LACALITA Canggu

So, me and my wife like to drink and the first thing we saw on the menu were the margarita flight and obviously we had to get one each. Each margarita was excellent, but the adventure didn’t stop there. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We also got a welcome shot. We had both starters and tacos. The staff warned us that perhaps we ordered a little too much food, and offered to half some of the portions so we could try all the ones we wanted without wasting food. Great service! Moving on to the tacos: great just great. My favourite was the cheeseburger taco! Also got some quesadillas with cheese and caramelized onions and those are highly recommended too. All in all - amazing place. Highly recommended!

We had dined at LACALITA in Seminyak 8 years ago, so when we saw it was also in Canggu we knew it would be good. We visited on a Tuesday night for dinner with no reservation. We were quickly and easily accommodated and Tuesdays are synonymous with “Taco Tuesdays” and the specials didn’t disappoint. I got one of each of the taco specials and I couldn’t pick a favourite as they were all amazing. The margaritas were also on point. Service was exception and we could complain about the value for money.

Lacalita is one of the top Mexican restaurants in Canggu. From Tacos, BBQ Prawns to a wide range of signature & timeless cocktails, Lacalita has a great mix of food and beverage menu and Miss Jovi who suggested & served us was really sweet and kind throughout. Their service is quick too! So if you are looking to have Tacos and some cocktails in a great ambiance, Lacalita is the place!

LaCalita is a great Mexican restaurant located on Batu Bolong in Canggu. What I really liked about this place were the generous portion sizes – the food was filling and satisfying. I had burrito and it was truly delicious. There was a lot going on in the dish – definitely not boring! I also noticed they have some nice taco deals, which I’m planning to try next time. Another thing I appreciated was their cocktail selection – they offer a variety of options, which adds to the vibe. I also ordered a cocktail and specifically asked for it to be made without sugar and no honey – that’s really important to me – and they got it just right. On top of that, they made a juicy, flavorful tea based on my preferences. I really appreciate when a place pays attention to the customer’s requests. The service was thoughtful and attentive, so I’m giving them a solid five stars for that. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Had an incredible night at lacalita Canggu! The cocktails were absolutely top-notch—I had six different ones, and each was perfectly crafted, balanced, and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great spot to enjoy a night out. For food, I had the calamari and nachos, which were both super tasty and fresh. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Visited in April 2025 It was a weekday. Went here for a dinner. It was pretty quite I would say, it was probably around 30% occupancy from the available tables they have. while it is quite pricey for locals, I like the tacos! they have free cocktail shot and some chips. i dont really like the long the cooked pork one, for some reason it has some smell I dont really like. but i like the chicken. the staff is very friendly! the place is not noisy, good to still have some good convo with friends. parking lot is not properly built, for motorbikes they have unfinished area next to the restaurant, for cars, no available spot.

This place was amazing. Not only was the food so tasty! But the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a celiac guest with us, and they catered very well for them. They had separate fryers to ensure no cross contamination. We will be back.

This Mexican restaurant was conveniently located near my hotel, which is why I visited a couple of times, especially on days when I was tired. The food was excellent—particularly the braised beef cheek, which I found even better than the one I tried in Tulum. It was truly delicious. On one occasion, I tried a local drink called Pandan; while I’m not a huge fan of it personally, it was interesting to try. The ambiance was amazing, with an open design that feels both relaxing and cozy. I also really appreciated the green stone details used in the décor, which added a unique touch to the atmosphere
