La Ventana Azul Surf Hostel Gran Canaria

I stayed here two weeks in February. Everything was clean and the staff super friendly and helpful. There is definitely a great hostel vibe going on. Without being too party-oriented, people like to hang around, chat, and have a great time. There could be a bit more space in the rooms, but for the price it’s really great. Especially the location right next to the beach is amazing. And with room to do remote work, this hostel had everything I needed! :)

Awesome hostel. Stayed in a few others in GC before this one but ended up posting up here for the remainder. The vibe was great, the people are awesome (both the guests and the staff). It's clean, sociable, showers are decent, beds are nice. The rooftop is a great space and there's always something to do! I was working remotely from here too and it was just fine. Thoroughly recommend!

Great hostel and great experience! Very comfortable bed, privacy due to the curtens, shelf, personal lamp and electricity plug in every place. Clean linen and great blanket. Very good and friendly atmosphere. The staff is helpful and smiling. Sara was super attentive and cleaned the kitchen that it was sparkling! You have drinkable water for free, absolutely everything for cooking, including oil, spices etc. Very great system for food storage! You have your own plastic container, you sign it and keep it in the fridge, so noone is going to take it. Lots of activities among the guests and volunteers. Excellent location close to the beach! The bus stop is 2 minutes walk. Definitely the best place for a sole travelers ❤️ Highly recommended! 👍

I recently stayed here and had an amazing experience! The highlight of the hostel is definitely the terrace with its stunning beach view – perfect for watching the sunset or enjoying a morning coffee while checking out the waves. The place was always clean and the rooms were comfortable with curtains on the beds for privacy. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. There’s a great sense of community here, with plenty of activities. Whether you're looking to meet fellow travelers or just relax by the beach, this hostel has it all. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a chill, beachside escape with great people and good energy!

I have stayed at this hostel several times, including for extended periods, and I highly recommend it. The location is perfect, the facilities are excellent, and the overall vibe is among the best I've experienced. I've met many fascinating people here, and leaving always brought tears to my eyes. The variety of activities offered is impressive, but what I particularly appreciate is the surfing opportunities, which are essential for me. The morning view of the ocean from the rooftop, quickly slipping into my wetsuit, and diving into the waves is simply dreamlike. Definitely a place to keep coming back to.

I really enjoyed my stay at La Ventana! It is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. The sense of community is great due to the range of activities organised by the hostel staff and the communal areas (especially the rooftop)! The bedrooms and bathrooms are also spotless. It was a great experience!

This is truly one of the greatest hostels´s I´ve ever stayed at. Why? The location, the vibes, the comfort. The hostel is right next to the main beach. Need I say more for the location? The vibes are fantastic, there is a strong sense of community, the volunteers are social and motivated to be there, the guests chat on the rooftop terrace all day taking breaks for surfing and there are also good conditions to work remotely. Finally, it was truly a comfortable stay, since the place is kept really clean and there is a strict enforcement of night hours, respecting the fact that people are also there to surf, work or rest and not just to party. After 11 the party is taken outside. I´m keen to go back, and met several people who are going there every year.

Easily one of the best hostel experiences I have ever had. The entire staff, especially the manager Paul could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Paul upgraded myself and my friends to the rooftop dorm so that we could stay together, for no extra charge. All facilities are clean and well maintained, and the staff was a great help with recommendations of things to do/see as well as helping arrange a taxi to the airport. Could not recommend this hostel more. You will not be disappointed!
