"Embodying the city’s beach-chic vibe, this oceanside hotel restaurant and bar is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. La Zebra serves authentic Mexican dishes made with locally sourced ingredients, some from the Riviera Maya region and others from different parts of the country, including classic corn tamales and cochinita pibil tacos. During the daytime, try one of their popular aguas frescas : a drink combining fruit with other natural ingredients, sugar, and water that’s a refreshing way to beat the heat. After dinner on Sundays, hit the beach to dance at weekly salsa parties under the palms."

"La Zebra has a top-rated reputation for a fun ambiance, great service, chic rooms, and great beach access. The hotel has six different categories of rooms from basic Garden Rooms to beachfront suites with balconies and plunge pools. Rooms offer a harmony of natural beach tones and traditional textures that skips the flashy or industrial touches of other Tulum hotels. However, all rooms are still sophisticated and families will appreciate the suites, which come with one King-sized bed and two single beds."

La Zebra, a Small Luxury Hotel (Tulum, Riviera Maya) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Barefoot beach living underpins the laidback style of La Zebra Tulum, where all the suites and casitas sit right on the sands for waking up to a sweeping sea view. The relaxed restaurant and beach bar serve up Mexican flavors and fresh seasonal ingredients, complemented by signature cocktails and local artisanal beers and wines. And whilst the beach is a natural playground for kids, La Zebra has plenty of activities planned to keep them entertained, including learning about Mexican corn to make tortillas and guacamole, craft workshops and piñata parties." - Tablet Hotels

We spent the day at the beach club, booked a bed in advance for two adults and a 3yo kid ($75 each). Reading previous reviews we chose La Zebra as they are a family friendly business and when you have small kids that’s all you want.||The staff are very friendly and accommodating , we liked the barman by the pool as he is a local and explained the evolution of Tulum, from a fishing village to the massive tourist town it’s today. His replacement when he was having lunch was also very friendly and informative explaining how Mezcal is made and the difference with tequila.|We had lunch, a taco’s platter and a beautiful salad and everything was delicious.|Overall we had a great day. The reason why I didn’t give La Zebra a 5 star rating is as follows (please note it’s a personal opinion):|1. Music was way too commercial, chill versions of Britney Spears and Hotel California on repeat.|2. Sports bar advertised and NFL.|As I said, totally personal opinion but for me, those were a clear indication that La Zebra lacks the 5 stars.

La Zebra is one of those rare places where the service genuinely makes the hotel feel like home. I stayed for a week on my own, and every single person who works here was warm, attentive, and unbelievably thoughtful. Everyone remembered my name, helped me practice my Spanish, checked in on how my day was going, and made me feel completely welcome. It’s the kind of hospitality you don’t forget. The rooms are beautiful, the restaurant is fantastic, and the nightly turndown service with Mayan tea and little treats was such a sweet touch. I did a rooftop cacao ceremony while I was here and it was incredible. What really sets La Zebra apart is the staff. They made my solo trip feel effortless and special. If you want a personal and truly lovely experience on the beach, this is the place.

Google
La Zebra is truly our favorite hotel anywhere, every stay somehow tops the last! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so cared for. A special thank you to Juan Carlos, who went above and beyond throughout our visit, making sure we had fresh tea in our room each night, decorating for our celebrations, and recommending (and even reserving) some of the best restaurants in Tulum, like Casa Banana. The hotel itself is perfection. We loved relaxing on the beds by the beach, where our son could safely play in the sand and nap in the shade. The guacamole and ceviche were easily some of our favorite meals of the trip. Our room’s private plunge pool was such a treat. it made it easy to enjoy some quiet time together while our son napped peacefully inside (monitored from our baby monitor). Our son also loved the playground on the beach, and the thoughtful staff made his stay even more special by surprising him with a free shirt and a piñata to remember our time there, such a sweet and personal gesture that meant so much to us as a family. Another reason we love La Zebra is how walkable everything is. There are amazing restaurants, shops, and sister properties just steps away, including Lula, where we joined a complimentary yoga class that was such a lovely bonus. We always talk about our time at La Zebra and how special it felt. Every visit gets better and better, and we truly cannot wait to return. This place will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

This is absolutely not the level of service one would expect from a luxury hotel. My friends and I (a group of four) were excited to visit after hearing so many wonderful things about the hotel and its beach club. We arrived around noon to a nearly empty beach area and accepted the MXN 1,300 per-person entry fee without hesitation. However, when we asked to use two front daybeds, we were unexpectedly refused. Despite two entire rows of queen-sized daybeds sitting completely empty, we were told that all four of us had to share a single bed—while every other two-person group was seated on their own bed. When we asked why, the staff said they needed to “save space for other guests,” even though those guests were not paying more, and we were not paying less. They still refused to seat us the same way they seated everyone else. What made the situation worse was that this wasn’t just one staff member. Two waiters and a manager insisted on this unreasonable arrangement, and their attitude felt dismissive and disrespectful. We left extremely disappointed. This experience was far below the standards of a luxury property and left a very negative impression on what should have been a highlight of our trip.

We stayed in a room with a plunge pool outside and an ocean view. We really didn’t want to leave our room because it was so comfortable and in such a beautiful setting! One of the highlights was enjoying the heated pool in the evening and watching thundershowers off in the distance and listening to the wonderful music playing at the bar nearby. It was truly a magical experience. ||Every night there is a turndown service and they serve fresh herbal tea and a little treat. We stayed three days and each night it was a different treat and they were all delicious.||We also can’t say enough about the staff at the Zebra. They were all so hospitable and accommodating with all our requests. We felt like we were not just guests, but friends too.||We also regularly enjoyed the restaurant at the adjacent sister hotel with its beautiful outdoor patio. The food was delicious and healthy. ||We will definitely return to this hotel!

Google
10 out of 10 the best place in tulum don’t waste time anywhere else! We went all up and down the hotel zone to find a place and this place is a hidden gem! So much nicer and better so clean so welcoming and super friendly staff and people there. They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and provide a safe place for everyone. We saw families with small children and couples all felt welcome and enjoyed this place together. The energy was amazing. Also a plus the parking is free! We met the CEO Juan what a quality guy he made us feel so welcome and took time to visit with us. You can certainly tell they care about each and every person whether they are a guest staying at the hotel or guests that come in for the day. They also offer a wonderful area to watch football upstairs with the NFL red zone so everybody can watch their team. It was a wonderful experience. We will never forget it and will definitely choose to only stay there when we return to Tulum you can tell all of the staff care so much about Making the experience for each and every person special. They are providing a high-quality safe place that is extremely needed in this hotel zone! Great job!

Google
Overall nice stay. Responsive service. Clean room. Great A/C. Great food. Sea view is barely sea view, so not worth the extra cost unless you manage to get the most forward sea view room out of the 3 on either side. WARNING: When you price out your stay on their website or Hilton’s website the room rate doesn’t change based on the number of people in the room so I didn’t pay attention to listing out the info for all 4 of us when I did the booking on Hilton — but then when we arrived they wanted to charge us an extra $150 a night for for son and daughter. Just an FYI for anyone used to Hilton to cross your t’s and dot your i’s. It was an unpleasant and protracted start to the stay but La Zebra eventually sorted it and we went in to have a nice family beach holiday and would def go back.

Google
We stayed at Lula which is the neighboring hotel and I left a review there five stars absolutely amazing. The restaurant service for both Lula and Zebra was 5 star. I can’t name one staff member specifically/c they were all awesome! They are accommodating, friendly and warm. The food was out of this world! The steak tacos and guacamole were two of my favorite things but there is not enough room to mention everything else! Have a margarita and let the beautiful staff spoil you❤️

Yelp
Wow the BEST service ever!!! Every person treated us like kings, They upgraded our room for free to a room wt a pool. The food was Authentic Mexican Delish, The drinks were so so so refreshing BUT our favorite was Horchata! Everymorning we had fresh handmade bread like conchas so good! We were sad to leave but totally and absolutly rexomended!

Yelp
I didn't stay at the hotel, so I can't mention anything regarding the rooms, but the drinks are amazing. Use real fruit to make a pineapple vodka , drunk asf after 2 drinks. Great for baby under the shade on the beds on the beach. No hidden fees or bs, just spend $600 pesos and your good to stay all day. Pool has swim up bar, beach was clean and nobody hounding you to buy a bracelet

Yelp
Incredible hotel in a slightly quieter part of all the action in Tulum. Still walkable to everything, but the hotel feels like a tranquil oasis right on the sand. Service is excellent across the board. Abraham was especially wonderful during our stay. The rooms are really nice a spacious. Cleaning staff is excellent and provide a delightful turndown service with complementary tea and local chocolates. Nice Touch! The hotel is family friendly and even has a small, cute, jungle style playground for kids while not feeling like the big resort theme park. Far from it, it is an intimate, boutique resort. Perhaps the biggest highlight is the food. The restaurant is excellent! Highly recommend Hotel La Zebra for individuals, couples and families a like.

Yelp
Perfect beachside setting in Tulum. Convenient parking available for our rental car. Staff were very attentive. Room (#26) was comfy and had an amazing view of the beach. Very quiet location - except for the one night there was salsa dancing and a band. However as promised they ended by 11 and it was fun to have that entertainment right there. It was our first visit to Tulum so we were also super happy with WHERE this is in relation to shops and restaurants. We really had a great walk either way on the beach to experience other places during the day, and in the evening we were close enough to walk to many places for food or cocktails. Loved the amenities at the hotel- 2 bars, restaurant with delicious food, in room pour-over coffee set up, safe, fridge, safe drinking water. Would recommend La Zebra!

Yelp
I want to go back to Tulum and wouldn't normally revisit the same hotel as I always want a different travel experience, however, it would be hard to imagine staying anywhere else. The beach front location, the incredible food and the individual pools are amazing. The coffee is so fantastic that I brought a bag home with me and come to find out is from a nearby area and only available through a handful of upscale locations. We were able to participate in a turtle hatching and assisted the turtles as they made their journey to the water. I really couldn't say enough awesome things about this spot. I hope it's not booked when I want to go back!

Yelp
Stayed at another Hotel in Tulum and came here for the Beach and Food. Great Restaurant Food, Drink and Beach view. Free parking for guest across the street.

Yelp
Absolutely loved La Zebra! We had the most incredible experience here-- we felt like royalty! The staff were so so friendly and always smiling. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and we enjoyed a nice surprise every night such as tea, chocolate, or mezcal. They even gifted a spray that we can take home to remind us of our beautiful room in Tulum! We also enjoyed lounging on the beach and ordering drinks and food. I would highly recommend staying at this boutique hotel!

Yelp
I cannot wait to go back to this place! The staff was so kind and welcoming, and our place was always tidied up each day - that sand gets messy! If I go back, I'd stay there again 100%

Yelp
La Zebra has been an amazing hotel but due to the recent sargassum you can't use the beach. The sargassum smells and while the hotels are doing there best to contain it, it defeats the purpose of paying a steep premium to be by the ocean. Also, during our stay the WiFi goes out, the electricity went out and the water was out. Makes you incredibly bummed when you're paying top dollar and you can brush your teeth, cool off or use the internet.

Yelp
Stayed here for seven nights. Great experience ! Rooms are awesome, with dip pool in the front with direct access to the beach, I like to dip my feet and clean them off before going back into the room. The hotel restaurant is lovely. We mostly just lounged and stayed local, there are a few local restaurants within walking distance. Our favorite was ARCA, which we went to multiple times. This is a great hotel, would go back. Experience is upper scale, but totally worth it!
google avatar

Gloria W.

Yelp
Best fish tacos I have ever had! The margaritas are also a must get. The restaurant was along the beach, and we had no trouble getting a table for lunch on a weekday. The second floor pool area was beautiful, so don't forget to check it out after your meal. Reasonably priced for Tulum, with exceptional food and service, will definitely be coming back if I visit Tulum again!

Yelp
La Zebra is gorgeous. But it was possibly the meal we had in Tulum that left the least impression on me. That's probably because their chilaquiles were the worst I had in Tulum. Everywhere else in Tulum you get tortillas that have been cooked down in salsa. The chilaquiles served at La Zebra were similar to chilaquiles I've had in the Mexican food desert of Nashville, Tennessee (I'm exaggerating, it's no that bad!): a bird's nest of hard, crunchy tortilla chips with a drizzle of salsa over the top. If plain tortilla chips with an overcooked egg on top are your thing, this restaurant will make chilaquiles that will blow your socks off. (My husband had the eggs with chilaca sauce, which he liked). The restaurant is beautiful, and the view is stunning. But that's sort of true for everywhere in Tulum's hotel zone. And this was one of the least impressive meals we had in our week in Tulum.

Yelp
This review is for the private Chef's Table tasting at La Zebra. We stayed at their sister resort, Mi Amor, and could not resist the chance to have a private meal made for us by Chef Eleazar. Boy he did not disappoint! Ten courses...8 drink pairings....everything was delicious and artfully crafted. It was wonderful tasting Mayan food cooked from locals, as well as Mexican cuisine with a contemporary twist. Tomato and corn gazpacho...salad with jicama foam and beet purée...pork cheek...tomatillo and mint palette cleanser (frozen by liquid nitrogen!)...churros and corn ice cream....it was all amazing. Chef Eleazar, Dan, Felipe and Alberto took great care of us for 3 wonderful hours. An experience we will never forget from our memorable honeymoon in Tulum!

Yelp
Where the jet-set set to rest. Beautiful people gather in a most beautiful part of the world. La Zebra has an amazingly accommodating staff.

Yelp
This was our first stop in Tulum this past weekend (July 12th) and it was fantastic!! I was with a group of 6 women and the staff made it such a great welcome to the area! They were so polite and accommodating that we truly enjoyed our time there. We went for drinks and a meal at the beach club and had delicious tacos and a specialty beverage! Erick, Beto, Martin, and Walter were phenomenal! I truly hope they get the recognition they deserve because they went above and beyond to make our time there great. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing time at the beach. Additionally, the security agent Daniel was very reassuring that the items in our car would be safe and took extra precautions to make sure we were comfortable with the security. All around great employees and a great experience! Loved it here!

Yelp
We are usually more budget travelers and would stay in Tulum Pueblo but when we found that La Zebra was having a 1/2 special on rooms we decided it was too good a deal to pass up. We had one of the Garden View Cabanas for 3 nights, just steps from the beach. The room was nicely sized and included a refrigerator, room safe, A/C and ceiling fan. The king sized bed was one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on. A nice selection of high quality organic soaps and shampoos were provided along with a complementary bottle of tequila! Bottled water is also provided for drinking and brushing teeth. The only draw back to our room was there is only a divider between the sleeping and toilet area so be sure to travel with someone you are very comfortable with :) We spent most of our time on the lounge chairs on the beach, sipping on excellent cocktails and enjoying some really good Mexican craft beers. We only ate breakfast and lunch at their restaurant which was excellent (incredible coffee). There are also plenty of really good restaurants within walking distance. The entire staff was amazing from start to finish - some of the best trained staff I've encountered in all of my travels. Everybody was so friendly and welcoming. The only minor inconvenience was their wi-fi - I know people come to disconnect and relax but my wife did have to so some things online for her business. The connection was slow and would frequently disconnect even when the signal was strong. There is plenty of other nearby restaurants on the beach road that offer free wi-fi if you need to reliable, fast connection I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Tulum!

Yelp
Fell in Love with La Zebra!! We will be back. The room, the drinks , the staff, the view.... oh and the toothpaste and conditioner! Even on the one gray day it was radiant!

Yelp
Have been there many times, my boyfriend loves the burger and I love the shrimp ceviche but anyways everything is good, the chef is fantastic .... cheers to that! Drinks from the beach bar are also great get info for some special days, " for 2 for one margarita" etc. Big fan of the place, very familiar, the stuff is also very nice and fast.

Yelp
Have been here several times. Always a good experience. Food is good, drinks are fun and the beach and bathrooms are clean. Wanted to try the BBQ which I think is on Saturday, but was on wrong day this trip.

Adam S.

Yelp
Absolutely legendary service provided by Joss and Zaama. Wonderful staff. The best cocktails ever at their bar "The Mulberry Project". Alex and Elliot are world class bartenders/mixologists. Food is top notch. Great BBQ on Saturday. Other staff was incredible as well. Such a gem of a hotel in the prime area of Tulum. Walking distance to some of the best restaurants and clubs. Went with a group of 10 guys and would recommend this hotel to all!

Yelp
My amazing fiancé booked this hotel. As you get overwhelmed with so many hotel choices, let me tell you why this hotel was perfect in every way: -Room I3 (that is not the #13 but the letter "I" and then a 3. It is considered the penthouse because it is the second floor and has 180 degrees of vast blue water and white sand views. Plus a very large hot tub that is incredibly romantic!! -fantastic food. We ate there four times! Shrimp tacos, huevos rancheros, chips & multiple salsas. Such reasonable prices. -Margarita - how many times can I say margarita? and rum drinks? -the beach is raked DAILY. no seaweed. Walking the beautiful beaches, you can see which resorts rake ...and which ones do not. Makes a difference. -proximity to two of the best restaurants - walking - Hartwood and Arca. -Ansara - yoga retreat hotel is next door. You must take a class there. Andrea was the instructor. I do triathlon; I do not do yoga. yes, I should. Yes, I strained a calf muscle. No I was unable to do an inversion. Yes, I tried. Twice! -Huge room and shower!! -welcome gifts of waters, wine, beer, nuts, candies in your room. Such a treat. -cabanas - great shade and plenty of seating - soft seating and beds. In the states, where the big resorts charge $200-$500 for a day of cabanas, these are free. Spend your money on tips and drinks & food. -outstanding service by everyone: the restaurant staff, housekeeping, management. Internet is spotty but to be honest, I was glad it was because we relaxed and took advantage of this incredible piece of Mexico.

Yelp
So gorgeous!! Fabulous service. Amazing breakfast. This place is perfect for relaxing and beautiful scenery and people watching. Right on the beach with the ocean breeze gently caressing everything. The signature omelet is so delicious. The juices are the best addition to any meal.

Yelp
As you may have heard there's a big seaweed issue going on but La Zebra pretty much fixed that! They spend over three hours a day cleaning the beach and it's the cleanest I have seen in Tulum, Playa Del Carmen and Riviera Maya! Thank you for all of your hard work! If you're trying to decide on visiting this area you must stay here - it's pristine and white sand is like powder! The service was great and we enjoyed grilled fish tacos on homemade corn tortillas on the beach and were so pleased. The drinks are also extremely tasty! Shout out to Oscar and his excellent hospitality! He greeted us when we arrived and treated us like family. Love this place!

Yelp
Visited Le Zebra during our vacation. Very nice ambience, location and service. Live music was awesome! Food was really good! We took one of those tables on the beach! Enjoyed the dinner with some drinks and the live music in the evening. Try to visit and enjoy the ambience if you visit Tulum! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
As a family we highly recommend this hotel! Everything was absolutely amazing and perfect. The hotel is located in such a great location in Tulum and right on the beach, any suite you are given is just a few steps from the beach. The suites are the perfect size for a family, we are a family of 3 and found it to be very spacious. The rooms are chic and stylish, not to mention absolutely immaculate. The service provided daily is absolutely amazing, from the cleanliness to the evening tea & chocolates provided every night. The cleaning team is super sweet and super attentive, words cannot explain how amazing they are. All the service and staff at La Zebra was absolutely amazing! Starting from the concierge, Vanessa, to the general manager, Natalia. These ladies were very attentive and caring of how we were doing and what we had planned for the day. They were both there to give us additional tips and ideas to what our thoughts were for the day and schedule transport if we needed it. There aren't enough words to describe how great the food was! Everything was fresh, organic and served with a smile. The entire serving staff were absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The moment they saw us walking in they greeted us and asked us how our day is going. We became very found of every single on of the serving staff we encountered but we have nothing but good words to say about Juan, Primo & Santiago. These three guys were very attentive and very helpful. Whether we were having a meal at the restaurant or lounging on the beach and needing some snacks or drinks, these guys we absolutely amazing. They gave us amazing recommendations on what to order and always had new suggestions, they also would provide details on each dish that one would not know by just reading the menu. These three servers also had tips and suggestions of what to see and where to go in Tulum with additional history of why we should visit these places. We had numerous meals at the restaurant range from breakfast, lunch & dinner and could not find a single plate we did not like. Each plate was just as amazing as the next. Most, if not all, were suggested by one of the servers. Must give a huge thank you to the serving staff for getting together with my dad and surprising me with a little birthday cake and singing happy birthday, it was truly very sweet and special. Words cannot express how amazing everything and everyone was on this trip. We stay a total of 6 nights and wish we stayed longer. We are looking forward on returning to La Zebra, hopefully next summer! We highly recommend this for any type of vacation!

Yelp
The environment is super romantic but the food is a little bit overpriced compared with other restaurants we've been to.

Yelp
One of our favorite places to come have lunch and maybe do some drinking on the beach. Great beach front service and we just love la zebra

Yelp
The location is amazing, the food and drinks were great. They offer salsa lessons and everyone was very friendly. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a chill place to enjoy the beach, food & drinks, and people watching.

Yelp
Whenever I go to Tulum, I make sure to eat here at least once. It is right on the beach, so you have a very nice view when eating. There is a thatched roof, and the food is tasty. Service can be slow, but the employees are nice. I would recommend to a tourist visiting Tulum. food: 4.5 stars employee kindness: 5 stars location/view: 5 stars tidiness: 4 stars (there is some sand on the floor, because it's on the beach) timeliness of food: 3.5 stars

Justin B.

Yelp
From the time we got to the hotel until we left we were treated so well by the staff. They found us transportation from the airport. If we needed any info on excursions or restaurants they were right there to help us out. I would recommend this place to anyone that is coming to tulum. Very kid friendly place as well. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
La zebra will now be an annual girl trip. I highly, highly recommend this hotel. Service has been incredible, food is delicious, and it's an absolute beautiful resort! Best vacation I have ever been on!

Yelp
We ended coming here three times during our trip. Two nights fora whole dinner. Another for appetizers. The food is good and the presentation and service are very good. My wife's mains were always good. My two were both a bit dry. The appetizers were very good. They take credit card.

Hola!!! My husband and I enjoyed several meals during our weekend visit at La Zebra. The food is off the charts! BUT, that's not even the beginning. The staff was incredible. We were treated like family. Cristina and Margarita are dynamite twins, who cashier with style and flair. Happy, funny snd sweet. Filiberto, Celso, Jaire and Juan get out! So helpful with our Spanish practice, along with a fantastic sense of humor. Everyone was AMAZING. Last, but not least, Christian, the Bar Manager: what a gem. If we could hire him away, we would. ;) We hope to be back in the future. Until then, thank you so much for a beautiful and most memorable experience. Asta Luego Amigos! Yelp
I was very disappointed with La Zebra. The location is a high end hotel with a nice beach area. The view is nice, but the view is nice everywhere in Tulum. The prices are quite high and the quality was...extremely disappointing. The steak taco was good quality for mexico, but for the price, should have been a better taco. Even more disappointing was the service. We were there around 5 or 6pm and there were 1 or 2 other tables in the restaurant. I'd say 8% capacity. The waiter completely forgot about us, didn't check on us for long periods of time and came by twice in an hour. He seemed to be huddled at the register with 4 other waiters and a manager the entire time laughing and having a great time, I guess. I had to walk over to ask for more limes. We were told the hotel was a minimum of $900/night. If that's the service you get for your $900/night, they won't be in business long. Management clearly doesn't understand customer service at any level.Take a pass on this place and find a spot with a more down to earth vibe, more reasonable prices and better service.

Yelp
We just had a lovely lunch @ La Zebra sitting in the sun in the beach :). Our waiter was very attentive & friendly ~ forgot a couple things & was apologetic & quickly retrieved what we had asked for. The aguachile ceviche was fresh & tasty. My friend had the lime soup & raved over every bite. Chips were served with a variety of delicious salsas. They have nice smoothies & fruit/veggie juices as well. Bathrooms were nice and clean.

Yelp
We enjoyed a romantic dinner and the best Mexican food of our trip here. The tortilla soup has heft and is superb. It could be a meal of its own, but don't stop there! Ceviche was amazingly fresh and the appetizer was enough for a meal and leftovers. The candlelit, open air restaurant has a relaxing ambiance and while we didn't stay here, the accommodations look worthy of consideration for our next trip. The bartender takes great pride in his tasty creations and had a lovely demeanor, cutting open fresh coconuts and handing out straws for kids who found such treasures on the beach. Everyone took pride in their work and service.

Yelp
Everything was great except the hotel's cabana reservation policy. Guests are instructed to leave a hotel provided beach towel on your selected cabana at 9am or after to reserve it. But I learned by surprise and disappointment that hotel guests or staff simply remove your towel when you aren't around, which happened to me twice in one trip - towel down, and after an hour at breakfast I come back and someone else is at my cabana. It puts a big damper on your trip when at no fault of your own you can't enjoy the beach at a beach front hotel. Staff and management tried to find me a comparable, alternative cabana, which was impossible because all of the best ones had been reserved by other guests. Best = cabanas with optional shade and consistent internet connectivity. I was comped a bbq meal for my trouble, which was nice. My suggestion to other guests would be to leave some sort of inexpensive personal belonging that is less likely to be removed than an unidentifiable towel.

Yelp
Great location on a wonderful beach! My sister just got married here last weekend and it was a fantastic wedding. The staff was super great and the food and accommodations were the best! Thank you for an amazing vacation stay. I will recommend this place and defiantly be back.. who knows maybe for my own wedding! Also had my first try at CRICKETS... yes I ate one.. fun time all around. BTW they accommodated for 60 people at the wedding so BAM.. good job La Zebra!

Yelp
The food and service here is so good that I didn't leave the grounds for three days. I don't like the layout of the place: the center of the hotel is the windy and underlit restaurant. Other than that it is perfect.

Yelp
La Zebra was such a great choice when it came to resorts. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and professional. The food was always fresh and delicious. I saw a comment regarding the chilaquiles not being so good, and I have to say, I found them to be fabulous. Everything that I ate at La Zebra was spot on and fresh. Never greasy or overdone. The rooms are well maintained and have a hip, modern vibe. I stayed in the beachfront suite with pool. It was spacious, right on the water and I ended up using the dipping pool quite frequently to cool off. The showers in the room are enormous. Literally, 12 people could fit into the double shower, and have room for more! (Not that I tried it). It's nice to have foot baths at each entrance to keep the sand out. The room was serviced frequently and there were numerous "treats" left in the room as compliments of the hotel. La Zebra is centrally located on the beach road. I was able to walk to almost anywhere from my locale, either on the road or via the beach. The hotel was secure, with nightly watch and always a staff presence. When I needed taxis, questions, recommendations, the hotel staff took great care of me. Also, and quite important, La Zebra maintains a great ambiance. Lively, but not crazy. Great music. Sunday Salsa nights are not to be missed! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Dance dance dance! Great live music. Food is excellent. This is a favorite to try out dancing skills. The kids even love it. I've never been disappointed at LeZebra!
