Food was very good. Waiter’s behaviour did not look good. Had grumpy face all the time. Served us an item on broken plate. Seemed like he just didnt care! Bad experience. I would have given negative rating in Service if possible.

The food was great and came very quickly even though they had many guests

The pasta with shrimps was very well done. The waiter was somewhat older and did not seem too happy to be there. The weather was awful on the evening we went so we had to stay inside. The atmosphere was nice but I’m sure that when the outside area is accessible it must be way more charming.

Had made previously a reservation and was immediately and rudely dismissed by one of the waiters who kept saying something in the kitchen broke. Even tried showing them the reservation but they just to,d us to leave without my further explanations.

An Italian couple staying at our same hotel recommended La Vecchia to us. Our experience here was so great that we returned here for our final meal. It was a delightful change after 8 days of traditional German food. The service of large portions of food and wine was great. All meals we had; minestrone soup, spaghetti bolognese, pizza and tagliatelle Emiliana were excellent. We went once with a reservation and once without and were seated quickly although there were only two of us to accommodate. It was a very busy spot, popular with diners, so I would recommend a reservation if more than 2 in your group. This spot was cosy & welcoming in December and the outdoor space looks like a delightful option in warmer weather.

So good that we went twice during our trip to Munich. Nice atmosphere, delicious food (both pizza and pasta), great price

Walked in during the pouring rain and immediately knew the food would be worth the walk. Dim lighting, but candles at each table, the food smelled amazing, one patron had an adorable puppers at his feet. Didn’t disappoint

Yelp
The ambiance was lively and super fun! the owner helped serve us and he was very attentive! what great food and atmosphere for our last night in Munich with friends! A night to remember!

Yelp
This is a beautifully decorated Italian spot with very affordable food and drink. Decor includes candles and fresh flowers on every table. We wanted some Italian food and this was the only available spot on a Friday night. It met our expectations and prices are affordable for Munich. Make sure you route along the Main Street for a safer walk to the restaurant. All of the food was good enough, nothing stood out. I did appreciate how hot and fresh our pasta was. The Hugo spritzer drink had too much elderflower syrup for my taste, but it was refreshing after many beers! The mixed salad was also needed after constant Bavarian food.

Yelp
Great thin crust pizza with many topping selections. Recommended by my hotel and the price for a three topping pizza was excellent including wine and water. Eat in a quiet garden setting. Other pasta choices looked very good. Waiter was very cordial.

Yelp
I had not heard of this place before but, one of our friends who had been here in the past, suggested we try it. I must admit, it was a disappointing experience and I would not give it more than 2.5 stars. I am only giving it that, due to the fact that, the restaurant itself is quite nice and, has a big outdoor area for warmer days. It's quite a charming place on the inside, with seats for about 80-100 people. All the staff are Italian and looks like they have been here for ages. The restaurant was not busy at all when we came in however, the service was quite slow and, I had to flag down the waiters quite a few times, to get any attention. There was no more than 20 people in the place having lunch :-( The menu is quite extensive and there is something for everyone. I was there with three others and they all had pizza, whilst I had the pasta, off the daily specialist list. Scampi with tagliatelle aglio olio. When my dish arrived it was dry and, the pasta a little bit too al dente for me. The dish lacked flavour and I had to add chili, salt, pepper and Parmesan so that it was edible. As I was quite hungry I ate it, but did not enjoy it. I tried the crema Catalana for dessert and it was also quite dense and slightly doughy texture which is quite weird. I love this dessert and was slightly disappointed. The positives here are the prices which are quite reasonable. The Aperolspritz was also quite ok and the coffee was ok. The place has a nice ambience and you can tell it's been here for ages. Having said all that i would not come back here again. In a town filled with great Italian restaurants and amazing pasta places, I don't feel the need to come here to get the Italian feeling. I can do that at my neighboring pasta joint and enjoy the food immensely ;-))

Yelp
We needed to get our Italian fix, and this place is worth locating. It is a little off the beaten path near the train station, but you might think it isn't there as it is on a pretty much darken street with everything else appears to be closed. Several of the workers speak Italian, German, and English. They had really good service. The Minestrone and Tomato soups were both good as was the Tomato salad (however, we were hoping it would have mozz, but it was just tomatoes and some lettuce). Pizzas were thin crust and just average, but definitely what the doctor ordered and not greasy like some of the slices you might find in town. Pizzas are one size, a little big for individual, unless you have a big appetite. I definitely would go back to this place and try some pasta next time.

Yelp
Friendly service, cheap prices, good quality - definitely make the walk over to La Vecchio Masseria for a solid Italian meal. We walked around Munich most of the day and found ourselves in the rain on cold day pouring through a Rick Steves book for recommendations. The oven and friendly atmosphere of La Vecchia Masseria warmed us up and despite being recommended by a tourist book seemed like a local hangout. We ordered a cheese, tomato, and green pepper pizza - amazing crust and super tasty for an astonishing 7 euros (we would have ordered 3 for lunch at this value during the week). Spaghetti marinara was excellent and tasted like homemade pasta. Warm bread was served with the meal as well. Multilingual staff and cozy atmosphere with murals of Italy on the walls. There are many tables, but they are tight, and we shared a long table with a group of 2 on one side and 4 on the other. Location can be difficult to find as there is not much else on the dark street, and take note that the entrance is on the side of the building beside a garden. The is a hanging sign out front street-side directing you through a gate.

Yelp
Came with with my sister and cousin because it was close to my cousin's pad in Munich. The patio is very nice with surroundings of bushes and flowers. It was crowded on a Monday evening and the weather was so pleasant! We all shared the pasta carbonara, pasta bolognese and a pizza. The pizza was pretty good with a thin crispy crust and good chewy texture. The pasta dishes were sub par and not so tasty. They were rather bland and so I had to help myself with a few dashes of sodium. Service was minimal and the only problem I had were that people were smoking around us and dogs were everywhere. Cute but not quite because it was hard to enjoy the ambiance.

Yelp
I can't see why this place isn't 5 stars. This place, the staff and food is amazing! I have had very good (excellent) Italian and this.....is......it! So reasonable and amazing. Everything is amazing.... did I say it let me do it again...AMAZING!

Yelp
Summary: A very loud, understaffed place that is not enjoyable, at least when it is busy. We went there with a group of five people on a Saturday evening. The unpleasant experience already started at the door where we had to wait a good 15 minutes just to get to our reserved(!) table. The place was very packed, and as a result very loud - you almost had to shout to have a normal conversation with the person next to you, let alone having a conversation with people further away. After being seated, we had to wait another 20 minutes until the waiter was ready to take our orders. We had to wait 15 minutes to get our drinks - without wine glasses because they apparently had none left. Our food took quite some time again, and arrived at very different times - the pizza took the longest, about 1.15h (no real apologies for that). I found a small chip of ceramic in my salad (presumably from the bowl), which I only realised after having bitten on it. The waiter hardly apologized at all, and only reluctantly offered to bring me a new salad. The food wasn't that great either, at least not good enough to make up for the unpleasant experience. All in all, you got the impression that they were very understaffed and couldn't handle the amount of people that they squeezed into the place.

Yelp
ordered 2 pizzas and one spaghetti carbonara over 'Deliveroo' for lunch. Just one pizza and the spaghetti were delivered, even though two pizzas were on the bill. then we called the service hotline and the second pizza came 50mins after our call. The pizza was really bad, kinda elastic and as it was delivered to us it was more than cold and the delivery man told me he's so sorry but the pizza was already cold when he picked it up! -.- Defiantly DO NOT recommend this place and the food and especially NEVER again DELIVEROO!!!

Yelp
Not bad but not great. Overall, the food was fine but a bit bland. My Spaghetti Carbonera was ok, but didn't have much ham in it. My friend Axel had a terrible pizza the crust was prepared with holes in it and it was undercooked. I wouldn't really go out of my way to eat here again. However the prices really were very low and I guess you get what you pay for the average entree was less than 10 Euros. The servers were pretty good although ours didn't write down our order and it delayed the dinner as he had to come back and confirm what we all wanted.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our meal here. We had 6 in the party and all had a variety of food (antipasta, pasta, seafood, steak and pizza). Everything was excellent - wine recommendation was good too. Service was great. English menus. I will return.
