We had the frites, tacos, and the charcuterie board and it was all decent. The waiter was covering a lot of tables by himself and did an excellent job. Definitely recommend sitting on the terrace.

TLDR; An absolute must visit if you are in the area, super friendly staff, and amazing food, especially considering the price point and to top it off it is (for the most part) wheelchair friendly. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated with smiles and happy faces. Food was excellent, and my girlfriend and I ordered two plates each and were not left hungry. Considering the price point, it punched far above its weight class we loved every dish! Services was prompt and attentive, couldn't of asked for more. The location is also excellent as we were staying in a hotel not to far away.

Had dinner here last night, we absolutely enjoyed everything that we had! The gentleman helping us was very kind and patient in dealing with our less than stellar French. Our favorite item was the brioche/champignons. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also wonderful.

Excellent food! Only two main options on the menu, but both super tasty. Dessert wasn't the best ever, but good too.

I’ve never posted a bad review before but this experience was very frustrating. Many recommended this place to me and i came with expectations of a great experience. The food and wine were nice but the waiter was extremely rude for no reason. He kept me waiting for the outside seats while there’d been obviously some empty tables. I was polite and patient enough to keep waiting but he scorned me for no reason. I felt so shocked i even could not think of anything to say back to him at that moment but it really had ruined my mood for the day. I genuinely hope other people would have a better experience than mine.

Every dish we had was excellent. The wine was good but a bit pricy.

Great small restaurant. Original food. Mostly small plates you can share. They supposedly change their menu every day so definitely planning to come back to try some more. They also have some good wines to accompany your food. The venue looks cute. The service is nice and friendly.

Yelp
La Traversée is an innovative French restaurant that sits at the sweet spot between traditional French food and experimental cuisine. Don't let the diminutive Web site fool you--this is one of the better restaurants in Paris. The menu changes almost daily so what you see online does not necessarily reflect what you'll see. The ingredients are frequently traditional French ones (beef, potatoes, vegetables) but used in innovative ways. Our group of six people got 10 dishes plus a charcuterie plate and were satisfied. The ambiance is that of a neighborhood bar, so the quality of the cuisine may sneak up on you. Coming from NYC, I found the prices to be quite reasonable for the quality of the food.

Yelp
Pros: -Doesn't feel touristy. -Delicious food. We got a salad and the steak and it was interesting and tasty. I won't forget those flavor profiles for a while; it wasn't a traditional steak and salad! Our dessert was exceptional. -Their beer list has a bit of variety -Atmosphere is good Cons: -I guess this is a tapas place? It was hard to tell on the menu, but when we each ordered the steak and it didn't come with sides (and the portions were small) it became clear it might be a tapas place. It would have been nice if the server tried to encourage us to order more or informed us it was tapas stale. Need to know: -No English menu and servers speak minimal English. -Have a reservation in advance.

Yelp
Wow. Definitely had no expectations but as soon as I walked in the door the ambiance captured me. Such a cute restaurant with a small upstairs and downstairs dining area. We started with wine which was tasty but then the food came. I was a little skeptical because I was starving and it was tapas style but wow it was good. We got the cheese & charcuterie board, the burrata with olive tapenade, a trout tartare with bell pepper spread, and the veal beef over hummus. Delicious! We shared all of that with 4 people and it was the perfect amount of food (with lots of bread). I would totally recommend!

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant in Paris, hand down! My (French) wife and I stumbled upon this little gem right after they opened and have been going back as often as possible ever since. The ambiance is super chill and friendly, the service is exceptional and the food... well, we've probably been at least 20 or 30 times by now and have not one single time had a meal we didn't absolutely love. Dinner: In the evenings they serve small dishes tapas-style, and while we often say "this time" we'll only get a few, we never manage to do that, as there are always too many delicious choices to choose from. A nice selection of meat, fish and veggie options, often with surprising, contemporary touches that I've never heard of and that always rock my world. Hearty enough plates to never feel frustrated, but light enough to allow us to indulge in a fun selection of flavors. Lunch: In the afternoon they serve meals (rather than tapas), and it's a great spot for what feels to me (a guy from California) like a fancy French meal for a ridiculously reasonable price. Which is nice, as we're not exactly loaded, and here I can afford to regularly get an appetizer, main plate, and desert. Drinks: Really nice wine selection, and my wife highly recommends the organic, sulfite-free options, of which there are many. We've had champagne here a few times for celebrations and it's damn good and not too pricey. But the real treat is that they recently brought in a new bartender who has one of the most delicious, original drink menus I've ever come across. Our favorites are often the variations on the Moscow Mule (last week he made us a variation with ginger beer, spices, vodka, fresh lime and thyme), but again, he changes the drink menu regularly too, so just come in and treat yourself to whatever sounds good, you won't regret it. It's a great place for a date or an outing with friends, but make sure to call ahead to reserve on weekends, as it's not huge and often fills up on busy nights. We're moving to California in a few months and La Traversée will be one of the treats of Paris we'll miss the most. In the meantime... (Note for Anglophones-who-don't-speak-French: While this is not a touristy restaurant, they speak English very fluently.)
