Singapore’s new wave of steakhouses to sink your teeth into - SilverKris

"Paying homage to Parisian entrecote steakhouses, this buzzy Left Bank–style bistro keeps things delightfully simple with a single set menu: bread and butter, a crisp green salad of organic leaves and walnuts in a tangy mustard vinaigrette, and a 10oz USDA Double Gold ribeye wet-aged for 60 days and seared exactly to your liking. The golden fries, cooked to crisp perfection in beef tallow, are bottomless and refilled fresh from the kitchen whenever your plate runs low. A concise wine list and classic cocktails round out the meal, and the dessert trolley — laden with profiteroles, lemon meringue tart and mille-feuille — seals the deal for steak-frites à la perfection." - Karen Tee

The restaurant is very cosy and a little loud; but still able to talk. It seems to be a popular location for birthday celebration where the service staffs (esp. Glen) are super friendly. The wine selections are good and the beef is cooked nicely which paired nicely with the unsalted fries (the salted fries are a bit too salty for my liking). Overall a good experience and worth a visit - 值得! *Small note: Covered shoes and long pants are recommended for guys - the environment is suitable!*

From the moody lighting to the low-slung leather booths, I love-love this place. Meats had great marbling & a rich, beefy flavour. We were seated unfortunately, directly under the restaurant's A/C zone — food turned cold pretty quickly. Be great if steaks are kept warm on a cast iron. Note that desserts are a separate charge!

The steak is great, but the fries are even better! The raspberry mille-feuille totally stole my heart. The prune tart is also delicious — sweet with just a hint of sourness. The staff are friendly and warm, and I love how they sang the French birthday song — it almost sounded like a Chinese birthday tune! Highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely will visit again.

My reservation was at 8:30, and though the table wasn’t ready when I arrived, the host, Rebecca immediately made me feel welcome with a glass of champagne while I waited. Such a lovely gesture and a great start to the evening. We were seated by the bar, which turned out to be the best spot in the house. The bartender was immaculate & attentive without being intrusive and always ready to top up my drink (which your girl definitely appreciated!). The menu that night was simple steak and fries but they executed it beautifully. The wait was a little long, but the quality more than made up for it. And then came the dessert! a rich, decadent chocolate cake that completely sealed the night for me. The atmosphere is giving underground New York meets dark fantasy. Dim lighting, sultry energy, and just the right touch of mystery! Thanks to Atiqah & the team for serving me! Will definitely be back ❤️

Fantastic dining experience with a thoughtful surprise! We had a wonderful meal at La Vache. My husband made the reservation using his birthdate, which happened to be two days ago, and to our surprise, the staff noticed and celebrated it when they served the dessert. It was such a warm and thoughtful gesture that made the evening feel extra special. The service was attentive, the atmosphere lively, and the food as amazing — perfectly cooked steak that we love and fries that my husband can’t stop raving about! Thank you to the team for going the extra mile and making our visit so memorable!

Worth the hype! This is a fun, lively restaurant. As you will know the only thing you need to tell them is how you like your steak cooked. Unlimited fries and they will give you more salad if asked. Food was tasty - and I really liked how they roll out the dessert cart (try the vanilla cheesecake). Only mild complaint is that as much as I liked the steak it was a bit tough/chewy. Staff was great and had to sing around 8 happy birthdays when we were there but did each one with energy! Do book - place is packed. Will return. I hope standards stay high

Food is amazing. Steak and Fries done right. The salad was also nice. Will prob skip desserts, as the lemon meringue tart, chocolate cake were only average. Service was on the slow side, had to ask 5 times for fries to be refilled. Also, a bit unenthusiastic about recommending their wines and other beverages. The Aircon is very weak, all of us sweating throughout the meal. Try to avoid sitting near the door.

We went for our anniversary and arrived a lot earlier than our reservation but unfortunately they were very busy so we were wandering around the area and then went back on the dot for our reservation time. Unfortunately, table was still not ready so we still had to wait around 15 minutes while offered free drinks which was very thoughtful although it would be nice not to wait that long. Lastly, they surprised as with a slice of lovely Vanilla cheese cake that comes with berry compote. That was delicious as well and I would definitely have that next time. Food was lovely. I enjoyed the salad thoroughly and the quality of the meat. The meat was cooked perfectly paired well with the sauce as well. Probably a little input on the fries as it was too salty for me and the tiny candle they put under the metal plate was not enough to keep the meat warm throughout dinner.
