone who could. It ruined my whole trip and really set me back with work. If I could have just talked to someone about it, that would have been great. I sent them many emails and asked to resolve this before I left a review, but I had no other options and had to WARN PEOPLE NOT TO STAY HERE OR THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.
