Steak was lightly seasoned, allowing one to savour the original taste of the beef. Service was prompt. Special shoutout to Bryan, who was hospitable and made the celebration a fantastic one.

Steak and frites done absolutely right. The steak was cooked to a proper medium and was flavourful and satisfying. The frites were perfectly crispy and well-salted, none of that bland potato sadness. Since they’re unlimited and very addictive, we kept asking for more. Dessert is served from a charming cart, and the two we tried were delicious. The restaurant itself has a cozy, relaxed feel, making it a great spot for a casual date. Just note that there’s no menu here. You’re getting the steak, frites, salad set for 68. Simple, focused, and very well executed.

Honestly pretty impressed by the service and hospitality. Was 10 days past my birthday and they actually could still identify it from my booking profile and surprise me with a very beautiful happy birthday song in French. At Gemmill Lane, La Vache! whisks you straight to a lively Paris bistro without leaving Singapore. The cosy space pulses with energy — think red-leather banquettes, oak panelling and upbeat vibes that make you want to linger. The magic here is the simple, no-fuss concept: a crisp green salad, a juicy USDA Double Gold ribeye cooked just how you like it, and bottomless golden frites that keep coming. It’s all dressed with their rich house Béarnaise and hits that steak-lover sweet spot every time.  At ~S$68++ per person, you’re getting seriously good value for classic steak frites — tender, flavourful, and paired well with a glass of house red. Don’t skip the dessert trolley; the cheesecake and mille-feuille are delightful finales. Fries can be a tad salty, but the overall experience — tasty food, spirited ambience, friendly service — makes this a repeat-worthy night out. 

All the staff are very friendly and attentive. The menu is simple, just baguette with butter, salad, and steak with fries. Fries is refillable and steak doneness can be chosen. (The one chef recommends is medium). The vibe in the restaurant is pretty enjoyable and pleasant as the setting itself is not meant to be a fine-dine style so so make sure what’s your occasion. Let’s go the food. Baguette is as usual, nothing much to shout out while the salted butter is highlight point! Salad is given in a generous amount as my pat experience, salad tends to be small and little as those restaurants seem to assume people usually don’t eat much salad when they are in a steak shop, lolz. The walnut chunk and the balsamic sauce make the salad flavorful and refreshing overall. Fries is as usual. The steak is served with a generous amount, tender while light in taste overall. Probably due to the strong AC, the steak can turn cold pretty fast despite the lighted candle has been working very hard so do finish your steak ASAP haha. The dessert is shout out. I ordered the raspberry mille-feuille. The sourness of raspberry jam well balance the sweetness of vanilla pastry cream. The overall dining experience is pleasant and memorable. *Solo-dinner friendly

There is one $68+ set menu that comprises of bread and butter (so good!), a salad with roasted nuts, and a 10ounce steak (you can choose your doneness). Do not underestimate this simple menu. The food is so good. The price point is so worth it as well. The service provided is so good - the waiters and waitresses have good energy and they are attentive. 10/10 will come back again.

Booked a table here for our anniversary dinner, steak was good, fries a little on the salty side for me but excellently crisp. When the dessert that we ordered was served, it said "Happy Anniversary" in French on the plate, and i was quite delighted - I thought they had so sweetly given us a complimentary dessert, but alas, it was charged 😂 nonetheless, taste of dessert (Peach melba) was good. Music was a little too loud though in our opinion - we had to try and talk above the music to hear ourselves speak, or even our waitress speak, especially as the restaurant gradually filled up - so now everyone is speaking loudly, and music also loud - perhaps lowering the volume of the music and changing to a softer genre may help; this part was definitely surprising for me.

I was so excited to hear that one of my fave spots from HK had made its way across the shores to Singapore and it delivered - they do one thing, and they do it well. Everyone gets salad, steak (cooked to your preferred temperature), and unlimited fries. The salad is excellent - bright, vibrant, moreish. The steak - we get ours done to medium-rare and would argue this is the best way ;) - was perfect, and comes served on a heated tray (kept warm with candles), and their house sauce (plus ketchup for the fries). The seasoning on the fries is so addictive, but I do really like that they give you the option to go for less-seasoned fries should that be your preference. I was excited to try the house wine again but unfortunately, it hadn't arrived yet - our waitress recommended an alternate which was also very good. Dessert cart was also fabulous - the creme caramel was excellent, and my partner enjoyed the profiteroles. One tiny nitpick - you can book online, but can't cancel there too, you have to call instead. It would be nice if there was an option to cancel or reschedule online too.

Was there in Nov and made an appt on a weekday lunch. Basically theres only 1 set menu and food is so awesome! Service is great, they are all full of smiles and when we request for additional bread, they were very happy to oblige. The only thing is table is a little small and distance between tables are a little tight, so you can kinda hear the chit chat from others, which makes it kinda noisy, so the ambience was kinda ruined in this sense. Nonetheless, I will be back!
