LAJK restaurant Dubrovnik

Omg! I am so disappointed with the dinner … ordered sea bass, seafood pasta and a seasonal salad .. seabass was not seasoned , pasta was from canned sauce and I barely find any seafood and it cost 20 euro for that plate of pasta ! A bottle of small water cost 7 euro! The whole dinner cost 60 euros! This is a day light robbery ! Worst food in the whole Dubrovnik old town ! Unacceptable !

Food: We ordered a set menu and everything was UNAPPETIZING for a VERY UNREASONABLE PRICE. Bread was stale, salad has no dressing. Seafood Risotto's ingredients seem to come from frozen seafood and canned sardines in tomato sauce (2nd photo). Grilled Calamari was not fresh and potato was not cooked properly (1st photo). In short, everything was NOT FRESH. I really wonder why this restaurant is still running. Service: This is a tourist trap coz the waiters were rude and unwelcoming. They were also rushing despite that they only have few customers. As a restaurant located at the heart of so many tourist spots, they should better post outside that they ONLY ACCEPT CASH AND NOT CARD to keep everyone aware (despite having a card machine). Atmosphere: We were dining outside and it was fine but because of the unfriendly staff and bad food, it ruined everything. I've travelled to several countries and this by far was the WORST FOOD SERVICE EVER. Overall comment: Before dining, please check the reviews so you would know if the food's worth your money.

Worst food ever, stay away, the prosciutto and cheese tasted rancid, the seafood platter for 2 was horrible, the food tasted like refried food from 3 days ago. I told them I'm not paying for the food only the drinks and they charged my card for everything. They guy smiles nice to get you to sit down to dine, but they are SCAM artists that prey on tourists and if you read their reviews which I did not in the moment, you'll see... the one star i gave is because I had to give a star to create this review. I hope the amount of viewers i have help shut this place down.

€36 for an order of €20 grilled calamari, €10 for a bottle of sparkling water & €6 service fee for 2 people & CASH ONLY at time of paying. They don’t even print out the receipt for you bc they ran out of paper. What an excuse!!! DO NOT EVER COME TO THIS PLACE. CROATIAN people are super nice & honest, not this guy nor this restaurant. The food was NOT good either. They don’t have pricing on the menu for drinks either. SCAM SCAM SCAM. BIG ALERTTTTTT. Don’t let this restaurant ruin your Dubrovnik experience. This restaurant is the EXCEPTION

Tourist trapped! Avoid this place! DO NOT go here. We do not recommend this restaurant at all. The food was not good. We had the set meal. The salad had no dressing, fish has bones and scales. Worst was they charged €6 as table tax, which was not mentioned anywhere at all. And only accepted tax. It left a bitter taste for us.

The fish was not cooked properly. One side is warm, and the other side is cold. It is as cold as it feels like it came out from the refrigerator After the food came, and as soon as I noticed the fish was undercooked and potentially not safe to eat, I notified the waiter. He said to wait for 2 minutes but I felt uncomfortable continuing to be there and he kept insisting 2 minutes and it will be cooked properly. I wonder how would he asks the chef to do that. I told him I no longer wanted to eat at this resturant and he said " you have to pay", but I told him the food was not properly cooked so it is not reasonable, then he said " just go" with a very loud voice and arm swinging body gesture. I personally found that to be rather rude. At least he is reasonable to tell me that he is not going to charge me for the meal at last. And during the whole conversation, he did not apologize for the food being not properly cooked. It was not a welcoming nor friendly atmosphere.

To sum it up, I will quote the person sitting behind us: "the best thing on the menu is the water" and that's until you realize that it's 10 euros for a one litre bottle... the food was below average, the croissant were stale, at least a day old. The orange juice is a shooter size drink with 3 times more ice than juice. The waiter that seemed to be the owner tried to bully me to pay cash. When I said I didn't have any, a machine miraculously appeared. I don't know why I didn't check Google for reviews before sitting down... probably because the kids were hangry

Tourist trap. Would not recommend to anyone. Food was terrible. Service wasn’t good either. Overall a really bad experience. Octopus had been fried completely dry and the vegetables were just like those frozen vegetable mixes you can find at any store. They fool you with low price food but don’t have a drink menu so when we ordered wine it turned out to be same price as the food itself. When we asked for the check we had to go pay inside where we found out they only take cash, which we didn’t have enough on us. So we had to go find the closest atm and then go back and pay… 70€ for this crap.
