We stayed 6 nights in this wonderful Bed & Breakfast and absolutely loved it! Jean and Anne are perfect hosts, and made us feel so welcome. They were happy to suggest restaurants and sights to see, and even made reservations for us. They prepare the most lovely breakfasts, with fresh bread, croissants, homemade jams and yogurt, cheese, cold cuts, and more. One morning, Jean made the most delicious French toast I have ever had. It was the perfect way to start the day. La Tour de Cause is very centrally located in Dordogne so we were able to drive to different sites everyday, like Josephine Baker's castle, the gardens of Marqueyssac and a number of châteaux and charming villages including Sarlat, Beynac, la Roque-Gageac and Domme. Our room was very comfortable and quiet, and the sunny terrace outside was perfect for relaxing in the warm sun before heading out to dinner. This is a beautiful property and we will definitely stay there again on future trips to the Dordogne.

Beautiful and quiet in the middle of gorgeous countryside. Are lovely hosts looked after us with delicious breakfast, booking restaurants for us and giving us helpful advice and recommendations for our stay. We were a nice walk away from Castelnaud La Chapelle. My partner had an amazing birthday trip, it was perfect! Would highly recommend staying here, thank you Tour De Cause 😊

Absolutely gorgeous B&B! Ideally located for travel around the beautiful Dordogne area, the rooms are stylishly French, pristine and picture postcard lovely. Nothing is too much trouble for hosts Anne & Jean and definitely one of the highlights is the fabulous & copious breakfast of homemade yoghurts, jams, cakes etc. I loved every minute of my stay and would definitely visit again! Can’t recommend highly enough for the perfect Dordogne holiday!

We were recommend to the B & B by our bicycle touring company as one of several on their list in the area. We could not have been happier! ||Jean and Anne work extremely hard to make your stay a five star experience. ||The rooms are beautiful. A very historic and romantic setting. The beds were extremely comfortable. The pool is very nice too.||The B & B is in a great location. We were on a bike tour in Dordogne and we used the well laid out bike paths to La Roque-Gageac, Domme and Castelnaud. We also took our first hot air balloon ride just a quick 5 minute ride from the B & B. ||Our stay included a very nice breakfast and Anne has a delicious fresh baked cake or pastry each morning that she prepares. ||We highly recommend La Tour De Cause!

We cannot say enough abut Jean and Anne as our hosts in this stunning setting. Prior to our arrival, they worked so hard to arrange a tour for us in one of the caves containing prehistoric art work. They also helped us arrange our hot air balloon reservation as well as tickets to the via ferrata nearby. The amount of time they spent before we even got there to be sure we had a trip of a lifetime is so appreciated. And then we arrived! We were warmly welcomed, greeted with some of their homemade walnut wine, shown the breakfast room and where we could use a refrigerator, utensils and dishes for picnics on the property. Our room was the most beautiful we have ever stayed in--huge beams in a soaring ceiling, lovely wood floors, and a well-equipped bathroom. It was quiet and lovely. Just outside of our room was a coffee maker and tea set up so that we could have a cup before breakfast. And the breakfasts were unreal--homemade yogurt, jams, scrambled eggs made to order, meats, cheeses, juice, coffee, croissants and bread of all kinds and homemade treats made by Anne each morning. Our favorite was the rhubarb pie. Jean and Anne were also helpful in finding us places for dinner, even making reservations for us. The location was perfect to explore the area and there was so much to do-canoeing on the river, touring castles, bike riding along the river, market days at surrounding villages, and then the peaceful quiet of this lovely place to end your day with a glass of wine. We loved every bit of it!

We stayed here from 19-9-22 to 24-9-22 in an upstairs room with a double aspect. The room was authentic France and comfortable. ||The hosts make a huge effort to welcome you and nothing is too much trouble. ||I have no hesitation in recommending. ||The breakfast was a treat, homemade food and always something new each morning to taste.||The location was great for us, as we went canoeing, visiting old villages, gardens and markets.||The outside has various places to sit all very comfortable and you can bring your own bread, cheese and wine, all the facilities in the guest kitchen are available to use any time. We sat out quite a few nights and so did others.||The hosts deserve a pat on the back for making our stay so delightful.

You will find no better B+B in the Dordogne than this magnificent, charming Chateau managed by Jean and Anne (and on this occasion, helped by their two lovely daughters visiting from college). ||The rooms/beds are very comfy and the shower was a dream. There are plenty of areas around the property to relax, (all of them very quiet and peaceful) and the pool is very well kept with comfortable chairs and pillows.||Best of all, they provide an exceptional breakfast with homemade yogurt, pastries and other delicacies with an additional option of eggs/bacon. ||I cannot say enough about their terrific, warm hospitality and willingness to help make our stay enjoyable including help with booking local restaurants.||I wish I could give it more than 5 stars and cann't wait to book another visit.

This Chambre d’Hotes in the gorgeous Ceou valley is a pure slice of heaven on earth! |The rooms, within a large impressive honey-stone traditional building with its steep tiled roof typical of older Dordogne constructions, are large, beautifully decorated and well-appointed, full of character with open beamed ceilings and antique furniture and huge, comfortable beds. Each room has its own bathroom, and there is also a shared kitchen with a well-filled fridge and wine store where guests can help themselves to coffee, tea, or drinks at any time of day. Breakfasts, taken outside in the glorious sunshine, were really delicious - as well as great patisserie and breads and a generous selection of cereal there was fresh squeezed orange juice, home- made yoghurt and a different cake each day, plus local meats and cheeses and a cooked breakfast if requested. Our hosts Jean and Anne were also on hand to serve and replenish our coffee and tea as soon as the cups seemed empty. There is so much to see and do on the doorstep, and after a morning or day out, the lovely pool within the tranquil woodland garden setting was just the perfect way to relax. Jean and Anne provided the warmest of welcomes, and went above and beyond the reaches of normal hospitality to make our stay special. From the moment of arrival, the care they put into providing us with whatever we asked for, including a catered 3 course meal for 12 and a “vin d’honneur”, was fantastic. Truly, a wonderful stay in a fabulous place with the most generous and accommodating hosts - heavenly perfection!
