We had a very pleasant stay at Lagos Atlantic Hotel. Although there was some construction happening on the premises, it really didn’t affect our experience — in fact, the hotel already looked well-built and very clean, so it didn’t even seem like it needed any work. Everything felt well-maintained and thoughtfully designed.|One thoughtful feature was the water filling station at the front desk — a small but convenient addition that we really appreciated. The front desk staff were always incredibly helpful. They which we were also able to take to the beach. They also gave us directions and helped us try to book excursions, which made getting around much easier.|The pool area was one of our favorite parts of the hotel — it had a fun, relaxing atmosphere with a pool bar, plenty of lounge chairs, and great music playing throughout the day. Breakfast was also a highlight; we especially liked being able to choose how we wanted our eggs prepared.|One particularly kind gesture stood out: we had to leave the hotel early one morning at 7 a.m., before breakfast officially started at 8. The night before, we filled out a form with our breakfast preferences, and the staff packaged everything up and placed it in our room fridge so we’d have food to take with us in the morning. That level of care meant a lot.|To top it all off, we were celebrating our 25th anniversary, and were touched to find a bottle of champagne, chocolates, and fresh fruit waiting for us in the room. It made our stay feel extra special.|On the flip side, this hotel did not provide wakeup call services, and our TV in our room was tucked away on a desk instead of located on a wall in front of the bed (which is what we are used to in a hotel). We also did not have an iron in the room (which was inconvenient) and we had to pick one up from the front desk ourselves instead of them delivering it to our room. |Overall, Lagos Atlantic Hotel offered excellent service, thoughtful touches, and a relaxing, well-kept atmosphere. We would absolutely recommend it.

We stayed four nights at the Lagos Atlantic. Great boutique hotel with delicious options for breakfast including made to order eggs and omelettes. The pastries changed daily, which was a nice touch and added some variety. |The pool area was perfect - plenty of room to lounge around without being on top of one another, nice little bar with fresh cocktails made by the bartender and all reasonably priced. |Like others noted, it’s not walking distance into town but there is a small grocery / market about 5-7 mins walk toward town that was popular with tourists and had everything from fresh vegetables, meats and dairy. |Close to the Porto Mos beach which was huge and ideal for kids. Campimar right on the beach is not to be missed. Reasonably priced and probably one of our best meals in 11 nights in Portugal (O Jacinto in Quarteira would be the one competing for the top spot!). |Rooms were generous and balconies, patios amd terraces were perfect overlooking the pool. Gym was well equipped and we seemed to be the only ones using it. |Would definitely return if we visit Lagos again.

Can’t fault this hotel at all. Clean, spacious rooms with everything you’d need. Coffee machine, great sized mini fridge, good shower, good AC, comfortable beds. Great continental & buffet breakfast included, fresh eggs made to order too. Goes until 11am which is nice as hotel breakfasts often finish up early. Welcome drink tokens upon arrival was a lovely touch, Samuel on the front desk was very kind and helpful too. Location is great especially with a car (but not needed), parking is safe and included. Beautiful beaches and cliff walks less than 5 minutes away and Lagos itself less than 10 minutes away. Hotel amenities & area were lovely and peaceful, very respectful and quiet guests. Sunbeds & pool are nice and clean. Rooftop sunbeds by the gym too that have a great sea view. Perfect hotel in The Algarve for a sun holiday.

We had a wonderful time at the Hotel Atlantic. It was perfect for our trip - only a little distance from the old town but lovely and peaceful so you don’t get woken up by noisy tourists in the street. It’s near a lovely beach and some great restaurants. The hotel itself is fantastic - breakfast is delicious with fresh pastries and eggs made for you each day. The hotel is well decorated and the pool area is just what you need for a relaxing holiday. Drink prices at the bar are very reasonable with a great selection. We would love to shout out Vivienne on reception who was BEYOND helpful at booking us many trips and a massage - thank you! Also Amin at the bar was so friendly and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back next year!

5 min walking distance to a beautiful beach. 11 min ride to the marina. Quiet place to unwind. Breakfast was great. Super clean. Fabulous staff to cater to your needs. They booked us an excursion that was one of the best we had experienced. We had so much fun. I highly recommend this place. I would definitely come back.

The hotel’s location is excellent, especially if you have a car. There's a convenient outdoor car park with a roof, right at the doorstep. It’s also close to the beach—just a pleasant walk away. The area was very quiet and I appreciated it the most. The gym was a decent size and well-equipped. My room was large with a spacious balcony, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was simple, likely because they make omelets and other egg dishes (non vegan) to order. Personally, I (as a vegan) was content with soy and almond milk, muesli with various toppings, and delicious fresh fruit. However, it might get repetitive if you're staying for a longer period. The only downside for me was the smell of cooked eggs that seemed to seep into the room every morning. Overall, great value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay. The pool is refreshing after laying in the hot sun. Breakfast has some variety each day. The rooms are comfortable and the housekeeping does a great job. Uber to town is like $5 and there is parking for rental cars

This hotel was exactly what we needed. It was clean, spacious, had a beautiful view and even included breakfast. While the hotel is not super close to the beach, you can absolutely walk it. However, a car is certainly needed to explore the Algarve / Lagos in full. They had live music at the pool on a Friday night which attracted a small crowd. All in all, we had a great stay.

Yelp
Clean hotel. Mediocre massage. The worse was our hats got stolen at the breakfast buffet. We wouldn't go back there ever.
