Lahan Select Gyeongju

Lovely hotel and location. Room facing lake amazing. However, they won't let you have air-conditioning or control your own room temperature! They suggest you open the patio window to balcony but with sun shining in at 20 +degrees that didn't work! Such a shame as spoilt the stay a bit and affected how well we slept. Corridor also stifling hot. You couldn't use room in the day - too hot. Thankfully they do use air-conditioning in rest of hotel (downstairs and lifts). Rooms and beds very clean and comfortable and great size. Cleaners work very hard to keep the room perfect. Thank you to the team at the hotel - lovely people and very customer focused making stay special. Market 338 food court very good, lots of choice, staff work hard to deliver delicious food and keep it very clean.

The friendliness of the staff, the cleanliness of the room and the scenic background (especially the lake view) are the highlights of this hotel. Upon arrival there is no one to help with bags. Checkin was done via a queueing system and required a wait of 20 minutes. Access to hotel facilities like the swimming pool require additional payment. In the winter the hotel does not let you reduce the temperature of the room via the AC. The room was stuck on 25 degrees, so we had to keep the windows open all night. The next day we had the queue 30 minutes to be seated for breakfast. The breakfast is good, but the selection is not too big. Not the hospitality you would expect from a 5* hotel. Fortunately the staff are still very friendly.

We loved the hotel. I know the room gets hot im winter. The breakfast is really good. It has korean and american dishes. The smell in the hotel is so lovely. The fact you have the walkway around the lake from the hotel is very nice. The view from the elevator is amazing. We also used the sauna. It is very clean. We had a great time overall.

Very nice hotel with very large beds and beautiful rooms, very clean. |The breakfast buffet impresses with its wide variety and excellent service. |As everywhere in Korea, the staff are linguistically talented and professional in their work.|The hotel is located in a very quiet neighborhood with small promenades around the hotel.

Rooms are spacious and the lake view is stunning. Breakfast is extremely varied and tasty, but the pastry section is to be avoided.To move around it would have been better to have a car, but taxis are easy to order.The slippers were the lowest quality we encountered on this trip, the other amenities were ok.The main downside has been the cleanliness. While surfaces could definitely have used some more cleaning, the bedsheets weren't supposed to be changed unless specifically asked, according to their green police. But the changed them anyways and lost my pijama pants. Reception did what they could to locate them, but they couldn't find them after 3 days. Extremely disappointing for a hotel of that caliber. Now I have to buy new ones...

What a very odd hotel. I stayed here as part of a tour group -it was a good location for what we wanted to do. But such an impersonal hotel. Staff far from friendly -nobody looked happy. |Buffet hugely expensive , no where decent to eat or drink within walking distance so the only very unsatisfactory option was to eat in the hotel’s basement canteen area where you had to order on an app and then supply a Korean phone number with your order ( not exactly handy for international tourists) . |The rooms were huge, beds comfy. Very little storage space, no bed side tables, no bed side lights, no balcony furniture. One table and one arm chair, a huge TV exclusively Korean. No full length mirror, a scatty vanity mirror on a stand and very poor lighting throughout. The maddest aspect was the charge to use the swimming pool -it worked out around £35 per day per adult for hotel guests. I’m astonished they had any guests at all.

Very big hotel. We stayed here as part of a tour. It's by a nice lake, far from attractions Jeongju (20 minutes drive) and there is nowhere to eat or have a drink at a, walk g distance.||The hotel is very big, certainly not full, even so did not have a view to the lake in our room.||The was ample but strange. No wardrobe or storage place, so we had to leave our suitcases on the floor. The room was clean. Beds, were OK. Three was a kettle, instant coffee, tea, complimentary water, slippers, bathrobes, a safety box, bad lightning and a large TV only understandable for koren speaking people. The balcony had no chairs.||Breakfast was OK, but missed hot milk (!!!)||The hotel has a buffet restaurant and a fast food area.||Guest were charged 30 U. S. Dollars to use the, swimming pool, so I did not use it.||I Would not return to this hotel

Impressive hotel next to the lake. While we booked a mountain view room, we were lucky to get a corner room which we could see the lake from the balcony. Service was good. The hotel has a huge and nice bookstore/cafe, and even a bowling facility.
