L'Acanto

Great little hotel and excellent location. Large light and airy room. Our evening flight was late and Giovanna came out to check us in with no complaint. Secure and well lit. Rooms very clean. Lovely terrace for breakfast. Would recommend to stay

We stayed here for a few nights in late April and had a great time! The room was lovely, clean and lots of space but the best thing was the breakfast. Giuliana was lovely and was there to greet us on arrival, and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. The B&B is in a beautiful courtyard in the centre of Ortigia, great location and close to everything you could want. The bar downstairs is also amazing for a drink in the evening! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Amazing B&B with perfect location, nice rooms, comfortable bed, the host Giuliana was so friendly and provided great service. The breakfast on the terrace is a big plus as well! Really recommend!

This place was absolutely perfect. Right in the heart of Ortigia, clean and cozy rooms, and yummy included breakfast. Giuliana was more than accommodating! We will definitely be back here again. :)

I found this B&B above a quiet courtyard in the very middle of Ortigia by accident, but it turned out to be fantastic. First, the owner, Giuliana, goes out of her way to be helpful and accommodating with emails and texts. I loved my tastefully decorated (vintage!) room, which was meticulously cleaned every day. Since the B&B is in the very middle of historic Siracusa, I was able to pop in for a quick coffee, toilet or rest after visiting the Duomo, market, Giudecca or just watching the sun go down by the fountain of Arethusa. Giuliana's breakfast is huge, and can be eaten on a big terrace under the blue Sicilian sky. Free water or a quick cuppa available at any time. I walked everywhere in Siracusa. The bus and train stations are about 25 min; the Neapolis Greek & Roman ruins about 35. There's even a little restaurant downstairs in the courtyard if you're hungry and don't want to go far. I heartily recommend this very reasonable, clean, quiet and welcoming B&B.

This B&B is in a perfect location in the center of Ortiegia. The room s are clean, spacious, with all amenities for a comfortable stay.|Giuliano, the hostess assisted us in finding free parking space, and provided a excellent breakfast, and assisted us with any questions.

Me and my wife spent five days of our honeymoon here. We loved it! The host made us feel like home and serves us the best breakfast with tasty Italian treats. For my birthday we got surprised with balloons and candles for the cake. We are so happy and could not have asked for anything more than this. The location is absolutely great!

I stayed at L'Acanto for 4 days and it was a great experience. It was my first time in Sicily and I can say that I came back to Brazil with the best impression possible. First of all, L'Acanto is very central. Not only in Ortigia, the best district in Siracusa, but also on the main pedestrian street of of the borough. The place is very charming, with a nice terrace, and spacious and well-decorated rooms.||But the two most valuable things at L'Acanto is the great breakfast and its nice people. Breakfast is served with natural and organic food from Sicily itself. I will never forget the bread with the real "Italian ricotta" and homemade marmalade. But there is also cappuccino, natural juice, fruits, yoghurts, and many other things. And this is all very much affordable, especially considering that I went there in July. ||Moreover, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to chat with Giuliana, B&B' owner, and Maria Giovanna, who works with Giuliana, every morning during breakfast. They are very nice and funny people who love sharing experiences and talk about everything. Apart from that, I must say that I was unlucky and got very sick during my stay, and both were really kind and helpful during this period - they even took me to hospital and a doctor the day after. So, I have no words to thank them for their kindness.
