LACALITA Canggu

LaCalita is a great Mexican restaurant located on Batu Bolong in Canggu. What I really liked about this place were the generous portion sizes – the food was filling and satisfying. I had burrito and it was truly delicious. There was a lot going on in the dish – definitely not boring! I also noticed they have some nice taco deals, which I’m planning to try next time. Another thing I appreciated was their cocktail selection – they offer a variety of options, which adds to the vibe. I also ordered a cocktail and specifically asked for it to be made without sugar and no honey – that’s really important to me – and they got it just right. On top of that, they made a juicy, flavorful tea based on my preferences. I really appreciate when a place pays attention to the customer’s requests. The service was thoughtful and attentive, so I’m giving them a solid five stars for that. Overall, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Had an incredible night at lacalita Canggu! The cocktails were absolutely top-notch—I had six different ones, and each was perfectly crafted, balanced, and delicious. The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it a great spot to enjoy a night out. For food, I had the calamari and nachos, which were both super tasty and fresh. The portions were generous, and the flavors were spot on. The staff was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall great experience. Lacalita is one of the top Mexican restaurants in Canggu. From Tacos, BBQ Prawns to a wide range of signature & timeless cocktails, Lacalita has a great mix of food and beverage menu and Miss Jovi who suggested & served us was really sweet and kind throughout. Their service is quick too! So if you are looking to have Tacos and some cocktails in a great ambiance, Lacalita is the place!

Lacalita is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, with a perfect mix of laid-back Bali vibes and lively energy. The food is incredible!!! Fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented 😍 I was super impressed! Their tacos and margaritas are a must-try, and their staff is always friendly and attentive. The braised beef cheek is absolutely out of this world!!!! Can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic food and service! Our meal was gorgeous, we had the ceviche to start, then the chicken, beef quesedilla and sweet potato chips. Everything was so fresh and served piping hot. The staff were wonderful and attentive but not too much and the atmosphere was very warm and friendly. Would definitely go again on our next trip to Canggu!😍

AS A MEXICAN I AM DISSATISFIED. The food deserves 2 stars but they have a 5 star service and great drinks. The food is just not Mexican… it’s normal food, but it’s not Mexican. It is pricey for what it is. I can’t believed I paid the same as I paid in GOOSEBERRY one of my favorite fancy restaurant in ULUWATU. If you have tried real Mexican food and want to relieve that flavor it just WONT HAPPEN. Sure, go in for a drink or a dessert, just don’t eat there main course.

Visited in April 2025 It was a weekday. Went here for a dinner. It was pretty quite I would say, it was probably around 30% occupancy from the available tables they have. while it is quite pricey for locals, I like the tacos! they have free cocktail shot and some chips. i dont really like the long the cooked pork one, for some reason it has some smell I dont really like. but i like the chicken. the staff is very friendly! the place is not noisy, good to still have some good convo with friends. parking lot is not properly built, for motorbikes they have unfinished area next to the restaurant, for cars, no available spot.

This place was amazing. Not only was the food so tasty! But the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a celiac guest with us, and they catered very well for them. They had separate fryers to ensure no cross contamination. We will be back.
