La Traversée

Great experience at this cute little French spot. Mainly locals when we went. Service was amazing - the gentleman helping us was very kind and helpful with the menu. Great ambiance - nice not to be surrounded by tourists while dining for a true Parisian experience. Portions are generous for French standards and food is lightly seasoned which we prefer (not the sodium bomb that north american cuisine has unfortunately turned into) The selection of beverages is impressive as well.

Had dinner here last night, we absolutely enjoyed everything that we had! The gentleman helping us was very kind and patient in dealing with our less than stellar French. Our favorite item was the brioche/champignons. The atmosphere of the restaurant was also wonderful.

Great small restaurant. Original food. Mostly small plates you can share. They supposedly change their menu every day so definitely planning to come back to try some more. They also have some good wines to accompany your food. The venue looks cute. The service is nice and friendly.

Confused by the other reviews. Food was extremely sub par, we waited a long time to receive and even then it was cold and not flavoursome. Shame as we were expecting great things from the reviews. Rostis very greasy, octopus cold and chewy, chicken skewers tasted only of lemongrass. Prawns were nice as was the croquette (although also cold).

TLDR; An absolute must visit if you are in the area, super friendly staff, and amazing food, especially considering the price point and to top it off it is (for the most part) wheelchair friendly. As soon as we entered, we were greeted and seated with smiles and happy faces. Food was excellent, and my girlfriend and I ordered two plates each and were not left hungry. Considering the price point, it punched far above its weight class we loved every dish! Services was prompt and attentive, couldn't of asked for more. The location is also excellent as we were staying in a hotel not to far away.

Every dish we had was excellent. The wine was good but a bit pricy.

We had the frites, tacos, and the charcuterie board and it was all decent. The waiter was covering a lot of tables by himself and did an excellent job. Definitely recommend sitting on the terrace.

Nice place to meet with friends and share tasty dishes. They have good wine as well! Would go back.
