La Veen Coffee – Perth CBD
A cosy city corner serving serious coffee and quality bites
⸻
Stumbled upon this tiny corner café while wandering the city in the morning—and it was just the vibe we needed. Sunny, buzzing, and filled with happy people enjoying their coffee. While both inside and outside were packed, we managed to snag a table right after ordering. The vibe is cosy, comfortable, and inviting—perfect for a slow morning or a casual catch-up.

What We Tried
1. Chicken Baguette: 5/5
The baguette—made with a mix of flours—was wonderfully textured, fresh, and slightly warm. You can tell these guys take their baking seriously. A standout.
2. Mini Bagel with Ham & Cheese: 4/5
Soft, chewy, and perfectly portioned. Simple, but hits the spot.
3. Almond Cranberry Ball: 3.5/5
A sweet little treat, but just a tad too sugary for our liking. Still enjoyable with coffee.
4. Cappuccino: 5/5
Balanced, smooth, and rich—just what a morning coffee should be.
5. Long Black: 5/5
Excellent roast. Full-bodied and flavourful without being overpowering.
6. Mocha: 4/5
A bit on the chocolatey side compared to a classic mocha, but delicious all the same.
⸻
Service: 5/5
The staff were friendly, quick, and clearly know their craft. Orders came out promptly, and there’s a sense of pride in what they serve, especially when chatting about their bread.
Overall Experience: 4.5/5
La Veen is a little gem in the city—great coffee, honest food, and an atmosphere that draws you in. Whether you’re after a quick caffeine fix or a quiet spot to unwind, this place hits the mark. Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the CBD.
