La Vieille Lanterne

The hotel has only a few rooms but they are beautiful decorated and are very comfortable. ||The team is super nice and helping. Because of the pandemic, breakfast was not being served but we had access to coffee and tea free of charge. ||||The location is just superb: only 7 minutes away of all important sightseeings and the central station.

All the staff are so friendly, the room is clean, clean towels everyday, nice big windows that open up looking out at manekin pee. Think I spelt it wrong. Will definitely be coming back. The owners are lovely. Speak clear English. For next year I will speak French 😁 so close to the grand place. What a vibrant and courfull city. I'm in love. 💕 There's tea bags and cream and cold water container just at bottom of stairs. What more could you want. I felt safe and happy.

I popped into the souvenir shop this afternoon, and to my surprise, the cashier staff seemed to have me pegged as a shoplifter. While I wouldn't go so far as to say that the staff were unfriendly, I would strongly urge fellow visitors to keep your mitts off the souvenirs especially when you’re not sure whether you want to buy them.

Very nice little hotel. Rooms very clean and comfortable, the staff we met were all very friendly. Situated almost opposite the famous Mannekin Pis, A short walk away from the amazing Grand Place square. I would definitely stay here again.

My wife and I spent a couple of nights at the Vielle Lanterne while passing through Brussels on our way to Germany. It has lots of plus points but just sufficient minuses not quite to reach 4 dots. On the plus side it is very close to the Grand Place (the reason we chose it in the first place), warm, comfortable and clean and with good wi-fi and, in our room at least, an excellent shower. The lady who owns it (and the gift shop over which it is located) and her staff were very helpful but that can't detract from the fact that the six rooms are spread over three floors with access by a fairly tight spiral staircase and, despite their best efforts, we were unable to make even half decent tea because the only milk was UHT. Highly recommended if you are younger and fitter than us and don't need tea to get you started in the morning but older readers and tea addicts might want to look elsewhere.

Great room in an incredible location! Very close to central Brussels and walkable to a lot of very cool neighborhood spots. Also, the breakfast was delicious!

Honest hotel nearby the center of Bruxelles! Cheap hotel, almost 1 * 😀, but very clean and good staff! This one star is given only for the space in the room, but for few days you don t stay in the room! You only sleep there and for this is very good! You could see the Maneken piss from the rooms and is 5 minutes from La Grand Place!!! 😁👍👍👍

This place can't be beaten for price or location. The rooms were cleaned and as shown on the website. All the staff in the shop were very helpful. Would recommend staying here if you are looking for a central location and a good price
