Lagació Hotel Mountain Residence (San Cassiano, Alps / Dolomites) 4 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"We’re pretty unabashed in our admiration for Europe’s modernist ski lodges. But even by that standard, Lagació Mountain Residence stands out. Too often the temptation, once you’ve decided to update the classic Alpine-lodge look, is to take it too far — when ski hotels become little more than high-elevation nightclubs, you’re in danger of forgetting that warmth, both literal and figurative, is the whole point of a mountain hotel." - Tablet Hotels

Great stay at this beautiful hotel! Meticulous attention to detail by staff and owners from room design and every thoughtful little object that you might need during your stay to most tasty breakfast sources from local farms and businesses to assistance with your daily activities planning. Very nice extras that make your stay even more pleasant: a yoga room, daily cake and refreshing cocktail, comfy shuttle. And of course, an amazing nature to spend time in, beautiful village, nice restaurants around. A whole package!

Absolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect, the rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, and most importantly, every single employee is warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Breakfast quickly became the highlight of our day — fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. We even met Rick Steves at breakfast one morning, which made the experience even more special. We were celebrating our 10-year anniversary, and this turned out to be the best stay of our trip. From the cozy room and excellent service to the private chef-prepared local dishes, daily complimentary desserts, and assigned parking spaces, every detail was perfect. A truly memorable experience — we can’t wait to return!

First time back since our honeymoon ten years ago. We wanted this to be a 10-year anniversary celebration treat. It was such a let down. ||We stayed for 4 nights in total with a the stay being a trio of two halves. The first two days the staff and service was generally very good with the usual attention to detail. On our third night we had the arrival of guests above us. We could hear EVERYTHING they were saying and their stamping about kept us awake until gone 2am. I asked to change rooms for our final night but was told that there were no rooms available…the caveat being that there were on the first floor but that these were ‘clean’ rooms and so we couldn’t use them?! Our last night was spent waiting for those above us to go to bed before we could; around midnight in the end. ||The service I received from the receptionist was abysmal in regard to the issue I raised about the rooms. We paid a heck of a lot of money for this stay and it was ruined by her responses and the lack of empathy. Rooms WERE available and could have been used. ||The breakfast throughout was disordered and chaotic; the lady hosting got multiple orders wrong and was extremely abrupt. We stayed out of peak season and the service requirements were by no means overwhelming in the slightest. ||Finally the ‘private dining experience’ offered from their chef was over-priced and extremely bland. ||On a positive note (!) Andrea is a great asset to the hotel. A very positive and likeable guy. ||I can never see us wanting to come back here again and we feel really disappointed with how relatively poor the hotel is for the premium you are expected to pay.

We spent 4 nights at Lagacio and everything was perfect. The staff were all lovely and helpful and we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for. The rooms were spacious and well thought out - larger than many a condo in Toronto! Breakfast was to die for. Beautiful buffet, or eggs from a menu and always a special of the day. Crepes one day, a soft boiled egg with spec another. Lovely lounge for a cocktail or glass of wine. Great massages in the spa. Shuttled to gondola daily and simply text for pickup. Restaurant recommendations and reservations made. Right in centre of town so walking distance to the shops and restaurants. Highly, highly recommended!

We spent a week in their larger apartment with a family of five. It was great! Fireplace, mountain views from the balcony, modern bathrooms and kitchen, even a private sauna. The breakfast was outstanding, as was the service overall, including concierge ski service. Worth the money!

Fantastic staff. Suites are very comfortable and well laid out. Spa very good. If you arrive by car press buzzer for garage... your space is level 1.

What a wonderful hotel. I loved our room. The design is brilliant and very efficient but at the same time incredibly comfortable. The closets were also designed to accommodate guests who are traveling with gear, whether it is climbing, hiking, skiing, etc. The staff was great and loved the bar area, very warm and inviting. We did not have dinner here but the breakfast was a feast. I would strongly recommend staying here.

A beautiful gem in San Cassiano, which I would suggest is the best central spot to really see and explore the Italian Dolomites. Room far exceeded my expectations, with a very well stocked kitchen, great bed and shower, and a large, private deck to relax and view the mountains. Extensive and excellent breakfast, and we had a very nice couples massage in the spa. The desk personnel and Erika our breakfast host recommended the best hikes around, and offered us a number of bus and lift deals. We really appreciated and used the 3 out of 4 day ticket to the lifts in the area and used them to get to some truly amazing hikes and views.||One of the best lodging experiences I've had in Europe! Short drive over a striking pass to Cortina d Ampezzo, short drive to Covara and over the pass to Val Gardena. Whatever direction you go from San Cassiano provides unbelievable mountain and valley views!!
