La Zona Hostel

Not a bad hostel, location isn't the best as it's quite far from the main square. Free breakfast is good and tasty. No bar but has a communal area where we met some people. Staff are nice. Beds could be improved.

Nice beds with curtains. Gender neutral shared bathroom area plus one private bathroom. No female only dorms. Breakfast is either 2 slices of toast or American pancakes with cereal and juice. It is super super sweet. Since they hire people to work in the kitchen, it would be nice to serve traditional food such as pupusas and local fruit instead. They offer laundry services onsite with same day turnaround. The neighborhood is quiet and upscale with many restaurants and other businesses in walking distance. The staff members would occasionally give me completely incorrect advice about various things such as which bus station to go to, so I wouldn’t rely on asking them for tourism advice. It would be nice if they had a hostel WhatsApp to more easily buddy up with people to go out. 15-20min by taxi ($3) to the historic city center. They have several dogs running around and occasionally jumping on people in the common area. Overall this hostel is clean and has a nice ambiance and I would stay again, but the price is super high.

I had a very good experience with this hostel. The owner and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Very tasty breakfast included. The hostel is clean and has a nice shared area to socialize. They have good rooms with big lockers. Very relaxed environment. I’ll return. Thank you all, I’ll recommend this hostel to my friends.

Rooms were clean, had curtains and Aircon. In a newer part of town, with not loads nearby so not easily walkable to the historic centre. Breakfast is fairly good. Tours offered were very expensive.

Had dorm room. Could use new mattreses and frames. Private rooms looked better. Other than that...lowest price in town and has all a traveler needs.

This place have shared room with other people and they also have separate rooms so be careful when booking to check specifically if you want you own room…because if you don’t you may end up sleeping with others in the same room also if you don’t mind to be around all dogs they have (3) the people is very nice but again don’t have a lot of expectations

Convenient location close to the international bus depots and lots of restaurants but a bus ride away from the city centre. Two dorms have nice pods but one is more dingy and has traditional bunk beds. Free breakfast is great and changes every day. The bathroom on the middle floor has a nice warm showers but the upstairs bathrooms aren't so great and not all the doors lock.

Decent. Very hot in the dorms because no AC. However, the hostel looks quite nice, staff is great and service is amazing! Unfortunately a bit far from the centre of the city. Accessible by bus and staff helps you navigate it. Breakfast was also amazing.
