Google
I visited Laboratorio Espresso because I'd heard great things about the coffee, and the name is fun! It's small, has a chill atmosphere, and service was quick and friendly. The coffee was delicious, but could have been hotter. It was slightly below ideal drinking temperature when served, so I had to drink it quickly. Had it been hotter, I'd easily give 5 stars.

Google
It was my first time visiting Glasgow, and I was on the hunt for a great coffee spot in the city - Laboratorio Espresso did not disappoint. I'd heard they were known for their high-quality specialty coffee, so I stopped by for a latte and a bite to eat. The café is small and cozy, but since it was a Sunday, I was lucky enough to secure a seat inside. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the selection of baked goods was too tempting to resist. But most importantly, my coffee was outstanding - smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. I'd even go so far as to say the latte I had might just be one of the best I've ever tasted. Laboratorio Espresso is highly recommended for any coffee lover visiting Glasgow.

I extremely enjoyed my hot chocolate with the pistacho pastry cake (sorry I can’t remember the name, but check the pic 😝)… Wife was also very satisfied and impressed with her coffee… thank God! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨… you guys saved my day! 🥹🤙😎 lol I was pretty impressed by the decoration of the place, a very simple design that offers a nice stylish modern look to the place.

My fav latte in Glasgow🥹🥹🥹🥹 A cute and adorable cafe The acidity is just right, and the roast level is perfectly moderate. Sipping a cup while walking up a slope in the afternoon feels truly blissful.

Google
Very good coffee, well executed and with good beans. The space is very small but in season you can bag a spot outside. Glasgow prices feel always friendly to someone like me who gets most of his out of home coffee in Edinburgh or, worse, in the South of England. Staff aloof and uninterested. Little or no information from them---or around---about what was available and what was in the cup.

Google
Absolutely loved this café, fantastic coffee and a really pleasant, welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend if you’re in Edinburgh!

Google
Great spot in the city centre. Found on the European coffee trip app. Went in for a batch filter. Very satisfied. Good selection of pastries and facilities good and clean. Friendly staff.

Google
Great coffee, at a reasonable price, and a nice place to sit. Winning all round. Serving up DAK coffee for this price is also a real win, so no complaints here!

Yelp
Very cute place, delicious pastries, friendly staff, absolutely atrocious coffee. I mean dirt with hot water.

Yelp
Now this is what I call a flat white! Today I went on a coffee date with my friend and when he asked where I wanted to go I immediately chose here. I'd heard great things about their coffee and knowing that he loves a cappucino I immediately suggested here. We ordered our coffees and I got a cannoli limon as a little treat with mine. We sat outside (in mid-October!) and our coffees were brought to us really quickly. I love a good bit of coffee art and the cute little foamy heart on top of my flat white was a good touch. The flat white was beautifully smooth, just the way it should be and as I added a little brown sugar to it the last few sips were like caffienated golden caramel. Yum! My cannolli was lovely too with a sharp lemon cream filling. It was a lovely contrast to the coffee of the flat white. As we sat outside I didn't really get the chance to take in the decor and atmosphere of the place and so I'm withholding that final star until such times I can go and grab lunch here and sit for a while. First impressions though are that Lab Espresso are doing one of the meanest flat whites in Glasgow City Centre.

Yelp
Sniffed out Laboratorio Espresso a wee while ago by chance really; being near the top of West Nile Street it's not an obvious coffee hangout. First thing to point out, it's not just espresso on offer (as my non-coffee drinking friend first thought when I took her, the panic on her face was priceless!), I believe they do a fairly decent cuppa cha too according to her. They also have a scrummy cake cabinet, highly recommend giving the velvet chocolate brownie a whirl, and I've spotted a few Italian treats like cannoli's in there too (oh they're an Italian inspired coffee bar by the way, which some of the décor eludes to if you're paying attention). It is quite wee though...maybe only has seating for 10-12 inside (a couple of tables and the rest is stools and perfect for people watching) but has seating outside which could double capacity (on a nice day!). Wifi is free so it doubles as a nice spot for working too. They're also part of Glasgow's Independent Coffee scene stocking Dear Green so pick up a wee card, collect a stamp in each coffee venue (10 in total) and enjoy a freebie once it's all stamped up! It's also an excuse to work your way round lots of other fab Indie coffee places yay! I wouldn't say this was my top choice for coffee in town but it is definitely worth a visit if you're in the vicinity.

Yelp
If you want to go somewhere you can taste *good* filter coffee then this is the place to go. Great selection of brews, as well as the regular espresso drinks. Cakes and sandwiches looked great too, although I only tried the Velvet Brownie (which was delicious) Limited seating, both inside and out, but a lovely place through and through

Yelp
I love this place! It is just round the corner from my work and it is the best place to get a beautiful and delicious coffee to cheer up your working day. The beans that they use have an almost chocolate aftertaste and you can tell that extra attention and care has gone into each drink. Apart from yummy coffee, they also have a whole host of other treats including ultra chocolaty hot chocolate (which you can normally only by from shops like Selfridges), Baci (seem expensive for one chocolate but treat yourself) and a full range or sandwiches and pastries. I have been in quite a few times but have never sat in for a coffee, which i must make an effort to very soon. On top of the everything, the staff have always been amazingly helpful and friendly - which is tough for the early mornings that I am normally there. I would definitely recommend Laboratorio Espresso and I would definitely go again.. probably tomorrow!

Yelp
Having visited Laboratorio Espresso on several occasions, I can assure you that this is without a shadow of a doubt the best coffee in the City Centre. This is where I tried my first ever Aeropress and Scott (The Manager I think) was happy to make some recommendations on which one to try. Just the their day I decided to try an espresso and can honestly say, it was delicious. Staff are excellent, friendly and happy to talk to you about their various espresso and filter options. Haven't tried the Cannoli but I have heard good things!! These guys have recently changed there espresso over to Has Bean and I would now give it 6 stars if I could!!

Yelp
Fantastic wee coffee shop in the centre of town. There's a real absence of good, independent coffee shops in the centre & thankfully we now have this place. All coffees are brewed with a double shot of coffee. Prices for coffee range between £2 - 3, representing great value. There's a cute case full of treats to munch on while watching the world pass by. The decor is very sleek, with grey stone walls & wooden borders. The fact that they use dear green coffee makes it all the more awesome. This is a great wee addition to the Glasgow coffee scene

Yelp
I feel so bad not having the chance to check in earlier or taking time out to come to this awesome new coffee emporium in town. For a long time I thought Starbucks had a good coffee till l tried the real Italian stuff. This is a real cosy shop very minimalistic, but that's how the best places have succeeded. I was given a first class service couldn't fault it, the staff where very friendly and took time to explain & recommend anything that l was unsure of. The sandwiches look and taste awesome, where the flavours really do compliment each other. There are a few sweet treats available in the right sizes, nothing worse than the usual massive wedges of gateau or meringue that you normally see. I would like to think that this would be one of my regular haunts from now on.

Yelp
Now, this place is swish. Think authentic Italian espresso bar; smart and sophisticated. Think fresh, delicious sandwiches and baked treats. And of course, coffee. I'll be honest, I can't speak for the coffee. - I'm just not a caffeine kid. That's not to say I don't enjoy a high quality cup of the stuff. But when faced with the option, I'll always pick tea. Herbal, breakfast, bubble. I love it all and I relish a chai latte. Always. So whilst coffee just ain't my thang, the smell of the fresh beans when I arrived was definitely a pleasing one. Despite me being the only person in when I arrived, there was a general busy city feel. The staff were charming and friendly, ensuring I felt welcome and was attended to. It wasn't long before a steady stream of customers were popping in and out and I could indulge in some mid-afternoon people-watching. So whilst Laboratorio Espresso is definitely a coffee lovers' hotspot, I didn't feel at all out of place or unwelcome. There's not a sniff of pretentiousness. - Just passion for good coffee (it sure smelt good!) and food. Boy, oh, boy was the food good! My chicken, mozzarella and rocket toasted sandwich was the kind of sandwich you dream about for days after, the kind you wished would last forever. The chicken was breadcrumbed, packed full of flavour and perfectly tender. Cower in fear, sandwiches everywhere; you've a lot to live up to after that incredibly tasty bread on bread rendition. Perfect chai latte. Perfect sandwich. Perfect service. With a little hustle and bustle thrown in for good measure. People-watching's never been better.

Yelp
Simply the best coffee in the city centre. Period. Go, try their....anything you fancy and I promise you'll love it. I've had the flat white, the cappucino, the americano, and they were all gorgeous. Next on my list is the macchiato. They also do little treats, in an italian-UK fusion style, where cannoli are sitting next to brownies. The chocolate cannoli are to die for....I suspect they are made with Nutella, or a Nutella base, but I don't mind: Nutella is as italian as it gets anyway. The look and feel of the place is also great, very simple but really trendy and cosy at the same time. My personal crush goes to the light blue and red assorted cups. So, if you are a bit of a coffee snob like me, and want a change from the usual Nero, Starbucks and other places where coffee taste goes to die, try Laboratorio Espresso!

Yelp
Laboratorio Espresso Cafe has exquisite coffee--I have been there several times now and have found each cup delightful. I'm principally a latte drinker (sometimes grab a mocha when a bit more sweetness is required). I don't really enjoy filter coffee with the exception of the Viennese coffee, which I like because it is extremely smooth and very even in its taste and even has a little bit of a latte essence. Laboratorio Espresso has these same qualities with their lattes--they are smooth, quite even in taste throughout (no graininess), and are delicate but still have quite a full body in terms of the flavor. I haven't ever had much interaction with the staff but they've always been cordial. It's quite a small place with several bar stools at the window and about a six seater section that has 3 tables. So very small--better for a solo coffee outing or coffee with a friend and not built for groups. But it's also a pleasant space, especially if you can get one of the seats at the tables. I haven't ever had the food so unable to comment on its quality. I think it is worth noting though that the coffee is a bit more expensive here than in other small coffee shops in the city centre. I'd say about 10-20 p more. But I wouldn't let that discourage you...this place is definitely worth a visit for the true coffee lover and avid coffee drinker; I'd also say its a trip to make for the coffee connoisseur.

Yelp
For a long time, I believed that Costa and Starbucks had the best coffee... I'd still make a case for the Starbucks gingerbread latte at Christmas but that's a whole other argument. Then I graduated on to Tinderbox, and that was better. Then, I believed the Where The Monkey Sleeps was the best coffee in Glasgow. Now, I know that I have found coffee nirvana, and it's here. Stopped in today to try it out after seeing a few people checking in on Yelp (see, it does work!) and was pleasantly surprised. To look at, it's not much. It's on the small side, and fairly generically designed. There's a few seats inside, I'd say maybe room for about 10-15 people, with a few more seats outside. Outside seating in January is not my idea of fun, it has to be said! The service was quick. pleasant and just what you would expect at a busy time of the morning. My coffee, though, was the star. Absolutely gorgeous, and prepared to perfection. I think I noticed that they make their own special blend in house, and you can tell. There's no bones about it - I *WILL* be back, and I will have more coffee here. I may even dabble with some of the pastry.

Yelp
Great Italian coffee, excellent choice of (small) cakes and snacks, in a tiny concrete and wood setting. What's not to like? My flat white was perfectly served, with a delicious roast giving a good dark kick. I particularly like the fact the pastries on offer are small (2 or 3 bites) rather than the massive muffins and danish pastries you get elsewhere. Much nicer for a 'wee something' than the usual stodge. My Pistachio Aragostine was wonderfully crisp, with a creamy sweet pistachio filling, and disappeared quickly! It's small inside so I can imagine seats would be at a premium during busier hours, but it's well laid out, good tunes playing in the background and I'll happily be back. Only downside for me was the lack of any kind of atmosphere. That may be harsh as it was early on a Saturday morning, but the stripped back decor makes it 'feel' a little cold and unwelcome, almost austere? Importantly the coffee was great, smooth, dark and I'll be taking a very VERY fussy friend along to try the expresso - if they pass that test I'll be upgrading to a 5-star review!

Yelp
I love this espresso bar - please note I have only just started drinking coffee so an update will be on the cards once I get to sample it! On my previous visits I've indulged in the tea as well as some of the food options. I really like the lunch options (made by Eusebi Deli) - simple, delicious and packed with flavour. They do sell really quickly though, so if you fancy getting a bite to eat you might need to get in early! With simple, modern decor and not much seating, this place is more suited to grabbing a coffee and food and going. Personally, I'm a sit in person but this doesn't stop me going the full 5 stars for this fabulous addition to the city centre.

Yelp
I stopped in for a quick coffee and pastry this past Monday...or Wednesday...bloody hell where has the week gone! Aaaaaanyway, I had been recommended the Lab by Community Overlord Briony C. in a bid to combat the Starbucks addiction I suffer from and thankfully, this was a positive step forward. Located up on West Nile St (behind Forever 21), this coffee house is more fashionable than Alexa Chung wearing a Ramones T-shirt. Its bare minimalist design with slate walls and plain woodblock furniture make it a great place for those of the MacBook/horn-rimmed glasses persuasion. The blog espouses a dedication and fandom of the Milanese style but let's face it, it was a Monday (or Wednesday), pissing down, Glasgow morning; so I was feeling about as Italian as a haggis supper. That being said, it looked very nice and I'll definitely be trying out a wee meal or breakfast in the near future. As for the coffee, which surely is the main event, I can only say bravo! They made a truly superb wee cappuccino. I asked for a regular, which was a bit on the small side but I then realised that that was only because they didn't half fill the cup with foam like other places do. I forgot to ask what blend they were using so I'll check in again and report back. The pan-au-raisin was alright. I should have went for a slice of cake, which looked much nicer. Four stars.

Yelp
I love this place! It is stylish and modern, yet extremely cozy. The service is great, the coffee of high quality and the WiFi faster than my own! Your coffee comes in a blue cup, and always with water and a little biscuit on the side. Perfection. This is paradise for coffee lovers with a demand for quality. Only downside is that the seats are limited, so you have to be a bit lucky to get one ;-)

Yelp
I am always interested to try new independent coffee shops and I had read good things on yelp and I was looking forward to giving this place a go today. First impressions were good as the staff were really friendly and I liked the industrial look of the place. They specialise in espresso based drinks and had the full range to offer. Recently I have moved to drinking black filter coffee instead and that is my preference to milky espresso based drinks. Surprisingly for me they had no hot filter options at all. This seemed pretty unusual in my opinion, but they did offer me a cold filter coffee that had been brewing overnight. Cold drip filter coffee is the "in" coffee trend at the moment, so I decided to have one for a change. It was actually quite nice, but it did need the vanilla milk in it as well to sweeten it up as otherwise it could have just seemed like over stewed cold coffee. I went with the intention of having some food as well, but it turns out they don't do it on Sundays as the deli they buy them from does not open on a sunday. This was a bit disappointing to be honest. Instead I went for a small hard pasty with lemon in it which was fine, bit not amazing. Nice place, doing decent coffee, but not particularly ground breaking in terms of current "coffee shop culture".

Yelp
I come here as often as possible to study and consider it my go to place in Glasgow. The service is great the coffee is delicious, as are their pastries and sandwiches and the atmosphere is perfect, not to moody and not to quite. The only thing is that it is super small. It probably fits 10 people inside Max. This has come to be disappointing some times when I walk Past and then have to settle for somewhere else because there is no room. When it is nice outside there are benches in front where you can sit. Even though I often don't get a seat, I would never want it to expand. If it gets to but I think it will lose its charm coziness. It is my favourite coffee shop and I wouldn't change a thing about it.
google avatar

Yelp
Can not believe I've not wrote a review yet! Hands down best coffee place in town! It's around the corner on my work and on my way to college, so sometimes I pop in daily - so much so that the staff now know my regular order :D I've even missed the bus on a few occasions just to be able to have time to go in there for a takeaway latte ;) The place is tiny, but there is seating outside and all drinks can be taken away. They also sell beans, recently started doing cold brew & iced coffees and there's a small selection of cakes and sandwiches. The staff is always friendly and I've tried to spread the word about this place as much as I could. The only drawback I can think of is maybe the price of the cakes, I've only tried a few due to the price point.

Yelp
Strong and Small, Divided Opinion. Visited one sunny day to get our daily double shot and at least one of us wasn't too disappointed with our fix. There's no doubt that it's small and this seems to have rubbed off on to the food as well as the 1 size coffee. My normal size macchiato was sublime, with subtle overtones of bitter raspberry chocolate and the 8oz Americano was a double with a dash of acqua. Strong, small and possibly not to everyone's taste, inc. J's, especially if you're into Costa type coffees. The food selection includes mini pastries and Cannolis at £1.50 each and unnecessarily small paninis at £4.50 to £4.75 ish. I think the panini prices are a tad above reasonable, but reserve any more judgment until tasted. However, I'd probably be inclined to delve into the creamy cannolis first. I loved the decor, charcoal tile, wood and faux polished concrete walls giving a modern, clean architectural feel, but warming too. Although J's first comment was that the seats weren't comfy and the space between the seat and static table was too wide. Ok, so coffee great for me, but not for her, I dug the concrete effect walls, but she picked holes in the layout. However, we both agreed that the staff were top notch, I think?

Yelp
Never knew this place existed. Was looking for somewhere in town for a good coffee and my partner suggested he'd seen this place. It's a teeny tiny place but they have picnic tables outside which was perfect as it was warm on Saturday. I went inside and ordered a latte and 2 canollis. The prices were very good! The only downside was the woman who served me. She was very curt with me. I asked about the flavour of their blanco cannoli and she said blanco means white. I got it anyway and it tasted good. Despite this the coffee was very good and I liked their choice of wee treats. Would come back for more!

Yelp
Finally got to try the coffee here! And it was pretty damn good :) We were wandering home from the city centre and ended up walking past by mistake and I was happy to pop in and grab a flat white. It was good and strong and will definitely head back soon for another one and maybe try out their food. The place was moderately busy and my flat white was made quickly and delivered with a smile. You can also buy fresh ground coffee to take away here too.

Yelp
God, this brownie is delicious. Perfectly complemented by a citrusy espresso, and a glass of water so my mouth can recover from thks full on hit of flavour. That barista in there keeps the line moving so fast, though he is as chill as the glaswegian autumn breeze (in a good way). Although I don't have milk in my coffee, I can see by everyone's made in line before me that the barista knows what he's doing for all you latte and cappuccino lovers. Finally, this is one of the few places getting some sun in the city centre today. Score!
google avatar

Erika D.

Yelp
Great cafè for coffee lovers, coffee aroma hits you as soon as you get in! Nice presentation of the coffee served with an amaretto on the side. Nice wee selection of cakes and pastries, will defo try one next time i pop in!

Yelp
Another addition to the burgeoning city centre coffee scene, this one proffering traditional Italian styled experience. They seem to be achieving their aim: coffee is high quality, a house espresso blend roasted by the local Dear Green Coffee, and so far the food appears to be of a fine standard as well. Being tucked a little more out of the way than Riverhill I'm hoping that within a couple of months I'll still be able to get a seat in here at lunchtime, not least because it's a lovely looking venue: polished concrete and distressed woods. I look forward to seeing how things develop here but they've mad an excellent start, a long time in the making. A quick update: Having now tried a take away coffee as well I should add that these guys deserve special mention for providing take away cups that are both biodegradable and sealed sufficiently to prevent scalding coffee pouring onto your hand as you walk down the street. The latter in particular is something other coffee places seem to struggle with and has contributed to me rarely ordering take out coffee any more.
google avatar

Yelp
This is the absolutely best coffee in Glasgow. The coffee itself is so well made, attention to detail is everything in here. I always marvel at how it also charged what the items genuinely cost, nothing is over inflated. Then there's the cakes and pastries, which are superb. Obviously they buy them in, but the small but perfectly chosen range is top notch. It's quite a small shop, but this just adds to the atmosphere. I really can't fault this place!!

Yelp
I was a bit disappointed with Laboratorio Espresso to be honest and it really wasn't just unrealistic expectations. When they were researching this place the owners popped by my coffee shop on a research trip. It was an absolute joy to meet them and exchange ideas, so as you might imagine I was kinda excited. Now, three or maybe four years later, here I am rather surprisingly in the place itself. First off it's much smaller than it seems from images I'd seen, but it's very well laid out. A lot of thought has gone into making the most of the space. Everything is attractively presented and they've made good use of whatever budget they had. There wasn't much in the way of food left when I popped in, but it was late afternoon so no surprise there; I just ordered a flat white. Cakes appeared very small. Presentation tho was good and the drink itself fine. Just didn't blow my socks off at all. The overall taste profile was towards the stewed fruits/acidic end so not my preference. I think they've shifted to using HasBean as their roaster, who are based in Stafford. Not exactly local, but maybe they see an added value trading on the HasBean brand. I've never been a fan of any of their blends and same with this one. It's not bad, but it's quite overt and tastes actually unbalanced to me - too much acidity. I tended to enjoy the Dear Green roasts I tried in the city, so I'd personally say the HasBean move is a backwards step. You may feel differently and that's perfectly OK. Service was fine, but again not the exceptional vibe I'd expected. Worth a visit, and don't get me wrong the 4**** review means I was quite happy, but I preferred Riverhill and Spitfire around the city central area.

Yelp
Iv been to Lab Espresso a few times now and I really like it. I love the small, intimate space. I love the free water, coffee is good but...............the lemon cannoli - oh my good god!!!!! I could literally die happy having one every day. I figure as they are little this is feasible?? What do you mean NO?! Yeah so anyway, where was I. This is deff a firm favourite in the city centre, staff are always lovely and they on a side note they play great music too!!

Yelp
So so glad to have another GOOD coffee shop in town. I popped in here after hearing good things, liking the name (I'm a sucker for all things 'lab'/science related) and also because my cat-like curiosity got the better of me...it was a horrid, heavy rainy day when I decided to venture in and it took me a wee while to find this place and I must admit I was surprised when I seen how small it was. Only a few tables/chairs for sitting in and on this day they were all taken. Dang. So I had to order my coffee to go. If I had got a table then I would have ordered some food, instead I tried one of the cake samples at the counter whilst I waited on my coffee. This particular chocolate cake was very nice indeed. Really friendly staff in this cosy wee city coffee bar with a great window bench/table, ideal for people watching serving really nice quality coffee (by Glasgow's own Dear Green Coffee peeps). I had a flat white and it was really good even though I had to sup it in on the move in the pouring rain. When I am in town I will definitely return here again for a caffeine fix of the quality kind. Also hopefully next time there will be a free table so I can sit in and enjoy their food too.

Yelp
Dinky, cute and absolutely love it! Had seen the yelp reviews and after being in the Glasgow over Easter weekend, I spotted it enroute to checking out bikes and kit. Its all brick and wood. Ultra industrial, clean but welcoming and lovely outside in the sunshine. Very Italian, Milanese style with San Pellegrino waters and juices on offer and cute Italian pastries and sweet offerings for munching on. There was a GF chocolate cake but I passed this time as I would have preferred something less rich on a sunny day. The coffee was gorgeous - so good we stayed for two. The two guys (who I think own it) were so lovely, swapping recommendations and chatting about coffee. So, when I'm back West, I'll definitely be popping in here. Go, if you get the chance!
google avatar

Emilia T.

Yelp
Quite simply: the best coffee I have had in Glasgow. The place is small but friendly with an interesting choice of cakes to go with your coffee. They also have a small sandwich selection. The choice for coffee however is great. If you are a true coffee lover, you will appreciate the coffee menu for sure.

Yelp
Top class coffee, great service, excellent cakes. I had a shortbread with a chocolate filling and a flat white. It's making me want to go back just thinking about it. I'm going to need a weekly fix! It's just off Buchanan street so it's handy too. Go if you are serious about good coffee. Enough said!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this coffee joint. Rocking up late Sunday morning looking for good coffee and a small bit of brunch. Brunch did not happen due to their supplier not being open. Cakes will have to do!! Small menu of coffees on the table is a great idea if you are looking for something different. I asked what filter coffee was available I was recommended the the cold filter brew. Brewed over night and served with vanilla milk topped with a single ice cub. I liked it!! The place lacked personality however the staff were extremely friendly and ready to give advice.

Yelp
I feel like I've missed something here because I haven't come away with the love for it that others have. It's not the most visible, it would be quite easy to walk past, it's just off Sauchiehall Street not far from the Buchannan Galleries so it's in a good location. It's exceptionally small inside with only a couple of tables and there are a couple of benches outside if you want to brave the weather. It's nicely decorated but at the same time it's got a bit of a cold feel to it. I think it might be all the wood and dark glass. I was really looking forward to trying here having heard good things so the day I popped in there were only 2 people sitting in and the two staff behind the counter having a wee chat, I don't mind that but then I had to awkwardly stand there before my order was taken and I just felt like a bit of an inconvenience. It didn't feel any less awkward when I was given my drink either. Anyway the coffee was good certainly better than what you get in the chains but was it nice enough to make me to go out of my way to go get it, probably not. I did like their takeaway cups. I don't know if my opinion on the coffee is maybe influenced by my service experience so I'm prepared to give The Lab another go. Watch out for an update

Yelp
Small but perfectly formed, this is a lovely place to stop for coffee. There are only a couple of tables inside and a row of window seats but I've never been in when it's been full (although looking at some of the other reviews, maybe I've just been lucky). The coffee is beautifully smooth - the flat white is really nice - and they do a small selection of things to eat. I tried some Italian tart thing made of custard and topped with hazelnuts and almonds and it was very scrummy. The guys working here are always nice, although they do have a tendency to play trendy 90's art school style pop. But then, if you're not me, you might like that ;-)

Yelp
One of my favourite places to go to! It's quaint and the staff are friendly. Coffee is inconsistent sometimes though. Anyway, lovely place and lovely desserts too!

Yelp
Why this place doesn't have a full 5 star rating is beyond me. Coffee was top notch, equalling houses of London and further afield. Tea was also ace - I am in formed. Service great and seating (although limited) was comfy.

Yelp
Great coffee, love the seats outside on a sunny day. Service was lovely and next time I go I'd really like one of the Italian treats!

Yelp
Amazing coffee. I've been looking all over for a good coffee place and I absolutely think it's the best one in Glasgow. Really friendly baristas and they have outdoor seating which is a big plus for me!

Yelp
Very good coffee in an italian themed place. Tasty desserts but kind of small comparing to other places. Nevertheless, very good option for a coffee in the center

Yelp
I really like this coffee place! The staff is really friendly and helpful, the decoration is edgy and the coffee tasty! I would not pretend to be a coffee expert though. :) It's not too pricey and the food is also nice. Definitely a place to try !

Yelp
Amazing!!! The coffee here surprised me very much! Don't think I've had a coffee as good as this in the city centre! Love the Italian theme and all the little Italian inspired sandwiches and treats they have on offer, reminds me of just popping into a little cafe in Florence!

Yelp
late to the show again, but who's counting? this is a lovely, stylish melbournian style coffee shop, well ok Italian if you wish, but not really. the coffee is near perfect, well presented, right temperature and the right flavour. they have an array of cakes and savouries, which I didn't try, but look very tempting. my colleague said, somewhat sarcastically, "just what Glasgow needs, another coffee shop", to which i rebutted "f*ck yes, another great coffee shop to counter all the sh*te ones". more power to them.
