I was a bit hesitant when we decided to go for the first time, better if you arrive at 19:00 as I believe there are two services in the evening and you may need to leave at 21:00. The food was really good, not just the meat but the side dishes as well. Large selection of wines but a bit limited for non alcoholic. Cozy place almost close to fine dining. The lamb balls, duck, chocolate ganache

Short walk from our hotel and the food was amazing. Offered menus in English since my French was not that good so it was very helpful. Staff was very kind and everything tasted amazing

Very warm welcome after a last minute booking. The cuisine is creative, beautifully presented and delicious. A wonderful experience overall.

Google
A wonderful bistro in this quaint arrondissement. The food was exceptional, we selected the chef pairing menu. We were so impressed with the flavors! The service was excellent and so attentive. We can’t wait to be back. I highly recommend making reservations for dinner! Merci!

What a wonderful night at this cozy restaurant. Everybody was extremely gentle to us. Food and service were perfect. Thank you, guys. Hope to be back soon.

Google
The food was fantastic, really well prepared, lovely meat and beautiful complex combinations on the accompanying salad flavours- those were wonderful in their own right. Staff were friendly & spoke great English. Starter/main/desert, nothing fell short and we’d dine there again in a heartbeat. It was around €60 p.p. Including a bottle of wine so was well priced for such nice quality.

We were extremely lucky to get a walk in and were seated at the bar where we got to watch the chefs run a seamless operation. Eveything we ate was delicious, and while ai don't have a sweet tooth I have to give a special shout out to the amazingly tasty and surprising light pineapple, rum and coconut dessert my husband had. My creamy gorgonzola was also the bomb diggity and I highly recommend the Iberian pork. If you're coming from the UK this was extremely cheap compared to what you would pay for the same back home. A shared starter, two mains, two desserts, and two glasses of wine for £90. I've paid more than that for two people at TGI Fridays.

Google
In general, a great place. We ordered two starters (poulpe and croquettes) that were really tasty. As mains, we got the araignés de cochon. For dessert, we had the ganache. The portions were slightly smaller than expected, and we felt a little pressured by the waiter, who told us another couple would arrive soon and we would have to either move to the counter or leave. Still, highly recommended, overall.

Yelp
We had a Delightful dinner experience at La Veraison. We had a reservation a few days before hand and came in slightly late - had to call ahead or else they would move your tablr to someone else past 15 mins of your reservation time. We Ordered the pork belly and lamb croquettes for starters. Duck and steaks for plats and a chocolate dessert to share and paired with two glasses of white wines. Entrees were wonderfully blissful, pork belly was super tender and sweet succulent. For the plats, I like my duck but my partner didnt like his beef as much as it was not as flavorful. The chocolate cake with dollops of ice cream dessert was one of the best I have had and we both agreed. You should book a reservation before hand as the restaurant is quite small and doesnt seem to take walk ins as all tables were reserved when we came on a weekday. Server was very attentive and professsional that made our dinner enjoyable. Merci beaucoup!

Yelp
Had the absolute BEST dinner here while visiting Paris! I am so glad that this restaurant happened to be close to our hotel, such a hidden gem. We had actually gone to a Michelin star restaurant the night before and this outshone the other restaurant by far. Modern French dining at its best! And extremely reasonably priced, we only ended up paying ~120 euros for a 3-course meal including wines. We sat by the window and could even see the chefs preparing the food in the front of the restaurant, which was a unique and lovely experience. Every dish was amazing, and I love that they switch out the menu every couple of weeks and have a smaller selection. I would love to come back to this restaurant one day, next time I visit Paris.

Yelp
We had a wonderful dinner here on a Saturday night. It was our first time in Paris and I came here based on reviews. We were not disappointed. The champagne was cold and the food was amazing. The Pork Butt from Spain was enough for 2 people to share and we still had food leftover. Will definitely visit here again in the future.

Yelp
The best food I had in Paris! Husband made a last minute reservation and we brought our 14 month old baby with us. Staff is really friendly and the food is unbelievable. We had the Fish of the day and the Duck. The flavors of the fish and duck were incredible. The combination of flavors are very unique and delicious.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a very welcoming and friendly team All dishes were very tasty and different from what you could find in many other places. Short menu, everything is fresh. Place is small but cosy and staff is eager to make sur everything goes well and you leave as a happy customer !

Yelp
This is hands down the best restaurant in Paris! A bit far from the center but worth the trek for the authentic French food and reasonable prices. We spent 133 Euro (without tip) for 1 bottle of white wine, 3 appetizers, 2 main courses and a desert. We started with 2 of the 3 appetizers offered - crème de maïs (hot cream of corn, confit egg, & sobessada) and gnocchis jambon blanc (gnocchi, white ham, & appenzeller cheese); they were so delicious we proceeded with ordering the only other appetizer offered: velouté du barry, which was a spectacularly creamy cauliflower and mozzarella soup served at room temperature with very fresh vegetables. For the main course, we each had the juicy veal chop, which was cooked perfectly medium and accompanied by unbelievably savory mashed potatoes with truffle mushrooms. We never eat veal, and we would order this again and again! Last but not least is passion fruit cheesecake, simply divine!! Hats off to the chef who cooks for you personally as the restaurant is so tiny less than 35 people are seated at once. The kitchen is in full view, and you can see the chef literally creating the masterpieces you enjoy. My boyfriend and I look forward to returning to this slice of Parisian heaven for years to come.

Yelp
This place is a Michelin star level neighborhood restaurant. Same level or above our Jules Verne lunch. Dinner here requires reservation due to its LOCAL popularity. The folks are extra friendly. English spoken. Some of the best veal chop and duck ever. The jamon de bellota and fresh mozzarella is a great value special treat to accompany a great value-priced french wine (Domaine La Tour Vieille - Les Canadells was our white wine choice). A great value for a Michelin Star level restaurant... Our family will be back.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. We found it in our guidebook and we're lucky enough to get a same day reservation. The restaurant is small and there weren't any tables available when we arrived at our reserved time. But the owner was incredibly gracious and apologetic. We had a seat at a counter and ordered a bottle of wine and and absolutely fantastic cheese while we waited. I had the octopus and shrimp entree. My fiancé had the duck. Both were fantastic and expertly cooked. But what made this meal so special was the service. It's such a small place with only a few people working but everyone goes out of their way to help you and you can tell they really care about the food they're serving.

Kelwen P.

Yelp
RESERVE IN ADVANCE!! Probably one of the best meals I've had in Paris. The chef changes the menu about every 1-2 weeks, and from all of the reviews they're almost always cooked and prepared to perfection. I had the duck, and it was so delicious. It had apricots, peaches, mushrooms, peas, mashed potatoes, but it seemed like every ingredient was necessary for something great. The temperature of the duck was also perfect. I then had the strawberry carpaccio, and it was also just as good. Highly recommend this place. While the waitress was nice, and service was very good, I feel like she was overwhelmed with managing your 10+ tables herself. However, it was only a small tint the great experience I had at this restaurant.

Susan R.

Yelp
Second time dining here. Small and wonderful so if you would like to try this restaurant, you should make a reservation. This place is popular with the locals. The menu had four appetizers and five entrees. Everything was wonderful, in particular the duck that I had as an entree. The service is very good.

Anna L.

Yelp
Very disappointed. The restaurant has a new owner and the food is completely different. They should notify when making reservations. Food was ok at best. Piece of meat was ordered for 40 Euro, it was chewy and really not worth the money. Other dishes that we ordered were just ok.

Brianne H.

Yelp
I never review anything, but this restaurant begs the attention it deserves. We were greeted in English in a very personal way by Ulla (the chef and owner) and that set the tone for a very personal and delicious evening. The waiter was amazing, very personal and attentive. The food...outstanding. I had the Argentinian Beef and the Fois Grois to start, unbelievably good. Please visit while in Paris, it's a very authentic Parisian neighborhood spot, the food is amazing and prices you can't beat. Danke Ulla!

Benjamin H.

Yelp
My partner and I had an absolutely superb meal here. It's a cut above the average bistro, especially the touristy spots nearby in the 7th. The food displays great technique and creativity as the restaurant weaves together both classic and unexpected ingredients.

James C.

Yelp
I was so happy to dine at this small intimate establishment. Olla (spelling?), the chef/owner greeted me in perfect English, and gave me the rundown of her daily menu. I had her 2 signature dishes (ravioli stuffed with faux grais) Her hard work really pays off because this meal was incredibly delicious. What made it even more delicious was the story and experience behind each dish. Olla wakes up each morning and does all the fresh prep work for the night's menu. She then is cooking from 19:00-23:00, and then cleans up! It was a treat to dine here and hope others in this neighborhood will pay her a visit! Merci!

Laur K.

Yelp
I can't say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. The menu was small but so varied and an amazing selection of dishes. The food was amazingly fresh and perfectly cooked. If you have the opportunity to eat here, absolutely do! The ambiance is very friendly and intimate. Lovely wine selection as well. I completely agree with the earlier post that this restaurant should have a Michelin Star. I couldn't more highly recommend it. Definitely recommend making reservations.

Yelp
Dinner at La Veraison was a most wonderful way to end our last day in Paris before heading back home. We were welcomed very warmly with a cozy atmosphere to match. Our tour guide suggested this restaurant which happened to be walking distance from our hotel. Our hotel was nice enough to assist us in making dinner reservations. The menu (also available in English) was short and sweet. Im sure the menu is ever changing based on the season's bounty. The staff speaks very good English and so very pleasant. We indulged in the salmon appetizer, veal chops and sea bass entrees and of course a glass of wine. It was a perfect ending to a most amazing vacation.

Yelp
Wonderful hidden gem. Only open a few hours a day with a fresh seasonal menu. I love these places! My meal: -white asparagus gazpacho with Parmesan cheese and white truffle oil -duck breast with satay coconut peanut sauce and crunchy vegetable. -dark chocolate ganache with homemade caramel ice cream (amazing) Everything was perfect. Wonderful fresh flavors.

Yelp
Pretty much the best meal my wife and I had since we got to Europe. We had the veal steak with gnocci and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly. Service was a bit slow but the food definitely made up for it.

Kevin B.

Yelp
very cool little restaurant serving some fantastic French fusion dishes. easily some of the best duck I've ever had, impossibly tender with crispy skin. and the gnocchi was legendary, more like lightly toasted puffs of mashed potatoes. great service and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they are doing, definitely recommend!

David W.

Yelp
I had an amazing meal here. It was a great experience too. Small. Quaint. Delicious. I ate at the top of the Eitle tower on my trip in Paris and this place beat that one easily. Do yourself a favor and go here.

Jeanne L.

Yelp
We had a wonderful time here. The escargot, duck and veal were all perfectly cooked and delicious as was the coconut mousse to end the meal. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful and the English menus were appreciated. The atmosphere felt like a real neighborhood place both where locals come for a fun night out with friends or for a lovely date night. The prices were very reasonable as well , couldn't be happier with our choice and appreciate the previous good reviews that led us there.

Alyssa H.

Yelp
The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! The waitress was wonderful and brought us an English menu. The cook personally came over and asked us how the food was. Although the dinner was on our pricier end for what we wanted to spend it was well worth the price. Additionally, we had a wonderful Syrah. Overall I'd highly recommend this cute little place that's further off the tourist path. It does get warm though like another person mentioned since the kitchen is open to the dining and they don't have AC.

Adriana S.

Yelp
Simply delicious. Their fried polenta was the high light of the dinner, which doesn't mean everything else was delicious. The 4 starts is only for the service. There was only one waitress - no doubt she was trying her best, but it did compromise the whole experience. Other than that the food is . Super recommend!

Michael S.

Yelp
Best meal on our trip to Paris hands down. Had a veal chop with mushrooms and crispy polenta, and cod in a light cream sauce with vegetables. Both were delicious. Service is good, even though it is one server for the whole small restaurant. Slightly on the pricier side for a bistro but worth it!

Glynis H.

Yelp
Excellent, original menu. Super fresh food. Lovely ambiance. Great service. Highly recommend

J D.

Yelp
Perfect - small place well outside the touristy areas of Paris. Wonderfully friendly staff, very reasonable prices for the high quality of the dishes. Fantastic presentation... even the music they were playing was cool. The menu changes weekly and everything is made in house - the wine list is great as well, with good bottles at good prices. We had a lovely experience and will be back next week to see the new menu!

Yelp
New restaurant just opened a few months ago, the chef who is the owner, left his engineer job years ago, took some cooking courses and worked in great parisian restaurants before opening this place with a friend who is taking care of the wine for the restaurant. You need to test it!!

Bec S.

Yelp
Delicious hidden gem. We started with wagyu beef tartar and then shared the faux filet for 2. The meal was topped off with delicious chocolate Grenache! The wine pairing was fantastic - delicious full-bodied Chateau Landra. The prices were incredibly reasonable, given the quality of the food. Waitress spoke good English. Our only minor complaints would be that the restaurant was very warm. The kitchen is open to the restaurant, which makes for a great view of food prep! But it was quite warm. The steak knives could also use a sharpening. Overall, very pleased with our visit!

Matthew M.

Yelp
In short, all of the food we had at La Veraison was amazing. We ordered gnocchi and quail appetizers and scallops and roasted duck for the main course. Each of these four dishes was outstanding, cooked perfectly and involving complex combinations of ingredients and sauces that really bring the food to the next level. The plating was thoughtful and the portions were adequate. The setting and service were very pleasant and the cost was reasonable given the quality. We came here for a fine French dining experience, and it exceeded our expectations.

Cuppy E.

Yelp
This was by far the best meal that I had while in Paris. They have a good wine selection, great food and awesome staff. Order the Iberian pork loin. You will not be disappointed.

Marie B.

Yelp
This is one of the best kept secret in Paris! The food is just amazing with a changing menu with the season. The cuisine is light and full of flavor. I recommend the chocolate ganache for desert! The chef is sooo nice, really friendly and with a great contact with the people! Definitely a Must do if you are in Paris

Dwayne B.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant! Highly recommend it for an authentic, gourmet French eatery with an ever changing menu that's also in English. It's about .3 mile from Boulevard de Grenelle, a main thoroughfare near the Metro.

Sonya S.

Yelp
It was here and only here that we encountered bad service in France. It was not the speed, but the pervasive and distracting negative attitude of the server. We could see her all night because the tables are arranged in a long row on either side of this small, rectangular restaurant. I understand that the restaurant being 100% full of tourists probably meant that many of us were being "rude" in here eyes, but if I were a waitress who served 98% tourists, I would try to adapt a kind attitude towards cultural differences. Anyway, she was visibly and audibly angry all night, and yes we ordered in French and spoke quietly and were patient with time. But this woman was just pissy with everyone, and it did not do well for enjoying our meal. The terrine was good, but the main course, which I have since forgotten, was just average, as was the dessert. It seems that the hype has caused a loosening of standards. Also, there was no escaping the closely seated tourist next to us who commented to me upon seeing our terrine, "oh, the last time I ate that I got sick!" Odd. And no escaping as you are crammed in like sardines. However, they loved their meal, so perhaps it is just personal preference.

Steve B.

Yelp
La Veraison is a tiny, couple operated restaurant almost due south of the Eiffel tower in an undistinguished region of Paris. Yet, it is Internet savvy and the food superb from its tiny kitchen operated by the chef owner. Sharing all the beautifully presented dishes between the two of us, we started with a white asparagus soup with clam, fresh grapefruit and decorated with salmon roe - a surprising but wonderful start, followed by quail and the best-we've-ever-had seared foie gras with vegetables, and then a perfectly flavorful and tender veal chop with polenta. Finally, a small but excellent cheese course concluded dinner. After champagne, we left the wine pairing from a reasonably priced and well curated list to the friendly and knowledgeable server who recommended perfect wines to accompany the courses. This is an unpretentious, casual restaurant filled by locals that provides near-perfect French food and service. However, we noted that those without reservations were turned away. Definitely would return.

Gregory L.

Yelp
A cozy setting with the chefs preparing food in the front of the restaurant; fascinating to watch. The small menu has tasty and innovative choices exquisitely prepared. Very friendly and helpful service. Reasonable prices.

Tom C.

Yelp
My favorite place to eat in Paris. The food is amazing and the staff could not be more friendly. Go with their recommendations and you can't go wrong. Be sure to call ahead for reservations, it's a small place and is getting very popular. Enjoy!
