Lafayette Hotel

In this case, we did not choose the hotel but it was assigned to us by a travel agency as part of a package. The location is good if you want to be at Microcentro, at walking distance from Galerias Pacifico. |But, the hotel has 4 stars at its entrance but nowhere else. The rooms are spacious but a bit outdated, the shower is very bad, very few and mediocre toiletries, the personnel is average, not nice but not rude. |Breakfast is another issue: it was so bad that although it was included we ended up having breakfast at the bar at the corner. |All in all, I would not recommend it but it was not a horrible experience.

Nice hotel in a good location. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. The lobby is nice and cozy.||Friendly front desk staff are helpful and will get you a taxi or help book a tango show for you.||The room was surprisingly spacious which I appreciated. The beds are comfortable.||Would recommend.

Located in Microcentro, the hotels offers possibilies to explore the city by foot as well as by public ttransport.|It is close to metro, which takes you easily anywhere you want to go. The nearby pedestrian zones offer a variety of shops for every need. Just opposite the hotel, there is a little supermarket, there are plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby.|Our room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfast was very good and the staff were amiable and obliging.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was attentive, the breakfasts were delicious, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. My only complaint is about the towels, which were quite old and worn. It would be worth replacing them with new ones.

Its an older style property but that gives it some character. Reception were efficient and I was in my room quickly. The room was smart and quiet. Wifi was good - enough to call home on. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. The bathroom probably needs updating soon. Was at the back so had a dull view of air conditioning units. but this probably made it quieter at night.||||Breakfast was fine - pretty standard for South America - though they rather over promise with a "Full American buffet" - with Eggs being the only hot item! ||||The location is excellent - I needed to get to and from the Terminal Madiro quickly and it was ideal for this, but also just blocks from major attractions and business centres. Downside are the number of homeless people riffling through bins on the street outside. Sad to see them there - but a problem for the whole city I expect.||||For the price paid, this was excellent value!

Rooms were musty (it's near the bay), so if you have allergies to mold, you might want to steer clear. But it is within walking distance of the Busquebus station if you plan to travel outside the city or to Uruguay.

Big rooms and friendly staff. Only carpets in rooms weren't necessary and breakfast was just average. Best price for 4-stars hotel and very well located next to walking street and close to harbour. Good for shopping and nightlife.

Pretty solid spot. Cafe next door offers free breakfast etc ... it is clean and staff friendly. Great value ... great location. Walking distance to Florida street etc. Internet is a little hit or miss, could he improved. But perhaps this issue will be resolved soon.

Nice hotel. Breakfast was a little sparse. Price was nice for the area. Easy walk to key locations.
