La Ventana Azul Surf Hostel Gran Canaria

The perfect hostel and one of my absolute favorites! It’s clean and cozy. Right near the beach as well as just a short bus ride to the downtown area. Well connected, can easily get to other parts of the island. But no need to even leave this area because the beach and best surf spot is right out front and there are plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. The guests are all very sociable and lovely, as well as the staff! Great place for a solo trip, because you will make great friends during your stay here ! Shout out to Bryan and Celene and Paul for going above and beyond to make sure my stay was amazing! Will be returning!

The hostel was a really nice experience! It was super easy to connect with new people and also the activities from the hostel are a great opportunity to get new friends. The location is perfect for surfing and the volunteers really cared about the well-being of the guests.The trip to Ventana Verde in particular was a great opportunity to gain insight into the host's entire sustainability project. I can definitely recommend this hostel and would come back anytime.

I had a GREAT time staying at this hostel. It’s a super social place at day and peacful at night. The room with the seaview is incredible, everything is relatively clean and the kitchen feels just like home. Lovely terrace and lovely staff (shoutout Paul). They also provide lots of activities, some of them are even free. I will definitely come back to this hostel!

I had a very nice stay at this hostel! The location is great and the staff and volunteers were super nice! I just want to mention two small points that could be helpful and make the experience better for the guests: 1. The door of the female dorm which is on the rooftop could not be closed properly and kept hitting the frame all night when the wind blew and while you’re trying to sleep. I think it is an easy fix which can make a big difference for those who try to sleep in the room. 2. The bathrooms had only one over the door hook and it was not possible to hang all of the clothes you were wearing and also clean clothes and you towel at the same time on that one hanger. I think it would be very helpful to add more of those on each door. In general I would definitely recommend this hostel!

My stay at La Ventana Azul Surf Hostel was amazing. The atmosphere is warm, relaxed and very welcoming, with friendly staff and clean, comfortable spaces. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the surf lifestyle and feel at home in Gran Canaria. A big highlight was the opportunity to visit La Ventana Verde for free. This beautiful place is surrounded by nature, banana, avocado and papaya plantations, and offers total peace and tranquility. As a lovely bonus, I was welcomed with a coffee, which made the experience even more special. Highly recommended, a unique blend of ocean, nature and genuine hospitality.

Great Hostel, directly next to Las Canteras Beach, specifically the surf part. Really lovely and helpful team and lots of planed activities to join, if you feel like it. They're also very keen about keeping the place clean (as cleas as it's possible with a hostel full of people who come from the beach all the time). Will definetly come and stay there again. Also a call out to their side procect Ventana Verde, a farm in a green valley focused on reintroducing indigenous flora to the island, financed by the hostel, which you can visit as part of a day trip

Great stay at La Ventana. Paul and the team did a great job of making everyone feel welcome. He led a hike on the Tuesday which was really cool, beautiful route to the sister accommodation and very informative around the island and what they are looking to achieve through the activities. Thank you 🙏

loved my stay, really social and friendly atmosphere. great mix of sporty, active, chill vibed people. someone is always up for an activity or going out but also not really a party hostel. facilities are great. rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen is the best part :-)
