Absolutely amazing ruins, great sunset view!
One of my favorite Mayan ruins, not so busy, not so many people. In the middle of the jungle, not as big as Tikal but still extensive and many ruins to see and a large territory to explore.

Our guide, Brandon from Ka ana Resort, was amazing. I look forward to coming back
The sunset was Beautiful. The fireflies by the lake were cool to see and the Maya site had so much to explore. Wish we could have stayed longer but we had to make yo the boarder before it closed at 9 pm.

On the edge of the Petén jungle lies the unspoilt Laguna Yaxhá. While this lake in the 1st millennium BC. was in the heartland of the Maya, it is now on the periphery of the modern state of Guatemala. Fortunately, because this makes it a tourist-free and untouched lake.
