LACALITA Canggu

So, me and my wife like to drink and the first thing we saw on the menu were the margarita flight and obviously we had to get one each. Each margarita was excellent, but the adventure didn’t stop there. The staff was very attentive and friendly. We also got a welcome shot. We had both starters and tacos. The staff warned us that perhaps we ordered a little too much food, and offered to half some of the portions so we could try all the ones we wanted without wasting food. Great service! Moving on to the tacos: great just great. My favourite was the cheeseburger taco! Also got some quesadillas with cheese and caramelized onions and those are highly recommended too. All in all - amazing place. Highly recommended!

I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The sweet potato chips were raw, dry, and lacked any crunch, making them nearly inedible. The tacos had strange textures and were completely flavourless - we ate the meat and left the rest. To top it off, the corn chips served with the guacamole were not edible at all. The guacamole was by far the worst I’ve ever had. Overall, the meal was a complete letdown and did not resemble authentic Mexican cuisine at all.

We had dined at LACALITA in Seminyak 8 years ago, so when we saw it was also in Canggu we knew it would be good. We visited on a Tuesday night for dinner with no reservation. We were quickly and easily accommodated and Tuesdays are synonymous with “Taco Tuesdays” and the specials didn’t disappoint. I got one of each of the taco specials and I couldn’t pick a favourite as they were all amazing. The margaritas were also on point. Service was exception and we could complain about the value for money.

Lacalita is one of the top Mexican restaurants in Canggu. From Tacos, BBQ Prawns to a wide range of signature & timeless cocktails, Lacalita has a great mix of food and beverage menu and Miss Jovi who suggested & served us was really sweet and kind throughout. Their service is quick too! So if you are looking to have Tacos and some cocktails in a great ambiance, Lacalita is the place!

Lacalita is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a perfect mix of laid-back Bali vibes and lively energy. The food is incredible!!! Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented 😍 I was super impressed! Their tacos and margaritas are a must-try, and their staff is always friendly and attentive. The braised beef cheek is absolutely out of this world!!!! Can’t wait to come back!

This Mexican restaurant was conveniently located near my hotel, which is why I visited a couple of times, especially on days when I was tired. The food was excellent—particularly the braised beef cheek, which I found even better than the one I tried in Tulum. It was truly delicious. On one occasion, I tried a local drink called Pandan; while I’m not a huge fan of it personally, it was interesting to try. The ambiance was amazing, with an open design that feels both relaxing and cozy. I also really appreciated the green stone details used in the décor, which added a unique touch to the atmosphere
