Lake Elmenteita Serena Camp

Stayed here for one night during a recent safari and wish we had stayed longer. This is a beautiful hotel in an exceptional setting and nothing to fault. Was very quiet when we visited and both dinner and breakfast were cooked to order and of good quality. Had a walk outside the hotel grounds to the edge of the lake with a very knowledgeable guide which was very enjoyable.

Very quite and calm places. Rooms decoration was excellent. Resturant had good view of lake and mountains. I fall in love to this place. We didn't find flaming in the lake which was disappointed.

Recently stayed here for 3 nights. The tented accommodation is very luxurious with comfortable beds and furnishings, with full electricity and all plumbing |The restaurant overlooks the lake with sightings of wildlife|The food was excellent and the staff are very attentive and welcoming. They provide excellent service. I am coeliac and all dietary requirements are fully catered for |There is a pool and gift shop on site

Beautiful situation on the water’s edge. We had the Flamingo room, which was fabulous and HUGE. |The room had Elemis toiletries. Im not sure if this is standard, but they were great.|Good breakfast and 2 decent evening meals. The lamb broth was rather greasy, however, and the T-bone steak was so gristly that only 2 of our group chose meat the following evening (they did was the rib-eye steak was lovely, however).|Loved it and will stay again!

I recently escorted a group to Kenya, and we had the pleasure of staying at Serena Lake Elmenteita. What a stunning property! The accommodation was outstanding, the staff fantastic and the food excellent. I highly recommend it! Great location too.

The camp is in a beautiful serene setting, on the shore of the lake.|The tents are very spacious and well designed. The food and coffee was excellent. The outside setting for lunch and breakfast, with a view over the lake, very special. |The staff was very kind and attentive, they go above and beyond. The dinner setting inside however was not nice. You can go for a self drive in the conservancy which was out of the ordinary. Nice stay but a bit overpriced.

This is smaller hotel compared to some of the ones in the main reserves, but all the better for it. Food is excellent, and the position overlooking the lake is charming. The tent style, is just that, a stye, no relation to any tent you take on holiday.

I had a wonderful experience at this hotel from start to finish. The staff were incredibly warm, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable — with all the amenities you’d expect from a top-quality hotel.
