If you are looking for authentic italian kitchen in Rio it is the place:) simple but tasty, you need to try the grana padano spaghetti. Lasagne is also great.

Google
Very cozy. Good atmosphere. Friendly staff. Pizza cannot be recommended - seems like Dr. Oetker. Pasta with tomato sauce had more cheese than tomato. The salmon was severely overcooked. But the Lasagna was good and can definitely be recommended.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this charming, small-scale restaurant. The culinary delights they served were very good, bordering on great. Their specialty pasta dish is a must-try if you happen to visit. The affordability of their menu was quite surprising considering the superior quality of food. Not only was the service efficient and attentive, but the location was ideal as well - just a leisurely stroll away from the beautiful beach. All these factors combined created a pleasing dining experience that left a lasting impression.

Google
Extensive menu at very reasonable prices. Penne amatriciana, linguiça toscana, a glass of red wine and a bottle of Stella came to R$144 (£24) including tip. Food was tasty and portions were very healthy. Not amazing quality but not expected at this price range anyway. A great option this close to the beach.

Google
The atmosphere was buzzing, the restaurant filled up quickly for dinner. The food was fairly average, some of the dishes quite greasy. The service was quite rude and unattentive. We had to ask for the same thing multiple times from different waiters. I would not recommend a visit.

Google
Good italian food for a reasonable price. Like 100m from Copacabana, nice people, good service. Give it a try if you’re around.

Yelp
Food- above average Italian. Arrived at 6:30 pm and there were a lot of reserved tables. Ordered 2 pastas - shrimp and mushroom sauce pasta (too much mushroom brown sauce) and olive oil with garlic pasta - simple, satisfying. The shrimp and mushroom pasta was drowning in the brown sauce, a little too much. Ambiance-good, has the Italian trattoria vibe. Service - good, efficient.

Yelp
Amazing Italian restaurant in Copa Cabana! It's small and was completely packed when we went. We had a small wait and it was more than worth it. I had the vegan/gluten free pesto spaghetti and it was perfect!!! Exactly what I was craving and I ate every bite. My husband had a gnocchi special and also enjoyed it. Thank you so much, we can't wait to be back!!

Yelp
I don't ever have to return here! The customer service was good, the location was great because my hotel was in walking distance but the food was nothing to write home to momma about! I was highly disappointed! I ordered the margherita pizza, what a flop! The tomatoes didn't have any crunch to them which let me know they were sliced and thrown on the pizza and probably in the oven for a minute or two, they didn't even looked baked at all so needless to say I took them off. The other person ordered a steak, tasteLESS and seasonLESS!! Major disappointment! By that time we were so done with the chef, cook or whoever was in that kitchen the other person just ordered some bruschetta! Now if you can mess up some toasted bread and tomatoes you don't need to be in anybody's kitchen but your own! Btw, the 2 stars is only because of the two waiters we had, they were really nice Will not return!

Yelp
Quaint Italian restaurant in an excellent location. No wait but it was a full house. Excellent service. Great value.

Yelp
Overal extremely disappointed. The place was packed and the receptionist at our hotel highly recommended grabbing dinner here. We went there at around 6, and the place was about 85% filled (less people than at lunch), we were able to be seated quickly-but at a cost-a table that was under a very drafty window, and graffiti on the plastic tablecloths (not a good look). Anyways, I still remained hopeful because of all the people inside, and was greeted by an English menu! Yay! Unfortunately there weren't many vegetarian/vegan options and I settled for spaghetti with pesto, and my mother and grandmother split a pizza and a side order of mixed vegetables. Stomachs growling, we waited for our food, and couldn't help but notice that the waiters came out of the kitchen with frying pans of food, then stood by little tables at the entrance, and sloshed the food out of the frying pan and onto a plate. Weird right? What's the point of that? After 10-15min or so, our food came along, and I was less than impressed. Firstly, my pasta dish was just plain noodles (which tasted terrible, how can you mess up noodles!) with a dish of pesto on the side, the vegetables literally had NOTHING on them. They were never seasoned AT ALL, and to top it off, the pizza looked like a "lunchable" (and was very small as well). I was expecting something half decent for the prices. I can assure you this place isn't cheap. To top it all off, I got a stomach ache from the pasta. All in all, we will not be returning. (Side note, it may be worth it to drop in for a glass of wine, they literally fill the glass up to the brim)

Yelp
Pretty average and decent price. You won't regret it but it's not something to write home about

Yelp
First dinner stop in rio. Server was wonderful with offering selections and spoke some English. They take cards as well. They don't offer free bread but the garlic bread is okay if you're hungry. I got the recommended pasta with tomato basil that was cooked in a wheel of cheese and it was one of the best Italian pasta dishes I've ever had. My boyfriend ordered the steak and Alfredo which was okay but the sauce was not flavorful hence the 4 star review. Great authentic hole in the wall italian

Moe T.

Yelp
So great that we went there 3 times on our 8 days stay in Rio. Try their house special cheese pasta made right in in the dining room in a big cheese bowl/wheel. Pizzas, spaghetti carbonara and prawns cannelloni were tasty too. I was also eyeing other tables tasty looking lasagne and bruschetta. Loved the whole experience there!

Larry C.

Yelp
We are only in Rio for a few days, but have had a great dinner and a delightful lunch at this Italian hot spot. Get there early because it fills up fast.

Julian D.

Yelp
I know a gross over generalisation, but I have never had good spaghetti in Rio. But here it was great, comparable with what I have had in Italy. The sauce was just right, and not over sauced. The resteraunt was very busy but service was still attentive. I'll come again, maybe make it 5 stars.

Yelp
Freshly made pasta! Always crowded! Known for their shrimp spaghetti with truffles for two, the garlic bread appetizer are freshly made and always great! Another favorite is the Calabresa ravioli is delicious!

Lillian T.

Yelp
This is a lovely neighborhood restaurant. Simple but delicious! I had the special cheesy pasta cooked in cachaca and finished in a wheel of Parmesan cheese. Highly recommend! Safe bet for tourists.

Gavin C.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Had the Veal scaloppine fungi. For under $20 it was amazing! Freshly made pasta and bread and the Chilean house red was fantastic for about $3 a glass. The food was as good as many 5 star restaurants but the Decor was very simple. Definitely a diamond in the rough. I highly recommend giving it a try if u are in Rio.

Yelp
Overall a really mediocre experience. Apparently the garlic bread is a thing here but I found it to be pretty wack- the pieces of garlic on top were waaaay too big leading to bites where all I was doing was chewing garlic. Nothing on the menu looked like it would be better than I make myself at home so I got the margharita pizza and it sucked. I mean all pizza is good on some level so I didn't hate it but it was just so low quality. Wife got the pasta with shrimp and the pasta was fresh and cooked well but shrimp and sauce had no flavor. I couldn't help but notice on the menu a grilled tilapia for 52 reais. It's for two but still, that price is ridiculous. I wouldn't come back.

Ronaldo M.

Yelp
This is an okay place. We had carpaccio and also pasta with beef and butter. It was tasty but not excellent. I didn't think it was worth the price. There are better Italian options around. I think this place is famous because the main character of Garcia-Roza's books (Espinosa) eats at this place. :)

Cori F.

Yelp
Not the best experience, the lasagna was way too salty and 3 out of our group of 5 got sick after...

Leonardo H.

Yelp

Paul Y.

Yelp
Came here the other night with my wife.... food is mediocre but you have the best prices in Rio

Courtney L.

Yelp
I was hoping for a big plate of pasta as a break from Brazilian food. I was disappointed in that the food was mainly meat dishes. I ended up with a fried steak covered with tomato sauce and cheese. It was tasty, but not my idea of Italian! The service was nice, and they had a decent wine list.

Yelp
We lived 3 years in the neighborhood, and we been there at least 15 times with family and friends, always a success.
