Lagos Atlantic Hotel

The hotel is really far from town, impossible to go there for an evening stroll unless you have a car. There is a small but nice sandy beach just a short walk from the hotel, lovely in the winter. Reception staff were helpful, and offering a welcome drink was a nice gesture; however, the personnel at the bar where the drinks were served could not have been more uninterested, and the dinner on offer there was a strange combination of rather random foods heated up in a microwave. Breakfast options were OK but nothing fancy; for both dinner and breakfast, we were served stale bread. Overall, a typical middle-level holiday resort.

This hotel is amazing! It’s open, spacious and light! With beautiful paintings and photos of the landscapes around town. The rooms are very nice and clean, the food is very tasty and a lot to choose from. Especially I wanna give a big shout out to the kind people behind the front desk and Mayara who is managing the breakfast room… She is on another level of kindness and hospitality! She let us start our every new day special and was very helpful with questions in and around the place! This is what makes a stay in whatever place we choose extra special and I’m extremely thankful for people and places like that.

We’ve just left our stay at the Atlantic hotel and it even surpassed our expectations despite the reviews already being so good. Normally, even in the best hotels we’ve stayed in, there’s a few things that could have been slightly better, but it’s hard to pick a hole with anything at this hotel. The service and staff were extremely accommodating and friendly, always on hand for anything you need. The room was fantastic. Beautifully finished to a high standard, the bed was extremely comfortable and bedding felt luxurious, the shower was superb, there was a fridge despite some reviews saying there wasn’t, the tv had all modern apps etc. The facilities were great. Pool was really nice and there were always beds available, the food at the pool was also great and the drinks were fantastic. The breakfast was outstanding! Very varied, so many options available. Highly highly recommend

Stayed 2 nights here Nov 26/27, 2025 and it was an amazing experience. All the accolades from the reviews were 100% correct. From the front desk greetings to the bartender and the breakfast staff, including the housekeeping team, they were truly professional with their jobs. Underneath that essence, they care about what they do, they work hard, and they pay attention to details. The only suggestion I have is that you need a car or make sure you have a car app that gets you into town. It is not walkable to the beach or the town center, at least not for me. lol The icing on the cake would have been if they served dinner, or rather, a more expanded menu for dinner would have been ideal. Otherwise, the breakfast buffet was an excellent offering for the price! Thnak you!

We stayed at Atlantic Lagos Hotel for 4 nights and absolutely loved everything about it! From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The pool area was fantastic — especially the pool bar, which made it easy to relax and enjoy the sunshine. Breakfast each morning was delicious with a great variety of options. The hotel is also perfectly located, just a short walk from the beach. What really stood out was the warm, homey atmosphere throughout our stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Lagos!

Beautiful hotel! Our room was very comfortable and had a massive balcony. The property was peaceful and quiet, and breakfast in the morning was quite good. It’s about a 15- minute Uber ride from Lagos Station. Walking anywhere takes some time — roughly 35 minutes to Old Lagos — but there’s a beach just 5 minutes away with a beautiful hiking trail. The only downside was that the bar and food service closed around 9pm. Many guests, including us, were disappointed since it would’ve been nice to relax with some food or drinks after a long day of exploring. Still, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel!

We stayed at Lagos Atlantic Hotel for 3 nights and absolutely loved it! The service was amazing, the rooms were super comfortable, and the view was stunning. Everything was just perfect, no complaints at all. A special shout-out to Samuel, who went above and beyond with fantastic recommendations for local attractions and great restaurants. His kindness and hospitality truly made our stay even more special. If we ever return to Portugal, we’ll definitely stay here again! Highly recommended.

We stayed four nights at the Lagos Atlantic. Great boutique hotel with delicious options for breakfast including made to order eggs and omelettes. The pastries changed daily, which was a nice touch and added some variety. |The pool area was perfect - plenty of room to lounge around without being on top of one another, nice little bar with fresh cocktails made by the bartender and all reasonably priced. |Like others noted, it’s not walking distance into town but there is a small grocery / market about 5-7 mins walk toward town that was popular with tourists and had everything from fresh vegetables, meats and dairy. |Close to the Porto Mos beach which was huge and ideal for kids. Campimar right on the beach is not to be missed. Reasonably priced and probably one of our best meals in 11 nights in Portugal (O Jacinto in Quarteira would be the one competing for the top spot!). |Rooms were generous and balconies, patios amd terraces were perfect overlooking the pool. Gym was well equipped and we seemed to be the only ones using it. |Would definitely return if we visit Lagos again.

Clean hotel. Mediocre massage. The worse was our hats got stolen at the breakfast buffet. We wouldn't go back there ever.
