Laguna Golf Phuket

Played 19 June 25. LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT - course that is. Found it odd that bag drop was resto area (I think it was the bfast resto for Banyan) Lockers for men under repair for the time being. Ladies lockers still operational. Proshop was decent. What I didn't like: ZERO INSTRUCTIONS as to where to go for starter and such. Nothing at all. Just took payment and we are left to wander like blind mice. Course was nice. Flat and friendly but the amount of water... I donated 4 balls in 6 holes. Greens are being repaired now too so it was MEH. Rough was unfriendly too - thick like a sheep waiting to be sheared. Fairway was nice however. Sights were also ok. Surrounded by hotels and villas. Background view of low hills was cool too. Halfway houses were quite stocked as well. Since they are repairing the greens, fees are quite low and players under 18 was CHEAP! So will come again when greens improve. Loving this place truly and better than Laguna Dusit in Singapore.

As someone who’s been taking golf lessons all around the world (from Dubai to Cape Town) I can confidently say that Matt Richardson is the best golf instructor I’ve had the pleasure of learning from so far. I spent a week training with Matt daily at Laguna Golf and it was honestly the best golfing experience ever. Each session was packed with insight, encouragement and passion for the game. Matt has a rare ability to break things down in a way that’s easy to understand, while still challenging you to push your limits. His coaching helped me improve so much in just one week.. more than I ever expected. Coming back to Dubai, where I’m currently continuing lessons at the Peter Cowen Academy, I can clearly feel how much better and more confident I’ve become, all thanks to the solid foundation Matt helped me build. Beyond his expertise, Matt is super humble, genuine and seriously funny. He made every lesson not just valuable but truly enjoyable. Saying goodbye was emotional because of how much I learned from him.. I’m nothing but grateful for this experience. Matt is not just a coach, he is someone who really cares and is deeply passionate about his craft. Thanks to him, I’ve become a better player. Also a huge thanks to instructor Jeff Craig for recommending Matt. It was such an honor to meet you as well and see you in action, both of you are undoubtedly some of the best people I’ve met at Laguna Golf Phuket. Can’t wait to come back for more sessions soon!!

I played on 3 occasions, and it was great. Fairways and greens are in good condition. The caddies are friendly. The overall facilities, bar and restaurant are great. Our highlight was the coaching sessions by Sean Harrison, the PGA Teaching Professional. He managed to get my wife to enjoy golf. She tried on the driving range for 10 years, and never felt comfortable. Sean suggested she tried to play right-handed instead of left-handed. It worked. My wife actually got emotional, that after all these years she finally can hit balls straight. Thanks Sean.

Used the driving range. Unlimited balls for 300 Baht and Club hire for 50 Baht. Range closes at 5pm.

Had a fantastic time at Laguna Golf Phuket! The course is in immaculate condition, with well-kept greens and fairways that make each round enjoyable and challenging. The layout is thoughtfully designed, offering a great mix of scenic beauty and strategic play, making it fun for golfers of all levels. The staff were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The facilities are top-notch, and the clubhouse has a great atmosphere for relaxing after a round. Highly recommend Laguna Golf if you’re in Phuket—truly a first-class golfing experience!

Would have given 5 stars had it not been for the course Marshall some ‘members’ and the trying to hurry us along at the end of the round because rain was coming. We played 18 holes (as a threesome) in 3 hours and 5 min, including one walker. Were we supposed to run to our balls? Otherwise that, course was nice and caddies were great. ‘Members’ there should get a life and be happier. Frowning faces all around 👎

Fun golf course with very knowledgeable and encouraging caddy. There are a few challenging holes with plenty of bunkers and water throughout the course. Well-manicured and greens were quick and varied. Great clubhouse to relax after the game. Tip: when checking in, make sure to take advantage of the practice range prior to your game.

Played a round here after very heavy rainfall the night through to the morning. The course seems to hold up well in the long prolonged rain only with flooded bunkers being the major disappointment. The course is walkable being flat and short PAR71 with 5 Par 3s. The course mainly has surrounding resort and lake view. The greens were the quickest of the ones we played during this trip, of which was impressive as there was no sign of failing/sick greens. However, get plenty of balls as the lakes are more in play here even in comparison to Loch Palm.
