I was having an event in a restaurant in the same building, music was playing until late at night, until 3-4 in the morning. The hotel guests were not warned about this, there was no information on booking or other services. Terrible attitude towards their guests!!! In addition, there were no keys to the room we booked. Luckily, another room was available. Check-in was done independently without checking documents. It was very disappointing!!!!!!

We booked 4 rooms arrived at the Hotel and it looked like it had closed down . Front door was locked and the only entrance around the back was up some steel fire escape steps |We could not get into our rooms the telephone number on the wall did not get answered |After a bit of detective work we found out this hotel was owned by the neighbouring Van de Valk hotel|We went to there reception they could not find our bookings , even I showed them the confirmation email and proof of payment from my bank|After 2 hours in reception we where told we would have to go to another hotel which was a 40 minute drive away because of roadworks |We arrived there at nearly 10pm tired and frustrated|The following evening we had to go back to Spa to the Van de Valk they now had keys for the property |The only way into the Hotel was through the rear fire escape steps!|The rooms where cold and damp out of the 4 rooms only one had working radiator|One of our party is in his seventies and was very difficult for him with the steps , these where covered with wet leaves|We paid £1570 for 3 nights absolutely shocking service

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The story of the hotel is very interesting and the food was homemade or local (importance of the environment). We loved it!

Location: Best. It's better to also highlight the restaurant since they have Michelin Guide certifications from the past. I wonder what happened. We just ordered some Takeaway.com that night because there was no explanation or at least an advertisement to try and we're very tired. Check in: It's not very clear where to check in because the frontage was a restaurant. The very friendly lady gave our badge and key to the room. In order to access the hotel if you come back from the Thermes is a very narrow and muddy back access. Not nice. Room: We got the "best" room that they have for €170/night with breakfast. It's a nice bed with nice and simple interiors but the bed has very narrow sides that makes sleeping claustrophobic. The room heater was very good but the toilet heater was broken so, it's a very cold toilet. Sink doesn't work properly and it would be better if there are at least water bottles provided (it doesn't cost that much). Dead bugs are also present and hairs on the bath tub. A decent vacuum cleaning would be advisable. And please, it doesn't take 5 mins to vacuum the ventilation. Incident: At 6am I woke up for a smoke and hopefully coffee but there was no one in the property. I accidentally forgot the key and I was locked up for a long time outside in the cold (wearing room slippers and shorts) . At first, I tried to call my friend to open the door but he was still sleeping. I tried to call the number of the hotel but the one who answered(which was the owner) told me that he is sleeping too and told me to wake up my friend to open the door for me in a very very rude manner. So I checked the property if there was an open door like the kitchen and thankfully, Sara was there to help me go in and gave me a coffee. So please next time, don't put your number if you don't want to be called in an emergency. Simple. Breakfast: Very good service and breakfast with ample servings and ambiance. Sara even prepared something for my birthday. Staff makes the hotel great to get its nice review except the arrogant owner who has zero hospitality in his blood. Very terrible experience. But the other staff were the opposite. For a 170€ a night, at least open the door for your guest in case of an emergency. Sorry to disturb your sleep. :)

We did not stay at the hotel but only enjoyed a dinner at the restaurant. Nice setting inside, staff also very welcoming and polite. The meals were extremely tasty and classy. Even when there was a bit of a mix-up at dessert, they fixed everything immediately, very quickly and enthusiastically. Definitely recommend this place for a nice dinner.

This is a beautiful building, picture-perfectly placed right at the foot of a wooded hill. The staff were friendly and the stay was comfortable. The beds were really comfortable, and each room was decorated in a pleasant quirky theme. My ensuite bathroom was a bit tight but that was the only flaw I found. Would definitely stay here again.

Stopped for one night on our travels & were delighted with the olde world charm of the place. We had a nice room with comfortable bed overlooking the green which was very quiet. Enjoyed an excellent Michelin style dinner served by staff who spoke English. The lady who served breakfast & checked us out could not have been more helpful.

Lovely place nearby the park. We had a delicious diner and the restaurant offers with a good selection of wine.
