What a wonderful, serene, calming place. We went there with 8 people, it was a beautiful day,so we sat on the balcony overlooking the crator. I did book as it didn't want us to miss out,as we had driven a hour to get there. My lunch was Smoked Salmon roll ( yummy). Then we had homemade scones with coffee ( another yummy). The girls were friendly and apologise that the oven was out of order, but we still were able to order the things we wanted. There are boards that explain the history of the place, near the toilets. There wasn't a disabled one, but with a little help, it would be possible to use. There are steps to climb to the cafe itself, but there is a eating area down stairs if you can't climb them. When you are finished there is a small boat that will take you on a 45 minute, informative cruise, costing $22.50 pp. You can book on line or buy tickets there. It doesn't cruise every day and only goes 3 times a day, so you need to check that if you want to do it.
