Best hearty soups in financial district; great vegetarian choices. Veronica , the server at this place loves her job; with an authentically friendly smile recommends the best soup and sandwich combo : a hearty and flavorful pea soup with hummus sandwich; hearty soup had flavor and spicy kick to it and the portions were generous. It is unbelievably textured and sophisticated.

if you are plant based or vegan I would not suggest eating here they don't understand what those words mean and will feed you animal products

I love their chicken Cesar salad. The store on Montgomery Street has the best service. They work hard at getting you in and out quickly. The staff is friendly and you are always greeted with a smile. The upstairs dining area is a plus if you want to sit and enjoy your meal. I highly recommend if you are looking for a quick salads or soups

This particular location is nice and efficient but if you want to eat your soup on the restaurant, you are required to go up a long flight of stairs to a dining room with dingy carpet and not a ton of seating. It's not awful up there, just feels inconsistent with the open, clean area downstairs.

I was hesitant to come here because of the so-so reviews but was pleasantly surprised by the service and food. I went in the morning so there wasn't very many people. I got their kimchi egg for breakfast and Thai chicken for lunch in one order. The egg kept me full all morning. The lunch salad was huge and I barely made a dent in it when lunch time came around. Staff was very fast and efficient.

Definitely try their mexican tortilla soup and the turkey chili. Skip the tomato, potato, and chicken noodle. I like that they always have signature soups but rotate a few different ones daily. You can go online to see what's being offered. This location is tiny with no seating so prepare to take it to go.

I was very wary about going to this place because I had figured out that SF Soup Company was remaking itself, but a friend suggested I try it out. Boy was it horrible. The "side" salad was as big as a normal sized salad, but inedible--a Chicken Caesar with a bunch of large greens with chicken thrown in the middle. The chicken soup was good (although they asked me if I wanted noodles ???) and I would have been satisfied with that alone. They didn't have any cans of soda and I don't want to buy a large size of Diet coke. So even though I'm diabetic, I went with the sugared teas so I could have a little. Then they have this tiny metal tray to put it all on. Even throwing stuff away was aggravating as I wanted to get out of there but a gal with a large azz was blocking the trash area. Wholly unsatisfactory. Total price =$14.00. Total enjoyment = 0. Do yourself a favor and skip this place AND SF soup company. Even Specialty's has a leg up on this joint.

If you're in the market for wholesome soup, then this is the place for you. Staff is very knowledgeable about the menu and can advise you exactly what the soup is made of. I tried the smoky pea soup and was not disappointed. Walked away with a "happy belly" and a wallet which was not much lighter than when I entered.
