Nestled in old town, this Romanian gem offers a charming basement vibe, friendly staff, and a menu that balances traditional comfort food with culinary flair.

Not worth it at all. The food was average at best and ridiculously overpriced. The worst part, however, was the service. The lady serving us was incredibly rude, condescending, and dismissive—eye-rolling at every request and making sarcastic comments. She even tried to take our plates before we were done, and when we asked her to leave them, she scoffed and said, “Really? There’s nothing left—are you eating the bones?” Completely unacceptable behavior. When we tried to bring this up with the manager, we were completely dismissed. While the interior is cute and cozy, the overall experience was terrible. Definitely would not recommend.

The food was quite decent, but the prices were unreasonably high considering the type of dishes and portion sizes for a Romanian restaurant. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you have money to spare and don’t mind spending it unnecessarily.
Although there is occasional live music, the singers’ expectation of gratuities takes away from the atmosphere.

Nice restaurant to dine with friends and enjoy the local food. The service was very good, and the food was good. We ate a few dishes, and the main dish of the lamb was a bit harder than expected.

Small portions and extremely expensive: $35 for
1. a very good small starter with cottage cheese with vine leaves
2. a decent draft beer
3. poorly cooked tasteless lamb chops (meat 100g) ) that was raw on the inside
Bathroom also was worthy of a street pub. To be avoided

Excellent Romanian cuisine, had the Moldovan Meatballs and Sausages with Cabbage and both were amazing. Good service with English speaking helpful staff. Basement area is a beautiful brick lined space. Outside seating also available when the weather is good.

I have very mixed feelings about my meal at this restaurant. Overall the food was quite good but there were some annoying things which made the experience less enjoyable.
I was there with my partner and it so happened that both of us had two courses. Both of mine were lukewarm while his were boiling hot.
I had the steak, which I asked for to be done medium. As you can see from the pictures, it was much more than that. It was good nonetheless.
The way everything is presented in the menu seems more exciting and better spiced than what's served on the plate. For example the "spiced butter with various greens etc" was just a slab of butter with some parsley.
The sausages and cabbage were also supposed to be very well spiced. Absolutely nothing special about them. Nothing wrong either, just average.
Which sums pretty much the whole experience. Average... and not reflected in the absurd prices...

The food was good, but relatively pricy compared to others restaurants. Atmosphere was good with some traditional live music. A few mistakes were made (wrong meal, drinks forgotten) but that was okay and can happen. However, what was very disappointing is that a tip of 50 lei was added to our bill without asking us, which we only discovered back in the hotel… advise: check your receipt before paying.
