La Villa del Re, an SLH Hotel

I had a truly perfect and relaxing stay at La Villa Del Re in Sardinia. |The atmosphere throughout the resort was calm and respectful. I noticed many mature couples, many returning guests, who came to spend meaningful time together. There was a real sense of connection among them — enjoying quiet conversations, being present with each other, and simply unwinding in a tranquil environment.|The sea was crystal clear and ideal for swimming. While I do not usually swim in pools, I could not help but admire the resort’s stunning pool area, which offered breathtaking views over the sea and unforgettable sunrises each morning.|The food was truly out of this world. I dined exclusively at Le Palme during my stay because every meal was exceptional. The variety, quality, and presentation were consistently impressive, and the waitstaff went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. The maître d’ was especially attentive, ensuring that every detail of the service was perfect and making the experience even more memorable.|The resort itself is set on lovely, well-maintained grounds right by the sea, offering a serene and picturesque setting throughout. The room amenities were also top-notch, with luxurious Bvlgari toiletries adding an extra touch of indulgence.|This was a perfect stay by the sea — peaceful, elegant, and deeply relaxing. I would gladly return for another escape in this beautiful corner of Sardinia.

My Fiancé and I have spent a week at this hotel, and have enjoyed staying here so much!||We have spent most of our time lounging by the pool and the beach. The sea is crystal clear and warm! paradise! We also rented a car and visited Villasimius, and cagliari.||The restaurants at the hotel are really nice, the food is great. Our favourite restaurant is down by the pool, we were sat with a view of the moon glistening on the sea.||Breakfast in the mornings are nice too, they give you a complementary side platter including croissants/pastries, ham , cheese and fruit.|I would definitely recommend sitting inside for breakfast because the ham on the platter attracts a lot of wasps. It’s a shame really, because you have a beautiful view of the sea outside.||Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel, and would definitely come back in the future. ||Thankyou for having us.

Service, location and food were truly top-notch and that is what you are paying for here. Unfortunately, the rooms were so underwhelming especially for the price paid. We could hear literally every sneeze, every light switch turned on and off from our neighbors - I had to wear earplugs. We stayed in the Garden View Suite and this was just a normal hotel room by all standards. The provided soaps/.products need an upgrade. We spent all of our time at the beach and it was absolutely gorgeous and wonderful. The staff were super accommodating - allowed us to bring our own wine we had bought to the beach and dinner. And, we loved the service and food at the restaurants. Thank you!

This is truly a 5 star small luxury hotel & my wife and I were beyond impressed with the service and quality of La Villa Del Re! As soon as we arrived everything was taken care of. They took all our luggage & parked the car with us not having to worry about a thing. Then, the front desk team treated us so kindly and gave us a tour/preview of the hotel property! Thankfully we were able to check-in early to get changed and enjoy the beautiful beach. They have beach chairs with umbrellas. They have amazing service at the beach as well! Just text a number and they bring you whatever you want. The main attraction for us was the dinner… wow! A truly incredible experience. Delicious food and no detail was missed! We wish we could have stayed here longer and we highly recommend this hotel!

We were so looking forward to staying here. On arrival, the public areas & grounds were amazing & the setting was fantastic. When we scratched under the surface, things unfortunately came to light. This hotel is expensive, given the price tag we had a certain level of expectation.||The Seaview room was comfortable but not luxurious and small for the price tag of €900. Odd unusable pieces of furniture some of which were broken. Decor felt trapped in the 70’s.||Although some of the staff were pleasant, a number surly & abrupt.||We spoke to the manager regarding dress code rules. This was meet with a nonchalant response. For the remaining 3 days of our stay, he did his level best to make no contact with us again or indeed from what we saw, with any other guests.||We ate in the so called relaxed restaurant on the 1st night of our stay… food was OK but expensive and the wine list was eye watering. They also charge a cover charge for guests to eat in either of the restaurants- never seen this before in any 5 star hotel. On that note they incredibly charge surcharges for lots of things any other 5 star would include in the price - ie €30 if you want to sit in the front row of the restaurant, €50 if you want to sit under one of the gazebos to sunbathe, €27 for room service just to be delivered to your room and most amazingly -€12-15 extra on top of the breakfast price for breakfast items such as salmon and avocado on toast or eggs Benedict. They seem very happy to charge heavily as a 5 star hotel but do not live up to that standard at all themselves, no water even provided around the pool, broken pool umbrellas and tatty Sun loungers. The checkout experience summed it all up as no one even asked us how our stay had been or offered any help with luggage etc. They really need to reconsider what 5 star service looks like and this was not it !

I’ve been there 3 times with my husband, since 2018, while alternating between other nice places in the Mediterranean. This year we just realized why bother looking for a beachfront experience when you have this incredible hotel. We go there for the beautiful sea, weather, but most of all because of the staff and experience of staying a long week just in the hotel. Always hard to describe to others who haven’t met the best team in luxury traveling. It’s the last place in the world when every time you sit down someone appears to gently pull your chair. Every single time during an entire week, wherever you are. This is a hotel to stay in all day and night. Great food, 2 restaurants, 2 beaches, private, adults only, a staff that could be working in Hollywood films for all their charisma. While it’s extremely unjust to pick names out of the big team that makes your stay perfect I have to send my thanks to young chef Sofia, who brought back a dessert from last year’s menu. Meeting her showed us that the kindness of the staff extends to every part of the hotel: front and back of the house. Thank you La Villa del Re team: you get everything right.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a long weekend and we were blown away by the immaculate hotel, world class service and delicious food and drink here. The beach is beautiful, gardens pristine and rooms immaculate. It was extra special as we got engaged out here and the hotel staff were exceptional in helping me create a private, memorable occasion for us. Special thanks to Francesca, Matteo and Diego for their exceptional service. La Villa del Re holds a special place in our hearts and we will certainly be back. Grazie mille!

Wow what a wonderful hotel in a stunning location, customer service was second to none and some of the best we have ever experienced. Stunning pool and gardens with a short walk to a beautiful white sanded beach with a private area for the hotel. Two restaurants both excellent and breakfast was one of the best we have seen. Only downside is there isn’t much else around so a perfect location for a a 4 or 5 night stay to relax and be pampered.
