Writing an updated review as we have stayed at La Vue 4 times in the last 2 years. Why the loyalty? The price is reasonable and fair for the rooms, which have simple but adequate & comfortable furnishings and appliances, the best air conditioning we have ever experienced in the Caribbean, and spotless daily housekeeping. Wifi works well. Hot water can be slow to arrive but gets there, and pressure is usually good. Daily fresh beach towels are available. The staff is friendly and helpful with requests like coordinating Kidz Kare dropoff and pickup of beach chairs. If you are looking for very "styled/designed" rooms you will be disappointed but that's not what we need in a hotel.||We love sitting on the balcony, which catches any hint of a breeze, and watching the boating traffic on Sandy Ground (bring binoculars!). The central location is ideal for beach-hopping as you can be at Shoal Bay West in 15 minutes or Shoal Bay East in 20. ||We have experienced a few maintenance issues over the years, not surprising given it's been 9 total stays since 2015, and things happen. The property has addressed all of them promptly, like our fridge died after a power outage/surge and a new one was in place, with our food carefully replaced the same way we'd stored it, before we got back from the beach the very same day.||There are a few local bars near La Vue and sometimes the music goes late, or karaoke from Waves down at the bottom of the cliff echoes up. We have not gotten the sense that any of the patrons are dangerous - occasionally "overserved" maybe. We haven't found the noise constant or, when present, to be anything a pair of average earplugs couldn't handle. ||Happy to be returning in 2026!

After reading the previous review I was a little nervous. We had already booked the boutique and I hoped we would have a better experience. We certainly did!!|The place was kept up very well. The pool was great and was being maintained while we were there. Beach towels were supplied every morning. The room was spacious and so clean. The maid came by every morning and cleaned the room, even mopped the floors. The penthouse with the balcony had amazing views. We did not hear any noise at night from neighboring clubs. You need to add the Flavors breakfast. Chef Kevin is amazing and the pancakes, french toast and omelets are scrumptious! The location of the boutique is not in the busy area of Anguilla and we liked that. We found a little market that we utilized just a short walk from the hotel. We opted not to rent a car due to a bad experience on another island. We had a driver, Reuben, recommended to us and he was a jewel! We had great meals at Straw Hat, Tastees, and you shouldn't miss Elvis's Beach Bar. The only reason I didn't give the Boutique five stars is because of the lack of an elevator. Going up three flights of stairs, especially with suitcases was a real pain for this senior couple. Maybe having someone available to carry them up and down for a good tip would be a good idea. All in all we loved the place and with the price, you really can't go wrong.

Everything was perfect about this hotel. Friendly owner who ensured all your needs were met, friendly staff, great location with an equally great view. Centrally located for easy access to island.|If you go, say HELLO to the owner Ms Joy.

Great hotel, great view, convenient location with free parking. The apartment had everything needed for a few days stay, free ice. Front desk staff was super friendly. Plenty of places nearby (short car ride) to enjoy a nice breakfast.

Perfect stay. Inn was misleading as it was better than 3 star hotels in many countries. The owner Ms Joy ensured everything was in order and all our needs were met. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting anguilla.

I'm not sure where the positive reviews of this place are coming from lately but we were just there last week. The restaurant is hardly that. 3 or 4 tables and a coffee bar since they're now only open for breakfast. The pool was a nice shade of green. The rooms were "ok". Bathroom had mold on the ceiling and soap scum all over the faucets. Found some nice hairs stuck to the walls and the back of the door. The rooms are very cold and uninviting. The TV (not that that's a huge priority) was the size of my laptop screen. The bed was fine. The AC worked like a champ. Location wise it's not the most convenient for walking to place to eat since there is literally NO place to get any kind of food on the hotel grounds minus the breakfast in the AM. There are bars on the doors to the lobby/office and barred doors to get into the hotel room area. Not the most confidence inspiring. Overall just not a great experience. We luckily were called out and had to leave after one night. The manager is a very nice lady who did work with us about cutting our stay short. With a $500/per room cancellation fee even in the face of all the issues mentioned above. Oh! Don't lose your key to the room. $300 to make a copy/replacement. Unreal. So many better options on the island at this point. The one part that was not disappointing. The view, aptly named. Gorgeous sunsets.

Wonderful location with an awesome view. Would stay again. Rented one of the top floor rooms it had a small balcony where we had coffee every morning with a georgeous view of Sandy Ground. Clean, Comfortable, and Reasonable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only negative would be for those needing an elevator as none exists.

We stayed at La Vue many years ago, and had a wonderful experience. Sadly, a lot has changed since then. The pictures on the site/online are the originals, and the resort is not as 'polished' as it once was. In addition, there is a new local bar just down the street, and now the resort is bookended by noisy/sketchy bars with drunk patrons walking up and down, and into the parking lot. It's disconcerting at best, and now I understand why the resort now has self-locking doors and cameras everywhere. It feels unsafe now, and it's incredibly noisy with loud 'boom-boom' music playing that shatters the overall experience. We noticed the noise level upon checking-in when we were also told that the restaurant had closed down abruptly. When we mentioned the noise of the two bars, we were lied to. We were told it was only that night, and would not occur again. It happened every night. Every. Single. Night. We would have changed hotels, and should have. The pool was murky and not the blue one pictured here when they first opened. It was dirty, and definitely unbalanced. NO ONE used it while we were there. The rooms... old and tired with broken items, and a hand-held shower without the proper holder for it, that when turned on took off spraying wildly around. You had to hold it the entire time. In addition, despite the owner owning a cleaning company, it was pretty dirty, with dishes and silver all needing to be washed before use, and some pots so bad, we didn't even bother. We should have left immediately, but we had a plane mishap and we were exhausted and just couldn't deal with trying to find another place. We spend most of our time out of the unit and away from the inn. Afterwards, I wrote a detailed letter to the owner, manager, and they never responded. It sort of sums up the lack of service and concern, and is very disappointing. We loved our stay there the last time (under different ownership/management) but it's true what they say, "You can never go back." La Vue feels like a cheap motel now, akin to a Day's Inn here in the U.S. I'd think twice before booking, unless you like very loud bars, with heavy bass and Latin music playing, being lied to by desk staff, and extremely poor customer service. It seems management and owners could care less about you once they receive your money. Oh, and one more thing, we missed a full day of our trip because of an issue with a circuit board on our AA flight. We were rebooked, and couldn't get to Anguilla until the next day. We notified La Vue immediately of this, and when we checked in they still charged us for the night, even though it wasn't our fault, and even though the hotel wasn't fully booked. Horrible, and zero empathy for the situation. I was told we'd hear from the owner/mgr, "Mrs. Hughes" and maybe something could be done... we never heard from her - ever. We are very trusting, and always told were "too nice" and I cannot help but to feel we were taken advantage of here, and lied to about several things.
