Absolutely fabulous! Kalita extraction method with Kongo Mungo, subtle lemongrass flavor blend. Golden milk. Everything well done!

Best coffee in Buenos Aires, hands down. This is the perfect place to go to if you care more about the quality of coffee than the "coolness" of the place. The cafe is nice, don't get me wrong, but there isn't that much space where to sit down and enjoy your beverage, with just a couple of armchairs and then chairs at the counter. But the quality of both the coffee and the service more than make up for it. You can get the classic cappuccino, flat white, espresso and so on, but also try the many different varieties fo coffee they offer in many brew styles, like V60 drip coffee, served in a quirky lab conical flask (in theme with the store name). Every coffee you choose DOES taste different and it's a great idea to visit over and over and try them all to see which is your favorite in a "world coffee tour".This is THE place to go to buy coffee: they offer a very nice variety of South American and even some African coffees, with tasting notes, that are expertly ground to your specifications (from percolator to espresso) and then hermetically re-sealed for you to take home. The people working there are very friendly and also knowledgeable about coffe and are ready to help you with your choice and to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a bit (but not much) more expensive than your classic coffee chain (and less expensive than Starbucks!), but the quality is just another whole level completely. This is the cafe I visited most often and with most pleasure during my stay in Buenos Aires!

In the heart of Buenos Aires, you'll find LAB café. This spot not only offers excellent coffee but also the opportunity to explore the various techniques that influence its unmistakable flavor. ☕️ With a carefully curated selection of sweets and pastries, LAB takes the coffee experience to new heights. The variety and styles of coffee available cater to every taste, turning each visit into an adventure. My recommendation is to try the Flat White, a perfect fusion of espresso and microfoamed milk that highlights the exceptional quality of their beans. Don't hesitate to visit this place and let yourself be captivated by the magic of its coffee!

Google
Great spot to work, cool atmosphere. Coffee is delicious. Well recommended.

Google
Very nice specialty coffee shop ☕️ They have all the methods of making coffee, filter coffee also. You can find a wide variety of coffee beans to buy (see pictures for details). They grind you the coffee as you wish, we needed for Moka and also for French-press. They also have kombucha made by them that is delicious! Not to forget that all the girls in the stuff are very nice polite and friendly!

Google
The coffee is always excellent. The staff is friendly. The vibes are great. And it's a really good price. I come here 3 times per week. I love LAB 🥰. Edit: every time I go somewhere else, it's more expensive, and worse coffee. LAB is the best!

Google
My fiancé is coffee mad as it’s a true passion of his. He has declared this the best coffee in Buenos Aires so far. I on the other hand am not a coffee fan at all but one of the staff gave me taste of their coffee kombucha which is excellent. Quite sweet for my tastes but with lots of ice or some soda water it’s excellent. Also a great spot to bring your computer and hangout whilst sipping through a few coffees and eating some of the Delicious medialunes (best when they come fresh out of the oven). Big thumbs up from us two Australians.

Google
Absolutely different place, must visit for coffee and chocolate lovers. Best selection of coffees and chocolates. Professional and welcoming team. Coffee from machine and in alternative brew. Chocolate from carefully selected beans. This is the experience to have!!!

Yelp
We always try to find great local cafe's and roasters while traveling so of course Buenos Aires was no exception. This café in Palermo was fantastic! Great coffee and medialuna with a relaxed atmosphere.

Yelp
A little generous with the four stars, as my latte was served barely lukewarm, but I have a feeling they don't make that sort of mistake often here. It's a hip, stylish, and popular place, and temperature notwithstanding, my drink had all the right flavor notes. I'll give them another shot soon...

Yelp
They have Ethiopia! Baristas know coffee. Sit at the counter and chat them up. Water jug on table by the door.

Adam W.

Yelp
Very delicious...especially their specials which were really unique. Can get tough to find a seat but beautiful decor. It's on the very expensive end but the salmon on toast had a healthy portion. Has wifi and I see people working from there during the day. It isn't loud.

Yelp
This place was one of our favorite coffee places in Buenos Aires!! I got the summer cold brew which was super refreshing and a great size. My boyfriend got the double macchiato with cashew milk and it was AMAZING tasted like a pastry it was so yummy and the perfect bit of sweetness. Highly recommend!

Mark L.

Yelp
Great coffee made by coffee specialists. I had the double macchiato with cashew milk. It had great taste and the perfect ratio between the espresso shots and milk. The ladies working were also very kind.
google avatar

Yelp
Way cool!!! These guys take coffee to the max. We both ended up with the Congo V60 and enjoyed watching one of the experts prepare it with thought and science. The filters were even warmed to temp prior to adding the grounds. The beaker service is also unique to the LAB but clearly fitting. This area is hipster and you likely will find locals enjoying the ambiance. One improvement... The seating is not made to hang out long. Wooden stools line the bar and encourage faster coffee sipping. There are just a few comfy chairs in the back but they were occupied the entire time we were there.

Yelp
I think it was my 5th cafe con leche in BA.. found this place on Yelp and so glad it didn't disappoint! This coffee shop just opened several weeks ago! At the heart of the awesome Palermo area.. very trendy and hip decor interior.. with good coffee! The barristers are very knowledgeable about their coffee and by the why they speak very good English! I asked them why it's a training center and they explained because they offer coffee classes too.. seems like they really care about their coffee, 5 stars for that!!
google avatar

Pedro B.

Yelp
Great variety and quality of coffee. Kind service, very quick and helpful. The atmosphere is quite trendy, as is most of Palermo. Definitely worth trying out. Tremenda variedad y calidad de café. La atención rápida y atenta. Buena ambientación, trendy como es la norma en Palermo. Vale la pena probarlo.

Yelp
Fantastic coffee shop and roaster in the Palermo area. Small shop, always busy with locals and tourists. If you are looking for a cool place with great atmosphere, thisnisnthe spot. I tried the medialunas and cappuccino, both were great. Would return in the future for sure.

Yelp
This was the best coffee I found while in Buenos Aires. The pour over was incredible and a style of coffee that was hard to find in other coffee shops in the city. Solid food selections to choose from too. The inside was open, airy, and had lovely decoration. There was free WiFi and outlets with a fair amount of seating as well, so a great place to spend a bit of time on your computer too. My friends and I who were visiting Buenos Aires parked ourselves there for a break from our traveling craziness, and it was such a delightful coffee-filled respite. Highly recommend making a stop (it might become your favorite too).

Yelp
Great local coffee shop in Palermo Hollywood. They are serious about their roasting. Baked goods were delicious too!
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing amazing place. Super modern style, blackboards everywhere, high tables, wooden stools, sofas... seems like we are in Central London. Very clean, and trendy music. Very friendly staff and tasty cakes... coffee is good but a wee bit bitter for me but still defo a place to come back though..

Yelp
After a hike to get here from the center of the city near Congresso I was very relieved to find this coffee roasting house in the heart of Palermo Hollywood. From the outside its gives a modern vibe with giant glass windows while inside is a mix of industrial and homey - high stools, wooden bar counters and a cozy couches and chairs in the back corner. The music that day was mainly grunge and alternative rock (circa 90s) with tracks from the Foo Fighters, Nirvana and The Mars Volta. The baristas were nice and knowledgeable, even asked if I wanted to speak in English so note to foreigners - they are bilingual. I ordered one of their regular drip and a pour over and both were incredible - dark, rich taste. The coffee came on a saucer with my name on it, which was an nice personal touch. I also got a slice of one of their sweet breads which was moist and delicious. They roast their own beans - or at least that's what I was led to believe - and train their baristas about a quality service and education about their coffee on location. They sell their coffee in whole bean and ground as well. The quality is worth the price so no complaints for me. They do have a bathroom for paying customers - not a Starbucks - but its clean. Another feature was hooks under the bar for a purse or bags. Free wi-fi just ask them for the password.

Yelp
Funny story. I ordered an iced coffee. It was a shaken iced espresso, poured into a martini glass. I get on a team meeting via Skype. And, it all hit me. I can't pick the glass up and take sips. My coworkers will think I'm an alcoholic. Our VP was on the call too. He'd judge me for taking sips of what looked like an alcoholic drink. It was a brand meeting with important updates. So I didn't want to risk explaining why I'm drinking coffee from a martini glass. So I had to wait a full hour. It was the best damn coffee I've ever waited for. Go visit the LAB when you're around. It's as hipster as it sounds.

Yelp
Stopped by a store in the 'hood and afterward needed to do work, so this was the place that I stumbled upon. Was kinda American-ish - even had the names in English, I think - but I'm no snob. Had a cappuccino and remarked to myself how smooth it was, then forgot about it. Two days later, was looking in my tourist guide and this joint was mentioned. They raved about the coffee and I thought, "Yeah, they're right - I need to visit again." The staff was very friendly as well, which is a nice change from the sanctimony-phonies in Brooklyn.
google avatar

Max G.

Yelp
If you are around, the best place to have breakfast or an afternoon coffee. You can also enjoy tasty sweet treats. It's a must!

Isabel C.

Yelp
I am like this and I want you to accept me but to accept you I must talk honestly with you and tell you about my EXES.
google avatar

Yelp
After a year of sadly over foamed and sweetened cappuccinos in Rio, I'm overjoyed at finding this coffee shop. In addition to excellent coffee, there is a daily display of baked goods ranging from the ubiquitous slimmed down croissant-like, medialunas to chocolate chip cookies. Seating is limited to a small area in the back, stools around the coffee bar and facing the window but they do serve coffee to go. Also thumbs up to baristas who are kind and patient. I have a feeling I'll be visiting every day during our stay in Buenos Aires.
google avatar

Yelp
This is a nice place! Hip, friendly attitude. Much of the staff speaks English and if they don't they're still helpful and friendly. Reasonable coffee-shop prices. Coffee is good, with an emphasis on pairing bean with specific brewing technique. This was pretty cool, and having more than one cup allows to try different methods as well. As others have said, the chocolate chip cookies are otherworldly. I'm a cookie aficionado, and these are among the best I've tasted anywhere in the world. What keeps it from five stars? As others have mentioned, seating is less-than-comfortable, though I was fortunate to snag a chair at the table in the back which made it bearable. Also, the music is incredibly loud. Almost club loud. Nice for a place exclusively to-go, but weird for a place that you might want to sit and talk or work.
google avatar

Elisabeth B.

Yelp
The atmosphere is wonderful; a taste of my home, the PNW in the U.S. However, I wasn't a huge fan of the coffee. Maybe I am not as coffee-knowledgeable as I wish I was, but the coffee had a sour overtone to it. The staff is impressive, the drink-ideas intriguing, but the taste is a bit lacking to me. I still recommend coming and experiencing this coffee haven, though, and make up your own mind!

Yelp
All day baby. Awesome coffee shop with the range and integrity to back up their style.
google avatar

Yelp
Yes! Amazing coffee in BA! All of the other reviews have it right. This place is great. The attention to aesthetic is only surpassed by the quality coffee and tasty snack. The staff are friendly, can communicate in English but also are happy to entertain someone practicing their Spanish.
google avatar

Francis L.

Yelp
One of the best coffee shops in BA. They have a wide variety of brewing methods and coffee beans from many parts of the world. They probably meet the demands to most of third wave coffee geeks. They also serves some nice sweets to go along with the coffee.
google avatar

Anthony W.

Yelp
This is the best coffee in the city. Strong espresso, and their iced beverages actually taste like coffee (unlike the rest of the city ) BUT, before I get too far into the praise, their seating suuuuuucks. It actually hurts my butt. Great atmosphere, but I can never enjoy it. Maybe it's intentional and they're trying to get a really quick turnover, which, if that's the case, is both disappointing and effective. That said, the employees are 1) super chill, 2) super nice/personable, 3) super good at what they do. The lady who makes the baked goods is the bomb, I had the nicest conversation with her last time I was in. Best chocolate chip cookies I've had in BA, and also some damn good carrot cake .
google avatar

Josh B.

Yelp
Drinks = The best coffee I had during my trip to Argentina and Peru. Maybe it doesn't compare with the top notch shops in the U.S. Food = Very good chocolate chip cookie. Can't vouch for any of the other options.
google avatar

Marco L.

Yelp
Best coffee in Palermo? I think so! Their latte and cappuccinos are the real deal and to die for. Try those and fill the belly with some medialunas.
google avatar

Yelp
BEST COFFEE IN BUENOS AIRES As a Barista, I have traveled many parts of the World and have visited a lot of good coffee shops. I must say that Lab Training Center & Coffee Shop with its excellent Coffee and Baristas is one of the best Coffee Shop I have been in the World and certainly the best Coffee Shop in Buenos Aires. This is the place to have great Coffee but also to have a great chat with highly trained Baristas and World Coffee Championship judge Danilo (ask him anything about Coffee and he knows) and one of the funniest person's alive Federico...Also the cakes and the chocolate cookie are amazing. All in all, a place I visit daily and to have GREAT COFFEE with GREAT JOY.
google avatar

Carsten S.

Yelp
Coffee any way you like it ... and expertly made that is. One of the few places in the city that truly makes great coffee
google avatar

Yelp
Awesome coffee shop. Great ambiance and I loved their little bagels with cream cheese.

Yelp
After reading all the yelp reviews of this coffee shop I think I arrived expecting too much. Don't believe the Hype. Regular espresso, average food, nice people.

Franco F.

Yelp
Awesome coffee, great service. The music is a bit loud, other than that, best cafe in Palermo

Pancho I.

Yelp
Really good coffee, flat white was great, good bakery, not that good chairs, But the baristas know a lot, one of my options that area

Fred C.

Yelp
There are hundreds of coffee houses in Buenos Aires. The quality of coffee varies considerably. The best coffee in town can be found at LAB Tostaderos de Cafe, Humbolt 1542, Palermo Hollywood. LAB not only buys some of the best coffee beans in the world, they custom roast them. This is a hi-tech operation. Upstairs, they have a facility for training baristas and sampling coffee by the cupping method (used by professional coffee tasters). This place is dedicated to coffee. They have a few kinds of sweets but it's not a restaurant. Philip (I think he was the manager) was very approachable and was more than happy to talk about coffee. They have every one of the latest devices for producing coffee in addition to their espresso machine. They have Chemex, Aeropress, V60, Kalita, Clever, and Syphon. This is may be the best quality coffee I have ever experienced. Do yourself a favor and order a straight espresso or one of the other methods without any milk or sugar. This is the only way to taste the true flavor of their excellent coffee.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
Sitting in here right now sipping on a V60. Palermo is where all the cool coffee shops and vegan spots are, LAB was the exact caffeine fix I was looking for. Comfortable armchair seats, wifi, a wide range of coffee beans and some clued up baristas (in full hipster attire) - this was exactly the kind of place I was looking for. LAB is an unexpected find amidst many coffee shops which haven't quite caught up with coffee art and the infinite variety of ways to brew coffee. I have been sitting here for the past three hours using the internet and nobody has told me to leave. I'd come back here for some chilled co-working and good coffee.
google avatar

Richard M.

Yelp
Neat cafe with pretty cool staff. Many different beans and different ways of making coffee. Was a bit of a walk from central Palermo but was worth it for a good coffee!!! They run classes on making coffee too.
google avatar

Lord R.

Yelp
This place and crowd are a textbook definition of cool. However, with such high expectations came great disappointment. I dragged here my father in law who is an espresso drinker. We ordered two ristrettos. Both came with no crema at all and the coffee had an acid taste, which can be expected from Colombian beans. The barista explained that this roast does not have a lot of crema. I have had many Colombian bean-derived ristrettos in other places with plenty of crema. I urge the owners of the "Barista training center" to better train their own crew.
google avatar

Keith L.

Yelp
Great coffee. Friendly staff. A good place to grab a quick coffee and try some new blends. Recommended!

Yelp
best flat white in town. period

Ervina M.

Yelp
Great concept and great coffee! For a good ol'cappuccino...very smooth and flavoursome. Then we also tried another one which almost tasted like earl grey tea...Interesting and pleasant!
