Lake Crescent

When mom and I went in our vacation, we spontaneously found a place to stop along the road here. This was one of the prettiest places we drove through. We found a nice spot on the lake to swim too. Just for a few seconds because it was ice cold!

The beauty of Lake Crescent can't be described. You have to see it to appreciate the beauty. Whether you want to take a hiking trail to soak in the view from a vantage point or you wanna take a swimming/boating session, Lake Crescent is the place. The clear turquoise colored water seems like a fairly-tale place. I am definitely going to come here again if I visit Olympic.

Absolutely beautiful lake. Went for a swim and with goggles you can see forever underwater it was amazing but definitely cold!

GORGEOUS lake!!! I would suggest going early to avoid the crowds. It gets very busy here. There is very few spots that you can set up at if you want a more exclusive area. We went in the middle of July, and the water was freezing. If you don’t mind swimming in super cold water, then this is the place for you.

Lake Crescent from the Mt. Storm King trailhead side is absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water, peaceful vibes, and breathtaking mountain reflections. Perfect spot to relax before or after the hike. A true Pacific Northwest gem!

If you're looking for paradise you've found it! The most serene and beautiful place for relaxing and taking in the spectacular views, if you're looking for a little more quiet I recommend walking down along the shore towards the wooded area, you'll see some breaks and the spots are perfect for a quieter more intimate experience. It gets a little chilly so bring a windbreaker and water shoes! Those are a must if you want to comfortably enjoy walking in the water, or else it's very hard on your feet. Also, the Lodge is worth a stop, they have a great burger and fries, the bruschetta is a great starter, highly recommend this place!

I enjoyed the sound of the water lapping against the shore and the rustle of the trees in the gentle breeze, creating a calming atmosphere perfect for reflection. For those who are more adventurous, kayaking or canoeing on Lake Crescent is a fantastic way to experience the lake's beauty from a different perspective. I had the opportunity to rent a kayak and paddle out onto the water, which allowed me to explore the secluded coves and enjoy the stunning mountain views from the lake itself. The feeling of gliding across the crystal-clear water, surrounded by nature, was an unforgettable experience. The history of Lake Crescent adds an intriguing layer to its beauty. The lake was formed approximately 8,000 years ago by glacial activity, and its deep waters have led to various legends and stories over the years. I chose to stay at the historic Lake Crescent Lodge, which offers a charming atmosphere and stunning views of the lake. The lodge's rustic charm and proximity to the water made it an ideal base for my adventures. Wildlife enthusiasts will also find plenty to appreciate at Lake Crescent. The area is home to a variety of species, including deer, black bears, and numerous bird species. I was fortunate enough to spot a few deer grazing near the water, adding to the overall charm of my visit.
