Lake Bled

Stunning natural lake with a cozy island in the middle and beautiful landscapes. There are some wild life in the region that dances with this nature. Pictures below were taken in mid April.

Just one of those places that really lived up to its name, enchanting and tranquil. I’d totally recommend staying here while in Slovenia. The warm summer sun made it all the better.

So beautiful. Totally worth to have a walk around the lake and see it from different perspectives. In end of June it was still quiet.

It's one of the best places I've ever seen in my whole life, you'll literally enjoy every moment there, I spent the day walking around the lake for more than 6 hours and I didn't feel bored, I also a hiking above the lake and really enjoyed it a lot here. Definitely recommend it very strongly. Don't ever come across Slovenia when visiting that beautiful place.

A very beautiful and cute lake but during summer is very crowded. The atmosphere especially on the “boat” kind of thing that took us from the mainland I would say to the island was pretty great and we enjoyed our time there!

GO visit! It stunning! Just be aware the walk around the lake is around 4miles but absolutely worth every second of the walk. It’s a dreamy place! The pictures don’t do this place justice!

Absolutely worth the visit.Lake Bled is one of those places that doesn’t just look good in photos—it lives up to the hype. The scene itself is straight out of a storybook: a glacial lake surrounded by mountains, with a tiny island in the middle topped by a church that you can only reach by traditional wooden boat. But it’s not just about the view. There’s something timeless about the place. Bled Castle sits on a cliff above the lake and offers one of the best vantage points I’ve ever come across—especially around sunset. You can walk the full loop around the lake (about 6 km), and every angle gives you a new reason to slow down. It’s also got just the right mix of peaceful and active. You can swim, paddleboard, or row during the warmer months—or visit in winter when it turns into this quiet, snow-covered dream. And yes, the Bled cream cake is touristy—but it’s touristy for a reason. It’s genuinely delicious, especially with a coffee overlooking the water. What makes it worth visiting isn’t just the setting—it’s how the place makes you feel. Lake Bled is relaxed without being sleepy, beautiful without being showy. You leave with actual memories, not just pictures. It’s the kind of destination that surprises you by being even better in person.

A lovely area to visit when touring Slovenia. It is quite nice to cycle around the lake as you get to see so much more than in a car.
