Love this place. Such a beautiful setting overlooking Lake Barrine. The food was great though a little pricey. Highlight this time was the free for seniors boat trip around 1/2 the lake during November, was lovely to get up close to about 60 or more Great Crested Grebes.

This teahouse is truly beautiful! 🤩 It's perfectly located right on the shore, offering stunning views of Lake Barrine. 🏞️ The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere was absolutely delightful. ☕ There's even a ferry for lake tours! 🚤

What a wonderful, serene, calming place. We went there with 8 people, it was a beautiful day,so we sat on the balcony overlooking the crator. I did book as it didn't want us to miss out,as we had driven a hour to get there. My lunch was Smoked Salmon roll ( yummy). Then we had homemade scones with coffee ( another yummy). The girls were friendly and apologise that the oven was out of order, but we still were able to order the things we wanted. There are boards that explain the history of the place, near the toilets. There wasn't a disabled one, but with a little help, it would be possible to use. There are steps to climb to the cafe itself, but there is a eating area down stairs if you can't climb them. When you are finished there is a small boat that will take you on a 45 minute, informative cruise, costing $22.50 pp. You can book on line or buy tickets there. It doesn't cruise every day and only goes 3 times a day, so you need to check that if you want to do it. If you like my reviews please follow us around Australia 🇦🇺.

Always a great experience every time we come back to Lake Barrine Teahouse. We always get the Devonshire tea and love it, we also got a blt this time and it was delicious too.

Visited on a weekday in August 2025. Booked the boat cruise and a lunch table on line however would have been able to organise on the day. Boat cruise was very relaxing and the driver was wonderful providing a lot of background to the area. Lunch was delicious with not much of a wait - the added bonus of the view of the lake made it a wonderful experience. We followed lunch with a walk to the twin kauris and then walked a little further - time was against us to complete the circuit but it is definately on our list for the future as it seemed a gentle track. We then returned to the tea house as we had to try the famous scones - not disappointed and loved the jam! I should also add that staff were lovely! Thanks for a wonderful day out - I have wanted to visit Lake Barrine for a number of years and I am pleased to say the experience exceeded my expectations 🙂

A wonderful tea-house by the lake with a historical origin. Great view, pleasant, spacious, wonderful tea. There is also a lot to learn about the history of the place. Only minus point: no wifi.

We came for the weekend to the Airbnb at Lake Barrine Tea House. It was a lovely stayed and we could enjoy the food and the view. We ordered the BLT and the mushrooms with chilli honey on toast. They were delicious. Seriously, we cannot recommend this place enough. Tip: they have a boat that goes around the lake… we could see two pitons lying on the riverbanks, kingfisher, turtles… just the cherry on top.

The coffee was great and the food was a special experience. The staff were amazing and friendly, they made me feel welcome and considered. The view was one of a kind too.
