La Villa 30

The host was very welcoming. We were shown to a lovely, tastefully decorated, comfortable, spacious room with all amenities (tea, coffee etc). Also had a large bathroom and good quality towels and bed linen. Good range of food at breakfast and even went to the bakery to get me fresh, gluten free bread. Much appreciated. Good location for restaurants and the old town.

Good location in a quiet street just a 10 minutes’ walk from the Lille Flandres railway station. A very friendly, helpful and welcoming French owner. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean. There were as well coffee and tea making facilities in the room. Breakfast was varied and very good. Reception (breakfast room) are on the first floor and our room was on the second floor. As there is no elevator ensure you have sufficient mobility

We stayed just one night at this charming little hotel for the rugby World Cup. The owners were very polite and helpful, and the rooms were delightful. Super clean and spacious. I liked the decor very much. The dining room and breakfast were just perfect for our requirements too. I really liked Lille too and shall return for a longer stay - and would be more than happy to stay at La Villa again.

Lovely place. The hostess had limited English, and we had limited French, but we made it work together and shared a few laughs along the way. It's a very lovely place. Buffet breakfast with high quality produce. In walking distance of Lille train station. Was quiet. Not air conditioned. Would gladly return.

We stayed here for two nights at the end of an Interrail trip. |This is a lovely restored art-deco building in the heart of Lille. The property is shared by guests and the host's family. It has recently been restored. The guest rooms are all on the upper floors - there is no lift.|The host is incredibly helpful - we were allowed to get to our room well before the official check-in time, and she was helpful when we had a family emergency on the morning of our departure.|The room we had - on the first floor - was perfectly adequate, although I did find the shower very slippery!|Breakfast was really nice and set us up for the day.|Despite being in a city centre location there was no significant noise from the road at night.|Guests need to be aware of the steep steps to the accommodation.

Easy to find. There are stairs so bare that in mind. Breakfast was lovely. I have a very limited french vocabulary but we made it work with no problem. We had a great time. Vegetarian buffet breakfast was delicious with good quality food. It is expensive but lovely.

This is a lovely B&B with flexible check-in times, which I appreciated a lot.|My room and bathroom were large and nicely decorated. The only downside was that the wooden stairs creaked a lot when other guests walked up and down. In my case it wasn’t a major issue as at night everything was quiet.|Tea and coffee were provided in the room and the breakfast was good too (a little bit of everything).|Villa 30 is located right in the heart of Lille, less than 5 minutes walk to the central pedestrian streets, which is very convenient. I shall definitely be back the next time I stay in Lille.|

We stayed here for our last night of holiday (Belgium and Maastricht) before catching the Eurostar back to London. ||Not a large room, but smart and well-kept, with nice shower room adjoining, and even a tiny balcony to sit out on a warm evening. A friendly, helpful welcome with good suggestions for a quick sightseeing walk and pointer to an excellent restaurant for dinner. ||Breakfast was plentiful and very good, and the room has lovely period detail (a huge deco stained glass window). Would be happy to stay here again if return to Lille - and I hope we will.
