Despite our room being vacated already by 11 AM by the previous guests, it wasn’t cleaned or ready for us until after 3:15 PM. This long delay was just the beginning of a series of disappointing experiences during our stay. The spa was in very poor condition. It was visibly dirty, and we witnessed a staff member cleaning the floors using the same towels provided for guests to dry off after showering. She then closed the sauna, telling us it hadn’t been cleaned in two weeks. After applying Clorox, we had to wait 45 minutes for it to dry before we could use it — unacceptable in any facility claiming to offer wellness services. The spa carpet was covered in small debris and garbage, with particles stuck in the fibers, and there were no slippers provided — an unhygienic and uncomfortable oversight. The hotel rooms were also outdated, with no bathroom ventilation. While our room was finally being cleaned, the staff member had a loud speakerphone conversation with other employees, making it impossible to rest. Noise isolation in the building was poor — we could hear other guests’ conversations and footsteps from the rooms above. Overall, the hotel did not feel clean, and the service left a lot to be desired. Even the restaurant was extremely slow, taking 30–40 minutes to serve food for just three people. We would not return to this hotel and unfortunately cannot recommend it to others looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed place to stay.

A Perfect Romantic Getaway Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa was the perfect place for our honeymoon—relaxing, romantic, and absolutely beautiful. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and taken care of. Our room had a stunning view that made it hard to leave! One of the highlights was the boat ride around the lake. We loved learning about the rich history of the area and seeing the incredible homes—many once owned (and some still owned) by celebrities. It added a charming, old-Hollywood feel to the trip. The food at the resort was delicious, and we also enjoyed exploring the quaint restaurants and shops nearby. The entire atmosphere was peaceful and refreshing—a true escape from everyday life. We highly recommend Lake Arrowhead to anyone looking to unwind. Whether you're a couple, a family, or just someone needing a break, this place is a hidden gem. We couldn’t have asked for a better honeymoon!

We will be back! Loved the location (walking distance to shops and restaurants). The breakfast buffet was great and enjoyed eating outside on the deck overlooking the water. Next time we’ll get a lake view. Kids loved the pool and private beach!

We did not stay at the resort. But from what we could see from the lobby area, it looks beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the outside dining and the view of the lake as our backdrop. The food was fantastic, but the service was a little slow. But we weren't in a hurry so...

The room was disgusting. Peeling wallpaper, wet stained carpets, Sauna and Steam room were not available. Not enough chairs around the pool. Jacuzzi water was murky and smelled like urine. Access to the SMALL beach area were steep stairs, and again, not enough chairs. Massage therapist talked during my entire massage. Overpriced HOTEL This place is not a RESORT. Find another place to stay.

My husband and I were visiting Lake Arrowhead and had planned a short stay at a different hotel, but it was so disappointing that we almost cut our vacation short. To brighten our spirits, we had dinner at Bin 189, the restaurant at this resort. On a chance inquiry, we found a room available and decided to spend our last night here, which completely salvaged our trip. The resort is absolutely beautiful, the room was wonderful, and there were so many enjoyable activities. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort; it was a fantastic experience.

Overall excellent experience here. Staff was friendly available and very helpful. Room was spacious comfortable and clean. Outdoor and indoor seating areas were well-kempt scenic and uncrowded. My one restaurant experience there was a superb breakfast that was reasonably priced. I will definitely be back and bring my hard-to-please family. 😊

Scott the hotel director was extremely rude and unprofessional, after I explained to him that I had to get 6 new room keys , for my 2 day stay and there is probably something wrong with my door, He gave me a dirty look and told me to get in line, zero compassion, I don’t understand how someone with his character can be the director. We have came here for 7 years, each summer, this was the worst experience because of him. This is a great place but I feel bad for any guest , when an issue comes up and they have to be treated so poorly by Scott. He was condescending, he ruined our family vacation. I never leave reviews, I’m hoping someone hire up sees it and looks into how he is treating CUSTOMERS.

More like 3 stars, but I gave 4 because of location. Location is Prime: Easy walking distance to the village, where there is a Stater Brothers, lake front restaurants, a CVS, and shopping. Basically anything you need if you want to vacation without driving. The hotel is right on the lake and has a small private beach area where you can swim in the lake. ** It's worth noting that you cannot rent paddle boards or canoes on this lake, you can only sign up for excursions. We went to Lake Gregory where you can rent kayaks, paddle boards, etc and they have an inflatable water park and 2 waterslides. Rooms: hotel is a bit run down but that didn't bother us because we weren't expecting a true resort. The carpets in our room were really stained. We got a lake front balcony king (room 242). The view of the lake was perfect. It's a noisy hotel. We could hear the people above us stomping and running. It's family friendly so lots of kids. Again, we were expecting the noise so put our earphones in and it didn't bother us. Activities: nightly movies, a game room that stinks (air hockey that doesn't work, a claw machine, and table soccer). Pool is heated and nice. Fire pits and patio area were nice. The beach spot in front of the lake was nice and had a fire pit for smores. All in all this was a good place for families to vacation who don't want to load up the kids and drive to do everything. We did go to sky park and lake Gregory which were easy 15 min drives from the hotel. We ate at the village pizza spot which was decent, and Saddleback Grill which was nicer and really good. The hotel is good for families, not so much for couples wanting more quiet and luxury.

My partner and I have been loyal members of Spa of the Pines for over a year and have always paid on time. We genuinely enjoy the convenience of the location and want to support a local wellness facility that serves the mountain community. However, we were disappointed by a recent rate increase, especially considering the number of unresolved maintenance issues that have persisted since we joined. These include a broken men's shower, no lighting in the men's sauna/steam room, taped or broken lighting in the women's sauna/steam room, broken tiles on the walls and ceiling of the sauna/steam room, consistently flooded women's showers, wear to walls around showers, dirty filtration/HVAC ducts within toilet women's areas, and many unusable lockers with no functioning electronic locks. Despite bringing these concerns to the attention of Estela, with spa management, and respectfully requesting a discussion around a possible loyalty, partner, or first-responder discount--or even a temporary rate adjustment until the facility is better maintained--we were told that rates are fixed and cannot be negotiated. While we appreciate the peaceful setting and recognize the cost of maintaining such a facility, we find the current rate hard to justify in light of the ongoing disrepair and lack of flexibility from management. Other gyms in the area offer similar or better-maintained amenities, often at lower prices and with added benefits like updated equipment, flexible class schedules, and wellness perks. We're sharing this review in hopes it helps others make an informed decision and encourages the resort to consider more responsive, member-focused service in the future.

When we drove up, I was disappointed. The exterior needs a lot of TLC. The resort is large and very dated. In our room, both sliding doors were loud and squealed. Our carpet was stained as well. Wall paper was peeling in areas. On the other hand, the location couldn't be better. Walking distance to the village and grocery store. In the evening they have a fire pit on the beach and we roasted marshmallows. My kids liked the game room and evening movies. Access to the dock to fish was also very nice. The resort had chairs for guests on both the beach and dock which I appreciated. The pool area was nice and you could purchase food and drinks poolside. Downside, only one spa was working. I was able to talk to other guests at the pool one day. The lady I spoke with said she grew up coming to this resort. Being that Lake Arrowhead is a HOA private lake, having access to a beach area and a fishing dock is uncommon for the area, and a great amenity in staying here. The reason I give this resort a 4 star instead of a lower rating is because of the staff. The front desk was very helpful in many instances and gave us great ideas of things to do in the area. They were always greeting us with a smile. If you can get past the dated decor, this resort is a nice spot near the village.

Went to check into our "lakeside view room" and the view was of the next door neighbors garages and a dirty towel hanging from a tree. I called the front desk to ask if we were in the right room and they said that is what they consider a lakeside view room. Im super disappointed and it kind of killed the whole vibe of our trip celebrating our son's 8th birthday as we told him we got him a view of the lake, because that's what it said in the description.

This place is so ghetto. We came here for our wedding anniversary and paid A LOT of money for our stay. The room itself has stains all over the place, the tv picture is so bad it's like watching a show in the 90's by antenna, there are fingerprints on some of the glass surfaces that do not belong to us, curtains have shreds in them just from being that old, they don't tell you that there are all these tricks to making the air/heat to work and which light switch by the door has to be turned on for the microwave to work (the engineer had to tell us the tricks after our 2nd complaint) and there's a metal plate in the middle of the floor that isn't tacked down all the way-but the real kick in the peach is that we left our room at 9 am and came back close to 4 pm and our room still has not been cleaned. We wanted to come back from a long day out and shower and rest but we have no clean towels etc etc. I called the front desk about it and was put on hold for so long that I hung up and walked to the front desk myself. I had to ask for a manager twice before someone came out. It is morally wrong to charge people this much money and hope they don't complain. I'm not that person. They know they're charging stupid money and crossing their fingers they'll get away with it. They offered me 1/2 my money back, which is not redeeming by the scam of claiming they're a "resort" of any kind, but I took it because at best, 1/2 was what it was worth. I wanted to see how soon they would send someone to clean the room so we went back up. 45 minutes in, the front desk called to let me know that they reimbursed me and I had to tell her that NO ONE HAD COME TO CLEAN THE ROOM. 5 minutes later we got a knock at our door from room service with no cart-just new towels. In the end, we came back to the room turned down, and left within 30 min of waking up the next morning. Needless to say we will never go there again.

We reserved a room with a lake view and a balcony, which was an accurate description, however, the rest was a major disappointment. First, the room was in sore need of an update and at the very least, a good cleaning. The curtains were tattered, the carpeting had stains all over, the screen door was off the rail. Worse yet, were directly over a dilapidated area that once had a jacuzzi and an old deck. It totally marred the view of the lake. I requested a change in rooms, however, I was told that it was the last room in its class, so there was no recourse. The only star I would give is for the wonderful, pleasant, and professional service provided by Lia at the front desk. Don't waste your money (about $350/ night) - go elsewhere!

Spent a 3 night stay here for a retreat near by. It was spring time but there was snow on the ground and the weather was warm during the day and cold at night. While I enjoyed my time here, just be aware before making reservations, this facilities does not provide staff site services, such as room service, luggage help or travel assistance. There is a restaurant, a lake, fitness center and spa. The rooms have the standard amenities in addition to a small balcony with table and chairs. Located on beautiful well kept grounds and a huge lobby

We have been doing an annual trip here for the past 4 years! Rooms are outdated, but we always get the room facing the lake with a balcony which makes it enjoyable. Staff are always so nice willing to help when we are in need of assistance. The resort itself does offer some awesome activities like a scavenger hunt for the kids to earn a special treat, movie night, game room, spa, fitness center, access to a private beach, and good food at the restaurant. Ava the hostess was amazing at Bin 189. So sweet and kind. Great property to just walk around with your families embracing the beauty of nature. Walking distance to Lake Arrowhead Village offering all kinds of shops and restaurants facing the lake. This is a great resort to bring your family for a short term vacation or even just a night. My kids and I enjoyed it every time and reason why we keep visiting every year!

Terrible experience! Hotel is run down with rotting wood, peeling paint and a roof that is missing tiles and looks to be in awful shape was just the start. The check-in was 10 people long with one person working at the front desk. We were in the "tranquility suite" and it is dated beyond belief with peeling wallpaper in the bathroom and horribly stained carpet. We could hear the people in the room above us walking and the sliding glass door provides zero sound blocking from the screaming at the pool. The final insult was that we had massages and facials booked at the spa with an email confirmation and when we arrived they didn't have record of the appointments and couldn't fit us in. So disappointing from start to finish. Do not stay here. Not worth the cost!

A great hotel in Lake Arrowhead!! The outside of the building looks....scary. But the inside is very nice! The lobby is huge and feels welcoming. They have everything you could want. A SPA, workout classes including sound bath meditation classes, access to the lake, a dock where you can fish, a pool, hot tubs, a resturant, and a coffee shop with light breakfast bites! We really enjoyed our stay here. It's also a great place for weddings and events. For one night here, it cost about $300. It's pricey, but for what you're getting, it's worth it if you're looking for a relaxing vacation with lots of options on stuff to do. It's also within walking distance to the main lake arrowhead shopping district. Unfortunately, it's not a great walking path, you have to walk in the road and really watch for cars. If you have children, be careful!

The Resort is in need of a remodel. The outside /Exterior (paint,trim Shutters ,sidewalks need serious TLC .This place was built in the early 80s and shows it. The second outside soa is MIA. The pool area only has a few umbrellas. The managers should be having meetings with the owners or soon they will be closed.

Getting to this resort was tricky due to it being on the mountain, but it was so worth it. The staff were across the board incredibly professional and nice- I had some needs and they met them always with a smile and with efficiency. Atmosphere was cozy and VERY CLEAN- I can't stress that enough bc I'm a picky hotel stayer- it was wonderfully cleaned. View of the lake and the pool were nice as well. Highly recommend- I came for a work conference and food was pretty good- their breakfast veggie burritos were so good with the pico de gallo and salsa they provided. I want to come back for a personal visit as well.

This resort was exactly what me and my kids needed to "get away" during the summer! As we made our way up, through the winding roads of the San Bernardino National Forest, I started to feel like I was a world away from all the stress of city life. While the exterior of the resort could use a fresh coat of paint, once you walk into the main lobby/check in area, you'll definitely get that "resort" feel. Check in was a breeze, and the staff checking us in were very friendly, and quickly gave us a rundown of the resort, activities on site and directions to the pool, lake, restaurant and room. Our lakeview room was very nice. Yes, our sliding screen door was off the railing and a bit torn and yes, one of the patio chairs had a plastic wicker pattern which was coming apart, but otherwise, the place was clean and nicely decorated. This place is in need of a few updates/upgrades, but, overall, it really isn't bad for what you get on the resort. In my opinion, what makes this place so great, is that you really NEVER have to leave the resort to enjoy your stay. You've brought kids? They have movie nights and kid friendly entertainment in the evenings. Did you come solo or with your significant other? They've got GREAT food/dining and a bar for you to chill at. Brought the whole family? Try doing some lake swimming of fishing off the dock...and who DOESN'T like S'mores making at night on the beach?!?!?! Oh, and by the way, there's NO ADDITIONAL costs for your kids to attend the movie/entertainment, go fishing (children under 14), or make S'mores (you're allowed to bring your own S'mores stuffs to the fire pit on the beach to make them). Since any TRUE YELPER knows it's all about the food, there's a restaurant on site named "Bin 189" (which I'll write a separate review for). All I'll say about the restaurant is that the food is amazing, as is the wait staff. My daughter (who constantly makes fun of her Yelping father for taking pictures of his food), thought the food was so good, and looked so delicious, she took her FIRST EVER PHOTO of her food to send/share with her friends (I'm raising a future Yelper people!). The resort is within walking distance to the nearby village, where there are a bunch of eateries, shops and a State Bros. grocery store. Usually, by the time our trips are coming to an end, the kids are MORE than ready to head home. Not this time. They begged to stay a little longer. That should tell you everything you need to know about how great this place is! THE FOLLOWING INFO IS BEING PROVIDED JUST FYI AND DID NOT AFFECT MY RATING: The unfortunate thing I did encounter while staying here were very rude guests. This place seems to attract a lot of "self important", "this is OUR town", "do you know who I am?" type of people. They clearly can't appreciate a bit of ruggedness that comes with staying in the wilderness, and are more the "glampers" than "campers" types. In one of the hallways to the rooms, a guest was screaming at cleaning personnel that she needed to "learn English". Soooooo....yeah, just be aware.

Had a lovely weekend stay in the summer of 2023 as a birthday getaway. I took advantage of the 15% off SoCal coupon off their main website, which was a big help! Parking is free and check in was very fast. We had a 200-level room facing the pool and the Lake and it was incredible! Happy kids and families and watching the boats on the lake was like being in another world away from the City. The room was cozy with a spacious bathroom with- which come with pool towels - yay! The resort also has a small beach lakeside which is sweet, considering Arrowhead is not entirely public I believe. So if you don't mind the families, dip your feet in! The only downside was that there's one eatery called Bin 189 on the premises and it's overpriced with super slow service (even for takeout)!. The burgers were all right, and we enjoyed eating a low lit dinner on the balcony enjoying the view. Very filling! I didn't try the coffee shop in the morning by reception, but I appreciate it being there, All in all, with the additional coupons I'm getting in my inbox, I'd definitely consider coming back to such a peaceful place and bring more of my family. I completely get the allure of Lake Arrowhead!

Two stars and that would only be because the location is great. Lake front and right next to the village. Very convenient and obviously beautiful. The hotel stay was a disappointment. This hotel is in need of a renovation. Place looks run down and it is obvious that they are not maintaining many of the areas. The service at the restaurant was so slow... and waitresses were not very nice. The coffee shop was sold out of their pastries even early in the morning every day. I had booked kayaking tours for myself and my kids. They got cancelled last minute due to employee being out sick. You would think they have a back up for situations like these... the hotel did not try to make it right by offering to reschedule. Not enough seats at the pool and lake side. Room had a nasty humid smell and everything in it was old and torn. Check-im process was quick and easy.

The family and I have been full-time residents here for quite some time, and we have deep roots in this area. We arrived at the restaurant at 8:23PM July 15 and almost was about to be sitting but something triggered the old hostess..We requested a table for six, four kids two adults. She told us that she could not accommodate us as we don't accept any walking anymore?? Place was closing at 9 PM. The restaurant was not busy at all, with many empty tables. Asked for the manager, I really couldn't believe this,when our mountain economy is so bad. Spoke to the manager, he too reiterated that they could not seat us due to not having any reservations, as they were at full capacity. Hostess was talking over him and directly to me, so rude. I believe Deming was afraid of the old blonde hostess and didn't want to disagree with her. Does this place looks busy?? In this crazy economy and some hostess decides when to close the restaurant? Who owns this place? They need to know, you are loosing clients here buddy. Disappointed and unlikely to return in the future.

I stayed here for the first time and it really impressed me! The beautiful lobby is enough to show you how much this place takes care of Their resort! The customer service at the front desk was superb! They were very accommodating and helpful to all our questions! The view we had was Perfect of the lake and the pool area was absolutely perfect! It has 2 jacuzzi's too!! Heated pool The room was nice and cozy. Within walking distance of the village too! Definitely coming back - already booked!!

I implore you to LISTEN UP. Gorgeous property...but they 100% have BED BUGS. I stayed there 1 night and within 24 hours I had 100+ bites. If I could post pictures of the spots I recieved you'd be appauled. There are multiple reviews on various sites that mention bed bugs, yet they denied the presence of them (of course theyre going to deny it). I had to get prescription medication and I even provided detailed pictures, yet the "Resort" only offered me a 50% refund AFTER lolligagging on getting back to me. You probably wont get bitten up like I did (I hope), but I definitely wouldnt risk it again! Those bites were brutal haha Good luck if you decide to stay though!

Hello friends, this my honest review of our stay. My first impressions of this resort is that it is in a beautiful setting and their entrance is warm, inviting and classy. Honestly a wonderful place for multiple occasions. Our room was clean with some expected ware and tear. For example, a bit of the carpet and the sheers had some tears and the some of tiles in the spa/shower/ bathroom needed re-grouting. Also, I was surprised that the wall paper was holding up, not usually a good choice for high moisture areas. Overall, Nothing obvious or really that deterred from the overall comfort or aesthetic of the room-for us. We've stayed in lakeside resorts much more weathered from the water,guest, etc. The Furniture was very comfortable, leather seats and the bed was great. The spa tub was lovely. Pretty deep and the jets worked well. The shower was very nice. Plus you can't beat the view! The bad regarding Maintenance: about the room- we were woken up by banging/ clanking noises at least 2-3 times a night. We were told likely the AC. Someone came to check on it and cleaned something inside, so the noise was less frequent after that. There was something like black charcoal left behind in the bathroom- he should've cleaned that. I hope they fix this in the future. The AC kept going down to 64 too. The bad about housekeeping: we only wanted the room cleaned once in our 3 night stay. The trash was taken out and towels replaced. That's it! No refill on the coffee, no making the bed, no vacuum. I really keep our room tidy to make it easy for house keeping to do a quick tidy but it just seemed like a half job to me. We asked the receptionist about this and she said that was not typical. Onto the good! The outside pool was so enjoyable. Heated just right. Plus 2 hot tubs. There is some visible damage to the wood paneling from woodpeckers! It didn't bother me when I saw what caused the holes. I loved watching them, the blue jays, swallows, ravens, we even saw a bald eagle in the distance! The lake access is sweet with a place to make s'mores or sit around a fire, an adjacent trail that was very enjoyable for us and our 4 year old. The poolside food had a limited but solid menu. BYO burger and hot dog were so good, they had brats too. I liked their burger better than the inside resort restaurant, if I'm being honest. The cafe is small but good. I'll do a separate review of the restaurant... They have a great looking gym- it's a decent size with lots of weights, cable sets, treadmills, and other stationary machines. I saw a few people look really relaxed after their spa/ massage time. The men's and women's lockers/ spas are so nice: saunas, spa tub, quiet areas and lockers. I couldn't use these features since I'm pregnant but would love to next time. There was a deck that was closed off for need of repair- I hope this gets fixed because it looks it'd be such fun. There's a good sized game room and mini theater. Bothe enjoyable. Checkout: We did have a hard time time trying to check out, seemed like they allowed a bunch of guests to have an early check in for a convention at the same time as check out- maybe put some time between those. The receptionists were very kind. Thankfully, I called and they allowed us to check out over the phone or my husband would've waited 45min, thank you! Overall we'd stay here again, and greatly enjoyed a time of relaxing. I like that there was enough to enjoy for adults and children alike and that overall the grounds were kept clean. There's a little scavenger hunt for the kids too! We had a couple of bumps but the staff made good effort to resolve the issues or at the least try to make amends for the inconveniences. It's a great place but still I hope they continue to make improvements because this place has great potential!

My husband and I love this place. Great location on the lake, very cozy feel, lots of places to relax and hang out, and a very short walk to the village. We always opt for a room with a nice view. Definitely worth the extra money. The hotel has not been updated, but it's still lovely, and that keeps it affordable.

This one hurts bc I have been coming here for many years. The place has gone significantly downhill. They are clearly not investing in keeping the property up to even basic standards. The place is clearly in disrepair and needs a lot of work. The rooms are not only outdated, but things like cracked bathroom tiles, thin walls which cause you to hear everything, water stains on the ceiling, paint peeling off the siding, and unkept grounds all over the property. The beds are beyond uncomfortable and even the toilet paper was horrible! Just all around needs a major overhaul. BIN 189 was such a disappointment, as the food was subpar and SOOO overpriced. My son got the steak for $68 and it was not even edible. It's such a shame bc the resort is located in such a beautiful location. I really hope they can invest in bringing the property back to what it once was, bc this used to be one of my favorite places to visit. Very sad!

Dinner at the restaurant was awesome. You have to have the Fish and Chips. Beautiful view of the lake if you can get a window seat or out on the patio.

I was really worried when hubby booked a weekend stay at this "resort" in Lake arrowhead. I really wanted to see some snow so I still agreed to come here. First of all, this is in NO way a 4 star resort! Absolutely NO services at all. NO valet, bell service, room service and daily housekeeping! Since no luggage assistance so everybody had to park cars at the hotel entrance to load and unload luggage. It was a zoo at check in and check out times! They were severely understaffed like pandemic labor shortage is still here! One of the very few good things was our corner suite with lake views on the balcony. I really enjoyed the snowy views. The suite was very spacious with two bathrooms, dining, bar, living room and bedroom with fire places. But like the entire hotel everything is so dated. Just a rundown hotel that's in serious needs of renovations! Another good thing was that the resort fee includes spa facility use and free waters. It was also a very noisy hotel with kids screaming and running around everywhere! At least the restaurant and bar was nice enough. A good place to hang out during our stay. Spa service was good enough too. Most of the hotel staffs were friendly except one blonde lady at the front desk. She was so unwelcoming and rude! I get it it's hard to find workers in the mountains. But if this is a "resort" it needs resort standards not just a name! Apparently new ownership did nothing good so far. I hope it gets better after two years of renovation and some much needed management improvements! The Asian lady at front desk was a sweetheart and super friendly! Overall it was a very underwhelming hotel stay. Definitely NOT worth $700 a night with a very dated suite and zero services! Until the renovations are done we most definitely won't be back that's for sure!

Pretty pleasant stay. Our room (luckily) faced the lake and it was beautiful. Some rooms face the parking lot but we got lucky. Room service was quick with the concerns we have and it was easy to get around. The bed was comfortable. The shower too. I wish our tv had more channels though!! There were only like 30. It's a short walk to the village. A couple points: $35 a night parking is a huge scam considering how expensive this place is. The private beach (I counted) has 19 chairs. I asked the staff for more chairs and they didn't have any? A resort that holds hundreds of people but only has 19 chairs at the beach? Doesn't make sense. So if you don't get a chair, that sucks for you. There's space for at least 50 chairs. They really need to add more. The hot dogs and burgers being grilled outside were not that good it didn't seem like quality meat or ingredients. The kitchen area outside is not clean and it is pretty gross. Another thing. A LOT (most) parents just let their kids run around screaming disturbing other guests. Completely inconsiderate to other guests and hotel staff should speak with parents about this. This isn't a day care. Let's all be considerate of each other. The walk down to the private beach is not ADA friendly. There's a bunch of stairs and it's pretty steep. Which is not good if you have a senior or someone who can't get around as easily.

Beautiful location but the hotel rooms need updating. The staff was friendly at check-in. The room was clean as was the hotel. The restaurant isn't open very late, so didn't try it this trip. Great view from our room overlooking the pool and lake. Was there for an event and the bar was cash only and the atm was either out of order or out of money. Bring cash if coming for an event with the hotel's bar service.

Need a brief time out? From OC the distance makes this an easy and fun drive. The Arrowhead Resort and Spa is just the ticket. Great, and I mean sparkling clean spa, pool, jacuzzi, steam room. The rooms are not cramped, quiet and comfortable. The Resort employees and staff are an actual delight. Extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and friendly. Special shout out to TRUDY, the lady out by the pool who makes the most delicious, innovative sandwiches around. This place!! WoW... Love this place. Wish i had discovered it 40 years ago. My new go-to

***VERY RELAXING STAY** We have driven past the Resort many times in the past and finally decided to book a room, so glad we did!! The resort is so beautiful and relaxing the minute you walk through the front doors! There was a solo violinist playing lovely music and our check-in was fast. We were pleased with our room amenities and the lake view from our room was awesome. We explored the premises and went down to the little beach and relaxed on the sand (sitting in the provided chairs) and put our feet in the cool lake water. The pool area looked fun and we brought our bathing suits for the outdoor jacuzzi. Inside is a beautiful restaurant called BIN 189 ..the afternoon Manager, Deming Ingles is the best and took the time to familiarize us with the drink and food menu. The restaurant is elegant and cozy with friendly staff and superb views of Lake Arrowhead. The resort has a game room and we laughed ourselves silly playing ping-pong. Each room has a small fridge and the ice room has a microwave to enjoy hot food in your room. The coffee cafe sells all could want and pasties too. Overall, we had a very relaxing time and enjoyed the quiet and peaceful surroundings **HIGHLY RECOMMEND**

Pros: Excellent customer service. Efficient front desk check in. Amazing location. Friendly staff. Comfortable beds. Cons: Where is the maintenance department? The outside of some buildings has peeling paint/rotten wood. The fabric curtains in our room were tattered and fraying. The sheer curtain had a gigantic tear (ceiling to floor), wall paper peeling in the bathroom. It's an older property and poor maintenance doesn't help. I felt bad for the staff.

This place is a dirty time capsule that no one seems to run. The carpets are absolute filth and this place should be ashamed to operate. The smell is just as unpleasant. The basement smells like mold where the "spa" is. Restaurant food is overpriced and made me sick. The times listed as available for the "amenities" are not accurate. They are not available during the hours as advertised. If you need a staff member, good luck because they seem to run on a skeleton crew. Stay anywhere but here.

Very bad experience. Infact, worse experience when it comes to hospitality & restaurant industry. The entire staff was very rude + property sucked + what you see on the website is not what you get. We got a lakeside room which the website quotes 'breathtaking views of lake Arrowhead' and we had no view. It was all covered by trees. I've attached pictures/video of the same. The front desk said they can't guarantee and it's our bad luck. LOL! There was no apology and very rude attitude. Additionally, tv was not working. Bed and pillows had stains on it. The server at the coffee shop messed up on our order and didn't bother to correct it, forget about saying a sorry. We asked if they had an electric charger at the property and they said they didn't have one. However, they did have one in their parking lot! Either they lied or didn't know - either way it's bad. We paid a high price for an absolutely shitty property & rude service. Never going back here again. Don't waste your money and time here.

Had a wonderful overnight weekday stay! I must admit, I panicked after reserving before checking these reviews but was so relieved to find the accommodations beautiful and the staff friendly and professional. Perhaps they had completed renovations because our room was cozy, sophisticated, and immaculate with an amazing view of the lake. The location is perfection with only a quick walk to town. I can't speak to busier times of the year with more kids and dogs, but in my experience, the resort could not have been more peaceful. Note that you need to be 'proactive' to find out about events happening at the hotel so you don't miss them. (Note to management: a daily itinerary of activity options for guests checking in would be great!) but all-in-all, could not have had a better stay. I'll be back!

3.5 stars. The staff were friendly enough. The room, as others have mentioned, can use some serious upgrades - from the carpet, to the lighting, to the a/c that was pretty loud, inconsistent and had a strange object hanging from it (what was that? Lol). With that said, you're in a tiny little town, so to have spa service, kayak rentals (which you can't do w:out a licensed permitted person), pool + hot tub, lake-beach access with seating, it's pretty good if you compare the options. It's also a short walk to the village, and overall was an awesome multi-day, car free getaway. I didn't see any nicer options when booking, it might be worth checking out AirBnB as well.

Would never come back here. The manager was very rude and desperately in need of good basic training in CRM (Customer Relation Management). Bit of a warning, their Lake View advertisement is not really a lake view. All we saw was a tree blocking the actual lake. That is not we paid for. If you have kids, they will out you all the way in the end.

Just spent the night here with my boyfriend. It was beautiful. We sat on the beach, played ping pong and ate at the restaurant. Wish we could have stayed longer. Loved the bed and room was clean. Staff was polite and manager at restaurant was very interactive with guests and looked out for the care and service of guests. Cons- The resort fee is $75 (ouch) Crowded at pool, on the small side and tons of kiddos.

Amazing looking property. Unfortunately these are some issues we experienced while staying here. We came for a wedding. The location and venue was great for the wedding. It was nice to have everything on the property. But there were some problems. When I made the reservation on the phone, I was not informed of the $150 non refundable pet fee. I understand about a pet fee but usually they are refundable. When I mentioned to the front desk lady at check in she just looked at me with a sarcastic smile and said, "it's industry standard". It's definitely not industry standard. I work in a Hilton curio collection hotel and that is not how it is handled. When I made the reservation I asked that we be the first floor saying I had an elderly parent with me and a dog so we would need easy access to the outside of the hotel. So she put me on the first floor. When we arrived, the second floor was the main entrance, but the first floor was either down a flight of stairs or and elevator ride. The first day the keys to my room wouldn't work. I repeatedly had to go to the front desk and get security and maintenance to come help me. Several others in our party had the same issues. My father's toilet wouldn't flush unless he reached inside the tank to pull the chain. My cousins door came off the hinges. At the wedding dinner, I went to the bathroom and staff took my steak and champagne away before I got back. I just think things could have been better for the price we paid. The resort was kind of nice. Looked very lovely. But for the price I really feel they need to step up a bit better.

We've had some great stays here in the past but we just stayed again for the first time in a couple years and it was just a horrible experience. Our family of 4 stayed there for 2 nights over Presidents weekend and our room was on the first floor right in front of the hot tub. The people upstairs from us were walking around constantly until about midnight, which was annoying but we were watching TV so it wasn't a huge deal. The issue was that they also started stomping, jumping and running around the room again at 4:30am. I'm assuming it was a room with 5 kids or something...it was just absolutely non-stop noise for hours. The hotel is pretty old and the floors creak with every step, so that didn't help. We finally called the front desk around 7am and they sent security up and by 8am it stopped. But, then there were suddenly kids screaming and running through the hallway in front of our door over and over. Then the pool opened and there were kids screaming in the hot tub. Needless to say, none of us got any sleep after 4:30am. We visited the front desk Saturday and as we figured, the hotel was full so we couldn't be moved. We were offered a refund of one night of our resort fee...a whopping $35. We had plans in town so we couldn't just go home, and everything else nearby was sold out, so we were stuck. We tried to confirm whether the same family was still staying in the room above us, but they couldn't tell us, only that it was occupied. Well, as we soon found out, they were still there because the same exact thing happened again on night two. Stomping and jumping until midnight and again around 4am for hours. It was complete torture hearing the incessant banging and creaking of the floors, doors slamming shut, kids jumping on the bed. It took all I had in me to not march up there and give these people a lesson in hotel etiquette. I have two kids who were raised traveling so I know kids get up early sometimes. But if they need to jump and run, take them on a walk outside or in the lobby. I headed to the front desk again, barely able to even keep my eyes open. I asked for at least a partial refund, my family literally couldn't sleep all weekend, and again she only offered a resort fee refund. We spent $600 to be tortured for two nights. I would have much rather just stayed at home. I was in disbelief that they couldn't at least comp one night or invite us back for another stay (on the top floor maybe). Even an offer of breakfast or SOMETHING to show they cared about our weekend being ruined would have been nice. The front desk girl (didn't grab her name since I couldn't see straight) was rather condescending and just didn't seem to care. I even told her I usually write reviews like this but wanted to give them a chance to fix the problem first. She said something like "ok well good luck with that" and I just had to walk away. Tired me was about to get feisty. Anyway, if you HAVE to stay here, stay on the top floor. If it's not available, just leave. I would highly recommend opting for an Airbnb or another hotel, there are so many gorgeous options in the area. I've heard great things about The Kingsley Hotel, Pine Rose Cabins and the UCLA Lodge, though we haven't personally stayed at any of them yet.

I have been reading the recent reviews regarding the Hotel. When Hilton owned it, this hotel was Beautiful. It is a horrible shame that the company (aka Slum Lords) who owns the hotel now is letting it go to shit. The kid manager that is replying to the yelps is only replying to the good reviews Not the 1 to 2 star reviews , so that means this kid has no management skills at all. It is really sad to see this wonderful place deteriorate into a skanky shell. Who would want to work at the hotel ? I'm sure the company doesn't pay well and doesn't care about the employees, as you can plainly see from how they take care of the property. Just look at some of the photos that past guests have posted - GROSS!! I just want to say this company needs to get their crap together and fix this place. it really is a shame!

I'm laying in the king size bed right now. Terrified if I'll find another big ass spider somewhere. I can't walk barefoot around the room or even consider sleeping on the floor since there are mystery stains all over. I don't dare touch my head on the headboard because someone's greasy ass hands was pressed up against it. Looks like two hands of an individual getting their sex on. The front desk was nice. It was a bit of a wait but standard ish. A bit slow (probably because of high turn over). Anyways I stayed for 1 night. Next time I probably won't come back to Lake Arrowhead to stay in a hotel. You're better off renting a camper and staying at the camp site. Ya idk man... I had high hopes but I'm not sure if I can sleep without being surprised with something.

We loved our stay. Front desk staff were friendly and went out of their way to help us get situated. It was our first time to the area. We appreciated the scavenger hunt for the little ones and the ability to make s'mores at night. The drum circle was an extra bonus, and the woman facilitating it (Susie?) was very cool. She helped the children in our group get into a rhythm while others made s'mores. The restaurant on-site seems a little over priced, but it looked really good. We will be back!! Thanks for some amazing memories!

Really one of the most tired places I have ever been in. My husband and I were in town for a friend's wedding. There weren't a lot of options, but Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa seemed like it was the best choice. We were wrong! The hotel is enormous, and in desperate need of a renovation. Our "upgraded " room was beyond tired. Stains on the carpet, lampshades, dust ruffle. The curtains and dust ruffles were torn, just to name a few. I would definitely come back to Lake Arrowhead, but definitely not to this resort.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME or MONEY!! This place should advertise lake side-parking lot! Rooms are old, hotel is old! No peace or serenity here! Can't get a spot to sit due to small pool and packed with people-mainly kids. No couples massages.. parking lot is packed-no valet or nearby entrance. Advertisement says access to Lake which was a "patch" of sitting. I really just wanted to go home after 4 hours... plan to stay in a cabin since this is no where near a resort feeling.

Very unsatisfied with the room. We thought we paid for a fancy resort for our honeymoon, but the room was very disappointing. There was black mold on the shower ceiling, curtains and blankets were ripped/shredded, lampshades dirty, holes in the walls, ceiling sprinklers falling out, stained mattress and box spring, ripped carpet that wasn't secured to the ground in corners, cracked countertops in the bathrooms, balcony furniture was unraveling, slider didn't close all the way, television lightning was dark, mounted light fixtures were crocked, dirty AC vents, ripping up wall paper, patches in the walls and areas were wallpaper was completely missing. See pictures. When reported to Brittany, she didn't have any compassion at all. She thought comping our meal at Bin 189 would overshadow the issues with the room. We were happy to pay for our meal as it was an excellent experience. After voicing concerns, she rudely responded with "I don't know what else you want me to do" over and over. To be honest, all we wanted was an apology on behalf of the hotel for the conditions of our room and some empathy. Instead, she immediately got defensive and actually made me cry once returning to our room due to my frustration and her lack of compassion. Weeks later, we still cannot believe the treatment we received from her. We spent a lot of money to stay here, we were just absolutely disappointed.

Must have been nice in the past. We paid $500 a night and our room looked like a fraternity had stayed there. Black stained carpets, marks on walls, missing toilet paper holder and tv remote. View of the parking lot. We told the front desk and they said rooms were being upgraded. So why put guests in bad rooms?? For that price?? They had no suggestions and just said rooms are like this. What a total joke. Won't recommend this place to anyone.

My husband and I traveled there from Los Angeles for a woman's group I am in and his brother lived close and it was his birthday weekend. So we decided to stay a long lazy weekend to get away from the city. I enjoyed the location, the small village shops, the history but as for the "resort"..I liked access to the beach it wasn't a difficult treck up and down the hill side, the activities we did at the hotel were nice (movie room, kayaking, game room, restaurant, bar, walking trails) we did not go to the coffee shop or do the fire side activities, but it had that too and I thought that was really nice. I liked that it was pet friendly. The room was clean (except the shower walls) and it did not smell like dogs so that was a bonus. The cook at the pool was really nice and helpful way more than the lady taking the food orders or the front desk people. House keeping were very nice. The room was low budget, it needed a lot of maintenance. The hotel was outdated. The furniture was ripped, the sliding bathroom barn door was difficult and did not work properly, the "automatic" bathroom fan kept going on and off (it did not have a switch) there were no hooks or racks for wet towels (except 1), there was no bathtub, the coffee maker did not work, there were no grab rails by the toilet or in the shower, the microwave was down the hall with the ice maker, the room on bookings looked a lot better than what we received, there was no place I could ask questions about my pet on bookings and they gave us the "dog" rooms when we checked in ...all the way on the top floor at the end of the hall next to the maintenance room that made noises all night long. I know it was the "dog area" because all we heard were dogs... I guess that is better than screaming children. The fire alarm was broken, the cable tv and wifi had really bad reception, There were handprints that were not ours on the shower glass walls. GROSS. The room was dark and the view was blocked by tons of trees. There was no lighting on the balcony it may be because of the area but it gets extremely dark. The front desk people were uninformative, I had to pull answers out of them about a map, activities etc. extremely lack luster and to top it off made a mistake on my discover card that I still need to figure out. The staff at the pool giving towels and taking food orders were extremely rude and seemed miserable. Their food was stale at the front desk (snacks, popcorn, candy etc) (don't get confused with the pool side cook she and the food was great) I felt the place was struggling financially and overpriced. AND before a manager replies Oh I am so sorry you could have asked to change rooms...or you could have asked for this or that...who wants to do that? Who wants to experience, report, complain, or oversee all these issues on their vacation? Not me. Will I be back to Lake Arrowhead? Of course I am a current native Southern Californian. Will I be back at this "resort"? No.

My family and I had a wonderful time. We appreciate its close proximity to the Village and we love their cute little beach and kayaking excursions. The rooms are a bit outdated, but well stocked, and even though they were severely understaffed, everyone was very nice, courteous, and responsive. I really enjoyed the spa and fitness activities, though the immediate area could use more consistent upkeep. Perhaps they could ask their patrons to put on clean sandals before taking advantage of the jacuzzi and amenities, so there wouldn't be mud in the spa and lockers? The spa treatment and the amenities they offered were otherwise top-notch, so I will definitely come back for another massage. I think issuing new policies like this will keep the place really nice and inviting for everyone.
