Google
The place had a nice range of options when it comes to tapas, perfect to those who don’t wanna commit to one dish. You even have an offer for 4 tapas of your choice with a discount of €5 each! I ordered that option to share plus a Toast with steak and Brie cheese with caramelized onions. It was delicious and very filling. The place was very quiet at lunch even during high season so definitely nice. You can also opt to have your meal outside if you wish. As the name says “The winery” is perfect for wine lovers so don’t expect a wide variety of cocktails.

The food is fine. There’s better out there at the same prices or less. We found the service the rudest we have encountered on our trip. A lovely place on the plaza but hard to enjoy when roving musicians blast mediocre music in search of tips.

Sat outside in the square for some lunch on a Friday. Glad for the misting umbrellas to keep us comfortable. Service was a bit too slow for my liking but the food made up for it. Went for the 4 for €29 deal on tapas, which were all served on top of a slice of dense bread. Beetroot was deemed the best but they were all very good

On a busy sunny Sunday morning we managed to get a table for 4 on the terrace of the beautiful Plaza Santa Ana. We ordered a jug of sangria and the 4 tapas selection at 29€. The chicken curry with walnuts and raisins on toast was great. With an additional 6 croquetas and a bag of crisps, we didn't need any more for lunch!

Located at the corner between Plaza de Santa Ana and Calle del Prado, as the name points out the place offers quite a variety of wines, which are excellent, the food is acceptable, the staff is amiable and professional. The prices are rather high, since it is the very centre of Madrid we are talking here, but still well worth a visit. There are other places in the Plaza, which are equally nice (and dear), at any rate, the environment and the 19th century European landscape you get from their terraces is priceless.

It was a really nice place to have a drink, a lovely selection of tapas, where I will be back to give them a try.

Yelp
Great wine selection. Tried a couple of white and Rioja Rose. The tables aew fun too, wine barrel decorated with foreign coins and bills, like drinking over money.

Yelp
It was hot the day we stopped here for an amazing lunch of local meats, cheeses, and wine. Everything was fresh and new to use so we really just picked at random. It turned out great. Service was in Spanish or English, and they were patient with my poor Spanglish butchery. Everyone was friendly. Service was paced to be leisurely but it was not slow. Inside was cool on a hot day and decor was upscale. I wouldn't roll in wearing gym shorts and a t-shirt but there was outside seating in the plaza outside. Not that we even considered it that day, evening would have been a different story. The area has a lot to see if you want to wonder around and then swing in or take your time after. This will definitely be a regular stop when we are in Madrid.

Yelp
Great service & tapas! Sit outside & enjoy. We had the albondigas, croquettas de jamon & bacalao, steak, cheeses, pulpo and it was all good. My least favorite was the pulpo.

Yelp
I liked everything about this place...good wine at reasonable prices and really good tapas. I had the grilled artichokes and the beets with salmon tartar - perfect for a midday tapas stop on a warm day. Wines by-the-glass were 3 eur-5 eur...I only tried one (a Ribero del Duero) but it was very good.

Yelp
Hit this place on the way back to our BnB from a walkabout. Looked really inviting so we pointed the kids in the general direction of the BnB and told them to figure it out. They are scrappers, I am sure they will be fine. Kitchen was closing so we just availed ourselves to a couple of glasses of wine. Tried random reds, all were tasty and all were inexpensive. They had a Reserva for €4.5 which was really tasty. They also bring out a small bowl of complementary chips that were also tasty. Good vibe, good wine, good value.

Yelp
La Vinoteca next to Plaza Santa Ana is awesome! Great wine selection from Rose to Red to White wines, beers and an awesome food menu full of tapas! Service here too is on point. Everyone from table service to bartenders are exceptional and very attentive to customers. Overall great environment great food and great drinks on a Tuesday night to say the least. This place on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday is probably one of the hottest spots in town.

Yelp
La Vinoteca is many things. It's a great place to sit on Plaza Santa Ana and soak up the views while sipping a glass of wine. It's a great place for a date - the atmosphere is upscale and classy. High tables are fashioned from wine barrels, which reminds you that you're in a wine bar. It's the most I paid for a glass of wine in all of Spain - €4.40 for a glass of cava. I felt like Jay-Z, big pimpin' with my expensive sparkling wine. It's a place where despite the higher than necessary prices, you will not get any free snacks with your drinks. Kind of bullshit really - I bet they'd give Jay-Z snacks.

Yelp
Good local wine selection. The patio seating and tapas are pretty standard fare for the area. They do have a 4 tapas for 15 euro where you can mix and match at will.

Yelp
We ordered 4 bread cold tapas and ham and cheese bread toast. Everything tasted bland and wasn't worth the money. Only thing good was the the coke I ordered and free potato chips they give to the table. We ate outside so at least the view was nice.

Yelp
Excellent tapas at excellent prices. Conveniently located La Vinoteca has a great atmosphere with ok service. Their sangria was to die for! So delicious and refreshing. Their selection of cold tapas and hot tapas was big and tasty. The one that had mozzarella and basil was so good, their curry one was to die for, so full of flavor. The smoked salmon was delicious too :)

Yelp
The wine was okay. The service was fine. The salmon tartare salad was made with smoked salmon. Maybe we should've ordered something else? The ambiance was simple, bright, clean, and actually makes me want to return just to try something else on the menu.

Yelp
Good Sangria. The snacks tapas are amazing and at great price for EUR3.5 each. I got 3 snack tapas including - grill goat cheese with spinach, good flavor - foie gras with apple slices, one of the best flavored tapas ever! - sliced beef with creamy mushroom and potato, good flavor I would absolutely come back any time for the food and price!

Yelp
Amazing wine and amazing prices! The manager poured us a flight of wines off menu to let us taste and we walked out with a case at an amazing price. The wine was surprisingly good: on-par with some of our well-liked spots in Napa, California. And the servers were all extremely friendly and welcoming.

Yelp
Wonderful tapas and service! We were staying at the ME Madrid hotel so this was the perfect walking distance for tapas after a long night and morning of flying. Highly recommend the jamon/cheese plates, the mussel croquettes, and patatas braves. But everything is good!

Yelp
Happen to stop in one of our last nights in Madrid. We stayed right around plaza Santa Ana and we're sorry we did find this place on night one. We would have eaten here every night. The tapas are hands down the best in the plaza. Very fresh and flavorful. We had a variety of the warm and cold tapas and they did not disappoint. The Iberian pork with caramelized onions on toast was definitely a big hit, but the mushroom and Iberian ham were excellent as well. This place is a gem. Next time I'm in the area, I will without a doubt stop by. Also wine selection is excellent.
