A Guide to Venice’s Islands, From Burano to Lido | Condé Nast Traveler

"Laguna Bar on Burano serves excellent cicchetti with canal views and is the perfect pause between lace-shop visits for a quick, window-on-the-water snack and drink." - Jenn Rice

We had our lunch here today. The food is very tasty, the service is super friendly, and fairly priced. The server answered all our questions with a smile and patiently. I totally recommend this place.

We had breakfast here. It’s a place clearly loved by the locals, yet the staff were also very kind and welcoming to tourists. The cappuccino and sandwiches were delicious. Compared to cafés filled only with tourists, this one felt much warmer and more genuine, and I absolutely loved it. Enjoying it together with the quiet morning scenery of Burano made for a wonderful memory.

Lovely place for lunch in Burano. The service was great , Alessandro was very helpful and had a nice chat with him. The gnocchi with sausage was the best I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend! Also had the grilled vegetables, spritz and a cola.

Great little shop in beautiful Burano. I had an assortment of cicchetti and enjoyed every one of them! Service was also spectacular - helped me choose which ciccheti to get and were friendly and polite the whole time. Price was also very reasonable! Thank you Laguna Bar!

The place is nice but it’s a normal bar to have coffee or snack. Nothing so special. It has in door and out door place in front of the bar and a small yard at the back. The staff are friendly. The variety of snacks and sweets are not so much.

Yelp
While traveling on the island of Murano in Venice I decided to eat before going to Burano. I chose this location because they were advertising small tapas. I was seated really which was lucky because after I sat down lots of people wanted to eat here as well. I ordered a glass of prosecco and 3 tapas; scallop with artichoke cream, anchovy with lemon, and cream cod. All were delicious and just enough for a light lunch.

Yelp
My siblings and I came in January 2022 when the sun was already starting to set. Because we were vacationing during off season we had a chance to see what luguna bar really was like without all the tourists. This place had really good vibes. A lot of nonnos(grandpas) and nonnas don this establishment all enjoying their aperol spritz. We too enjoyed our own aperol spritz and enjoyed a variety of sandwiches called tramezzino. They were heavenly. The bread was so fluffy! Surrounding ourselves with the locals while they chatter and enjoy small talk eith each other really makes you embrace the true italian art of doing nothing.

Yelp
It's a little hole in the wall and the menu looked good so we went inside. We ordered fried fish because it seemed popular, when we got it we didn't realize it was going to be fried saLt. Everything was salty to a point where we couldn't continue eating. The coffee was alright but definitely not returning! We have enough salt in our system for a while.
