Western Australia for the Food Is the Next Great Food Lover's Destination

"Ben Jacob, trained in London and Perth, opened a bluffside restaurant overlooking a sweet point break and says, "It's one of the iconic spots." The operation is genre-fluid: an upstairs dining room offers an unstuffy version of elevated coastal seafood cuisine for dinner, downstairs serves casual lunch, and breakfast is dispensed from a walk-up kiosk. A standout memory was the chilli-crab omelette — "a fistful of crab meat wrapped in a golden-egg envelope, showered with foraged greens and minced herbs, and lubricated with a fire-engine-red sauce" — enjoyed on a bench with a view while an envious seagull watched." - Kevin West Kevin West Kevin West is a writer, food consultant, and “canning evangelist” (according to NPR). Had a life-changing egg and bacon McMuffin here the other morning, was living rent free in my head. We returned today, ready to have another however the chef was refusing to make any before 12pm, Despite the fact it was a breakfast burger and just the other morning they made for us. Waitstaff had not a nice attitude. Coffee’s still good but overall left feeling a bit heartbroken.

Stumbling upon Lagoon after a quick Google search for a long weekend ocean-side meal was an absolute revelation! Despite being clearly short-staffed and incredibly busy, Lagoon delivered an outstanding experience. The food was truly memorable, with the fish burger being the undisputed star – seriously, it was SO good! Even with the rush, the service was wonderfully thoughtful and attentive. My guests from Sydney and Brisbane were equally impressed; the risotto, pasta, and even the kids' fish and chips were spot-on. Lagoon was a genuine breath of fresh air, and we deeply appreciated the impeccable service and delicious food. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area, especially for that amazing fish burger!

We had a delicious anniversary lunch here a yesterday and we couldn’t have been happier. The restaurant was very quiet but the chef put on a show of perfection with the feed me menu. Everything was outstanding! We will be back. Thank you for such a lovely meal.

3 stars goes to the staff, nothing to complain about it, they did a very good job. Food is too expensive for what you get (pasta way to small portion for the price, ceasar salad cut in half and sauce/garnish on top, burrata with no bread). Cafe table and plastic chair, looks more like a a cafe but restaurant price. Would not recommend, the place and food do not match the price.

I came through here hiking the Cape to Cape and had take away with my daughter she had a burger, my fish and chips was fresh they both were outstanding. Today I'm back here a second time and the staff are again the epitome of patient and helpful, the coffee and pastry is worth the visit.

Absolutely exceptional food experience!! The flavours rolled from one tastebud to the next! Could not believe the standard of the food from this little ocean side kitchen!! The owner/head chef Ben should be very proud of what he has created! The beach atmosphere was gorgeous and the service friendly and helpful!! We will be back!!!

Never written a review before but $22 for this açai bowl is out of hand. And they forgot we ordered it. 1 strawberry on top. Luckily the beach was still spot on. Cheers

Enjoyed a lovely dinner with my wife here on Valentines Day. We tried the Paella and the Goldband Snapper. Paella was excellent and the serving was a decent size. The Snapper was fantastic, perfectly cooked and tender. Service was excellent, she was polite and helpful. Despite the fact she was very busy.
