Lake Eacham Tourist Park

This is one of most peaceful caravan parks I've stayed at. You are surrounded by nature. Lots of lovely birds and we even spotted a tree kangaroo high in the trees. The shop and cafe are a nice bonus though not open for morning coffee sadly. However there are great coffee shops nearby in Yungaburra and an excellent cafe at Lake Barrine. Location is fabulous, only 1km from Lake Eacham for a swim and beautiful walks. Staff friendly and helpful. Very quiet at night.

I don’t recommend the Lake Eacham Camping Ground for people who want to camp in a tent. The unpowered tent area is located directly next to the powered sites, so at night you can clearly hear the generators from caravans and motorhomes. Cars that arrive or leave late also drive right past the tent sites, which feels quite uncomfortable. We were the only people staying in a tent, close to many noisy caravans (generators), and there was traffic coming and going in the evening. Overall, it felt quite busy. The facilities are fine but look rather old and a bit run-down. There are good things about the campground: the location is excellent, Lake Eacham is beautiful, the staff is friendly, they provide internet, and there’s a nice café on-site. However, the Long Black I ordered tasted like instant coffee. If you are coming in a campervan, this place should be okay — but for tent camping, I would not recommend it.

I've stayed here twice now and both times the staff have gone above and beyond from supporting us while we dealt with the RAA the first time and even staying open an extra 10 - 20 minutes to check us in. The amenities are very clean and they have coin operated washing machines and dryers. The area is super atmospheric and it just feels good to relax in the atmosphere of the park.

This was the perfect place for our first family camping trip. The camp kitchen is well equipped with plenty of seating and basic cooking facilities. The showers/toilets were clean and well maintained. The gardens around the park provided great opportunities for the kids to explore and look for insects, small lizards etc and the ducks were great entertainment. We will definitely be back!

Amazing park beautifully located. Walking distance to Lake Eacham. The owner was super kind and helpful as was Robert, their handyman, we had an issue with our tent and he worked after hours to help us. The place is really well taken care of and the facilities are clean. We were sad to know the cafe is not working atm, it was so good! We'll be definitely coming back soon.

Such a nice place and Cameron the owner was kind and relaxed about us arriving late. He also saved our bacon by letting us hammock in his shed during the rains.

Quiet little place away from the towns if you like abit more isolation. Basic but you can tell the owners/operators are doing a wonderful job of updating. Yes the showers & camp kitchen is dated but is very clean. I had an unpowered site with flat gravel base. I couldn’t get my stakes in but no big problem. The little cafe was cute & staffed by a welcoming young woman. Wifi available throughout the site (strongest/most reliable in kitchen). Lots of friendly chickens.

A lovely place to come and chill out for an hour or so. Beautifully situated and the edge of the rainforest near Lake Echam, the tourist park shop offers a wide range of amazing arts items as well as other cute knick knacks. The coffee area is relaxing with comfortable chairs and books to read or board games to wile away the time. The owner is lovely and friendly and the coffee was good. You can also fill up on fuel and get a bite to eat. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved our visit to Frond cafe and Lake Eacham Tourist park. What an ambient and relaxing retreat, I loved the art gallery and garden at the cafe and the camping facilities were clean and wonderful! Will definitely be back :)

Great place to stay. Eco park set in a rain forest location. Clean well looked after park with some great walks nearby. The Frond Cafe serves some great meals, nothing seems too much trouble for the owner/managers.
