La Vista Hakodate Bay

I had a wonderful stay at La Vista Hotel Hakodate! The location is unbeatable—right by the bay and within walking distance to the Morning Market and Red Brick Warehouses. The room was clean, cozy, and had a great view of Mt. Hakodate. One of the biggest highlights was the onsen on the top floor. So relaxing, with an amazing panoramic view—perfect after a day of exploring. The breakfast buffet was another standout—so many fresh seafood options, especially the DIY kaisendon (sashimi rice bowl). Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Hakodate!

La Vista Hakodate Bay exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect — within walking distance to major spots like the red brick warehouse and Mt. Hakodate ropeway. The room was clean, spacious, and had a lovely nostalgic Japanese feel.The rooftop onsen was absolutely amazing, especially with the open-air bath overlooking the night view of Hakodate. The free late-night ramen was a nice surprise!Most of all, I want to thank a female staff member who gave us the best service I’ve experienced in Japan. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I didn’t catch her name, but she truly made my stay unforgettable.Highly recommended!

Being a big fan of Dormy Inns for years. Stayed here for the 1st time after La Vista Tokyo Bay earlier this year. Nice surprising quintessential details of British Colonial style in rooms, interiors, amenities, and common bath 👍 Roof-top onsen boasts authentic hot spring ♨️ with marvelous setting and 270’ panoramic view of Hakodate ! However, didn’t feel the restaurant space and numbers of 🛗 elevators are designed proportionally to accommodate such huge numbers of guests. I wish more space on the 2nd floor can be allocated for breakfast serving/dining spaces . Felt like a battleground with all the line-up, coming back from breakfast buffet, felt like needing a shower and literally took one.😂 ( La Vista Hakodate does have an Annex providing more chilled/upscale experience but I wish they would offer one-bed rooms for single travelers😮‍💨)

Great stay! The rooms were very well cleaned and the cleaner even fixed our room clock without us reporting. The restaurant waitress, Kizu, was very friendly and helpful! She was attentive to our needs, especially my grandma :) Food was good too. Only 1 feedback - can provide more bottles of mineral water in the room!

Good location, 10 min walk from train and overlooking the harbor. Rooftop onsen was a highlight, with cold winds and snow blowing by during my soak.|I did not try the breakfast buffet, but understand it to be excellent. Many adjacent restaurants. I walked along the water and had dinner at a brewery in the brick warehouses near the hotel. It was good and a great atmosphere.

Good location. Walking distance to Mt Hakodate cable car base station, kanemori brick warehouse, tram station to Goryokaku. Love the hotel onsen and breakfast. Nice view from the room. However, the aircon is not cold enough. A bit stuffy during the night.

I recently stayed at a hotel that exceeded my expectations. The facilities were impeccably clean, making the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful and of high quality, offering a great start to each day. I also enjoyed the on-site hot springs, which were incredibly relaxing. Additionally, the room had a beautiful view, enhancing the overall experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a delightful stay.

Breakfast was superb. Provided a lot of varieties with quality. Room was ok (a bit tiny) for a group of 4. Staff members were polite and hospitable, especially the ones at the reception desk and the dining’s main kitchen counter. The view at the top-floor onsen area was amazing. Nice location as it is super close to the Red Brick Warehouse and the bay area. A number of convenient stores in its vicinity.

Hotel has a great location. It's a short distance to the bay, warehouse touristy shopping area, and the train station. Room is cozy slightly on the small side but nonetheless comfortable, buffet is amazing, father was obsessed with their pudding and would not put down his spoon. onsen available. I'm a huge coffee person so having a pour over coffee and an oldschool grinder in the room was super sweet.
