"Orlando’s centerpiece lake sits right in the middle of downtown, close to the pretty neighborhood and dining district of Thornton Park. A pedestrian-only path fringing the water stretches for nearly a mile, offering visitors a great place to stroll or jog. Along the lake you’ll also find an amphitheater for concerts and festivals, a picturesque pagoda overlook, and a kiosk where you can rent pedal boats shaped like swans. Bring the kids to feed the ducks and swans, or visit the farmers’ market, which takes place on the lake’s southeast corner every Saturday morning."

The park offers a remarkable experience, enhanced by the presence of diverse birdlife. Visitors can enjoy running, walking, and sightseeing, complemented by ambient music. The park occasionally hosts Sunday morning activities, including various booths, which are highly recommended. Furthermore, the swan boat rides, accommodating two individuals, provide a memorable experience. The park's ample shade minimizes sun exposure, making it an enjoyable destination for couples and individuals alike.

Lovely park and walk way. Loved the music that plays on speakers as you walk through. Many areas to sit and watch the view. You can ride swan pedal boats here. It’s really cute and seems fun. You will also find many swans around the lake. Lots of places to eat near by.

Beautiful place with a nice long walk. Great with children. Lots of different bird species, fishes, and turtles. I particularly liked art objects around it and Beautiful scenery.

Google
Lovely place for your morning walk. Amazing scenery of Orlando downtown. You may encounter many different birds as you walk. The music adds a nice touch and everything is very well maintained. You can easily find free street parking a few blocks away in the residential areas around.

Google
Love this park. Large area with water view and shade. Beautiful duck, geese, swan and other wading birds. Love the nesting birds, too! Baby anhingas and egrets. Be sure to give nesting mamas space. Plenty of seating options, multiple restrooms. Nicely landscaped. Play areas.

Zachary Frieben

Google
Came here while in the area to see all the birds. There's lots of ornamental waterfowl here, which is really cool! My favorite was the Whooper Swans. You can also feed the birds too for a quarter via dispensers. We got to hand feed Egyptian Geese, which was really cool! It's also just a very pretty park too.

Google
Great park with lots to see! Giant swans all over the place, but be sure to leave the young ones alone or momma will come after you! The walking path was very nice and the trees offered a lot of shade.

Google
Super awesome gem in downtown Orlando. Easy parking, great walking areas, playground, live music, and restaurants. The swan boats are an easy, enjoyable, affordable outing for the family. Five passengers to a boat, and if you can muster a little energy, you can circle the entire lake in less than 30 minutes. If you are visiting the area and want to get away from the hustle around the theme parks, then make this a stop on your agenda.

Yelp
Stopped in for a farmers market. Good selection of basics like coffee and snacks to good regional foods. Lots of swans and turtles to watch do their thing. Clean and well maintained, saw a fountain light being fixed in real time. Weirdly aggressive bike cops that I guess need to blast through people for some reason? Dunno what that's about

Yelp
I have such mixed feelings about this park. It's truly such a beautiful space, from the lake and swans to the park and the art instillations, there's a lot to see and do. There are so many events and activities that happen at the park, you'll always be able to find something to do! My biggest concern with Lake Eola currently is safety. There has been a large increase in the homeless population who essentially lives at the park. While most of them keep to themselves, it definitely doesn't give a welcoming vibe to the park.

Yelp
We love Lake Eola but especially during the holiday season when they have the light displays around the 23 acre park ! This year , is by far the best display! City of Orlando decorated Lake Eola and surrounding areas so beautifully. Parking was a bit hectic as it is the holidays but it's expected. I was shocked to see vendors charging for parking around Robinson as the businesses are closed and parking has always been free. We decided to park across central and walk. Our little ones really enjoy this and it's nice to see so many people out enjoying the evening together. Con: the bathrooms were utterly disgusting. Both men's and women's had urine and number 2 all over the floors and even on some walls. As parents with little ones, it makes it very hard to allow them to use the bathroom. Looking forward to going a few more times before the lights come day and a Sunday visit to the farmers market !

Yelp
My wife and I have visited Lake Eola numerous times over the years and have always enjoyed its variety of attractions. From the charming Swan Boat Rides to the vibrant Farmers Market, the International Food and Drink Festival, and the live concerts at the Bandshell, there's something for everyone. Lake Eola Park covers 23 acres and encircles Lake Eola itself, which is an 80-foot-deep sinkhole. At the center of the park sits the Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain, which evokes the elegance of old-world Italy or Spain. It's especially breathtaking when lit up at night. Parking can be a bit tricky--there's metered parking surrounding the park, though you can find free spots about a quarter-mile away. Once you've parked, the park offers several amenities: picnic tables, restrooms, a playground, a nearly mile-long paved walking path, paddle boat rentals, bird-watching opportunities, plenty of open space for exercising, and pet-friendly areas with cleanup stations. There are also disabled parking spots available. On our most recent visit, we went on Christmas Day evening to see the holiday lights, which were absolutely spectacular. The displays are a must-see, but I'd recommend avoiding the immediate days around Christmas if you want a more relaxed experience. Parking was nearly impossible--we ended up walking several blocks from a free parking spot, which added about a 10-minute walk to the park. Once at the park, it was packed. There were at least one to two thousand people in the walkways, with lines at every photo-op station. We were only able to snap one picture together, and the crowds made it feel quite chaotic. Most of the visitors appeared to be from out of town--many didn't speak English--which may be something to keep in mind if you're a local planning to visit around Christmas Eve or Day. There were a few other things that impacted our experience: 1. Some dog owners were not cleaning up after their pets, and I almost stepped in three piles of dog waste along the walking path. 2. Homeless individuals were present, sitting on benches and asking for money. 3. The park's sound system seemed to be down, as there was no Christmas music or any music playing, which was a bit of a letdown given the festive atmosphere. Despite these issues, I still highly recommend visiting to see the lights. The photo-op areas, like the Santa Hat and the stunning 64-foot Christmas Tree, are truly beautiful and well worth the experience. This year, they also hosted a holiday drone show on December 21, 2024, which featured hundreds of drones performing holiday-themed designs in a spectacular 13-minute light show. Overall, Lake Eola Park is a must-see in the heart of Downtown Orlando, especially if you're visiting from out of town. Whether you're there for the lights, the park's attractions, or just a leisurely stroll, it's definitely worth a stop.

Yelp
We came here Christmas day evening to look at the lights. The sculptures they have around the lake are very beautiful! But I would have to say try not to come on this evening. Was very very crowded I'm guessing 1,500 people if not more. 95% of the people who attended this event on Christmas day evening were Indian, Spanish and Haitian. We took a side street and parked up the road for free. I would come again but maybe early in December I like how they have lots of places to take a photo although your face will be dark They need some uplighting at each stop.

Sonita J.

Yelp
It owns Parks and Recs Dept or whoever was in charge of the Holiday events there this year deserves a round of applause. Lake Eola always looks nice and festive for Christmas but this year it was MORE. More lights, more photo ops, more music, more feel goods, food trucks, snow falling..etc. It was spectacular and fun and family friendly. It was so nice to walk around and see everyone enjoying themselves. I loved seeing all the kids and doggies dressed up. Best of all it was free. In this day where everything is so dang expensive, it was refreshing to be able to have a lovely family outing that cost nothing.
google avatar

Lisa R.

Yelp
I absolutely love walking through here during the holiday time. I came on Christmas Day so it was packed, but it was just so magical. Fake snow, beautiful lights. Beautiful vibe.
google avatar

Andres A.

Yelp
Went for a walk around this park which is situated in downtown Orlando. What a beautiful park. They decorated the park nicely for Christmas. A nice but of greenery in the Middle of downtown. The park also included an amphitheater where I imagine they bring great acts for people to see. The park is surrounded by plenty of restaurants and places to grab a quick bite.
google avatar

Ciara D.

Yelp
Lake Eola is lit up and beautiful with new Christmas lights this holiday season! Take a breath of fresh air while enjoying a walkthrough of nature and wonderful Christmas decor around the lake. There's many photo-ops to create amazing memories with family and friends, and the best part is that you do not have to spend a penny to create this beautiful moments!
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
Such a beautiful and free holiday activity! Went to stroll around Lake Eola the other evening and was absolutely dazzled by all of the beautiful lights and decorations all around the lake. I surprised that walking around the lake is a free event, as it's stunning how many lights and decorations there are all around the lake. There were many families with children and dogs enjoying their holiday strolls and amazing photo ops. I can't wait to come back and enjoy the lights again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
A beautiful park in a "concrete jungle". The one mile paved trail around the lake is a nice way to spend some time. During the day there are swan boat rentals and a nice lakeside bar and grill restaurant. There's also a weekend farmers market. The park is dog friendly and full of other winged creatures (lots of swans, geese, and ducks, so beware of the inevitable poop piles). There are also restrooms available. Street parking can be a hit or miss. Regardless, it's a lovely park that I'd recommend.

Yelp
Lake Eola Park is one of my absolute favorite spots! The variety of birds and animals that call this park home adds so much charm and life to the area. It's always a treat to watch them in their natural habitat, and I especially love seeing all the adorable dogs being walked there's nothing better than a stroll alongside some wagging tails! One of the best events for me is the Sunday market. It's such a vibrant event with an incredible selection of food and unique items to browse and buy. Recently, I had the chance to visit after dinner, and to my delight, there was a holiday market. Although smaller than the usual Sunday market, it was a lovely surprise, complete with a stand offering free hot chocolate. The park was also decked out in holiday lights, which made the atmosphere magical. I love the Christmas lights.

Yelp
1st time at this park during "Fiesta In the Park". They block the streets, but have a nearby parking lot that allows you to park for 24 hours at a reasonable price so you can explore without worry. The park was full of vendors selling arts and crafts, jewelry, information on awareness of animals, food trucks, an area for children to play and MORE. They also have swan boats to ride across the lake. You felt safe. I will say, the park itself is cool but some of the food trucks were not so great, but you have to judge for yourself. I believe they do this every year in November. They also have a couple restaurants in the park to sit and have some cocktails and food. I will definitely come back again. The lake was pretty awesome with swimming turtles and a array of birds. Was beautiful to watch.
google avatar

Ashlynn W.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go sit and relax on the weekends. Plus, they have a wonderful seasonal farmers market throughout the year. So, no matter when you go to Lake Eola, you never know what kind of market you will find or what type of wonderous shops you will discover.

Yelp
A beautiful park in the heart of downtown Orlando. One of my favorite things about this park is how beautiful and clean it is when I've visited. For the amount of birds, ducks and assorted other animals I've seen while walking, they keep the pathways clean. There is a decent amount of seating, however I haven't been able to really sit on most of them because they are being used as beds due to homelessness in the area, not that I mind everyone needs somewhere to sleep. I love that they have a children's park to relax in and let your little ones run around as well! One of my favorite things about this park is the little bridge they have as well as the area with little streams and walkways. It's small but it's something cute that I thoroughly enjoyed. The entire walk around the lake took about fifteen minutes because of how leasurely my pace was. There are many areas for geese and ducks to stand. They also have signs that say do no approach them (which do NOT) because they can be mean. I for one loved being able to take photos of them while they were relaxing in the shade. My guilty pleasure was finding an area that had tons of rocks and the sheer amount of turtles basking made me literally stop and watch them just lay there for a good five minutes. It was a lot of fun watching the nature all around me while I was here!
google avatar

Andrew J.

Yelp
We went on the 26th of December during the day and time, unfortunately. It's a really cute park with a nice trail and they had their Christmas light decorations up and it would've been cool to see in the dark, but unfortunately, reality set in when we saw the dozens and dozens of homeless people hanging around, especially the one guy that was potentially drugged up, screaming, and yelling go to hell at everyone. As much as I would like to go there after dark, and look at the Christmas lights, it would make me a little bit nervous if a homeless dude had bad ideas after dark.
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
I wish I could give more stars for the Christmas lights! I had no idea Lake Eola put lights up all around the lake for the holidays. We were overwhelmed with how many there were and super impressed! The best part is, it is completely free! Just show up on a nice night and take a stroll around the lake and enjoy!!
google avatar

RJ L.

Yelp
Was in Orlando for a show and wanted to find a place to walk in the morning. We headed over to Lake Eola Park and was pleasantly surprised with how cute this park was. It's a short walk, just about a mile. Lots of wildlife. Overall a nice little park to walk.
google avatar

Joseph H.

Yelp
Such an amazing and beautiful little park on the lake. The Christmas decor was magical. We walked around the park until sunset and then enjoyed all the lights at night. Every set up felt like a picture perfect moment so we naturally stopped to appreciate it. The fountain and lights, in the middle of the lake, with the city skyline will leave you speechless. The perfect spot for a first date, romantic date, or afternoon to just sit back and relax.
google avatar

Ericka G.

Yelp
Big and beautiful spacious park. With plenty of parking and lake views. The swans are protected and plenty of birds to watch. Alos saw snapping turtles and loads of other animals living their best lives. Perfect spot for a picnic, walk, meditation, people/bird watch, playing etc. At the end of my our walk there are paddleboards to rent out to check out that beautiful fountain in the middle, or just for all in good fun. If you're hungry you can also check out the restaurant that's nice and covered from the sun
google avatar

Lucas R.

Yelp
It's a great place to go for a walk, cycle, relax in nature, use the pedal boat on the lake or perhaps enjoy one of the restaurants around the place. I really enjoy watching the swans and ducks on the lake, it's a good outing for the family on a sunny weekend.
google avatar

Mandi S.

Yelp
Beautiful park with birds, swans, turtles, ducks, and squirrels all around. It's a nice walk with a decent portion of it shaded. If walking at a brisk pace, give yourself a full 30 minutes and you can make it around the lake.
google avatar

Howard L.

Yelp
Recently came here when the city of Orlando was gathering for St. Patrick's Day festivities what a beautiful park with so much to explore, see and do. What a great recreation space that's better than most major cities. There definitely tons of birds walking around. Tons of turtles, wildlife and boats in the water. I would definitely avoid the west side of the lake just because there are shady people over there that gather there and approach people.
google avatar

Vicki M.

Yelp
I had a nice leisurely walk around Lake Eola. It is close to downtown. The was street parking by where I started, some lots were $5 -$10. You can rent bikes and scooters. There were speakers in the lamp posts playing music. There were restrooms in the park. There is a small amphitheater. You can rent swan boats. There was 1 food truck when I was there on a weekday at 5:30 pm
google avatar

Yulisa S.

Yelp
Great park for walking, rolleeskating, bike renting swan boats, and many places to eat. Swan boats are $15 for 30 minutes. It is first come, first serve. Open from 10 am to 4 pm, weather permitting. Parking around the lake is meter parking at $1 per hour or for a bit of a walk. There are parking garages. On occasions, they have concerts and events Family fr
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
Awesome walking spot. The lady in the ground was my favorite! Great to see lots of dogs and people enjoying the beautiful weather and views.
google avatar

Kalani G.

Yelp
I don't get to this park often but this review is specifically for the Christmas celebration. It's cute! I was super impressed with the light displays and holiday market. It's a vibe. Truly a Florida Christmas.
google avatar

Olivia M.

Yelp
Lovely park and just love the Christmas directions!! They have food trucks and holiday market going on for the holiday season . The park is surrounded by a beautiful lake as well as swans and other birds! Good walking path to get in a few miles on a good day.
google avatar

Kerry B.

Yelp
As my stay here in Orlando is coming to an end, my fondest memories will be of Lake Eola Park. From the lake itself, pavilion, amphitheater, ducks to World of Beer and the Orlando Farmer's Market, what great times. The is always something going on here on the weekends. There are movies some nights. Plenty of activities for everyone. There is even a playground and park. Plenty of places to walk your fur babies or if you have the human ones. There are always people walking. Finally, check out the Monument in Right Feet Major on the E. Central side of the park.
google avatar

Brittany M.

Yelp
Such a beautiful park and lots of wildlife to see! The area is busy but it's such a nice walk around the park. We did go on the swan ride which is ran by the city. For $15 it was definitely worth it plus the kids had a blast! Parking can be a bit tricky so keep that in mind when you go.
google avatar

Alicia J.

Yelp
I don't know of a more iconic place that represents downtown Orlando than Lake Eola Park. It's for everyone! A relaxing walk, great jogging spot, grassy spots for reading a book or watching the swans; and speaking of swans, take a swan boat out for a ride and see the iconic fountain up close! The restaurants around the park are great as well. Sundays feature the Orlando Farmer's Market here, and occasionally you'll catch a performance at the band shell, or run into a festival!
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
This park is the George Clooney of green spaces--classy and hosting A-list dog-friendly events every weekend. It's like a pup paradise, and my four-legged companion and I wouldn't dream of missing the party. Picture us, strutting around the lake like it's our own Hollywood Boulevard. Now, my dog? He's got a bark that could rival an opera singer. He performs his magnum opus, charming the swans until they acknowledge his canine charisma. But the moment those majestic birds give him the nod, he plays the ultimate disappearing act, hiding behind me like I'm his celebrity wingman. It's a weekend blockbuster, and we're the stars of the show.
google avatar

Raynelle S.

Yelp
Visited the Lake Eola Farmer's Market on a Sunday and absolutely loved it! The park is well maintained and there were swans in the lake. There were a variety of vendors: textiles, pastries, cookies, plants, popcorn, pet accessories, soaps, and so much food to choose from. There was an area with picnic tables which made it very convenient to enjoy your meal. This was a lovely place to walk around. Parking can be a challenge but it was worth visiting here and would definitely come back.
google avatar

Reina L.

Yelp
I love this park! It's beautiful and I feel safe. Lots of people jog in the early mornings and there tends to be more families visiting in the evening. Events are hosted here. Sunday there is a farmers market and yoga. The swan boat rentals are adorable.
google avatar

Catherine D.

Yelp
This park is very nice it has a playground and nice sculptures throughout the walk. It's a long loop around a lake. Lots of swans and ducks ... they offer paddle boats in the lake very cool !!!!
google avatar

Hannah M.

Yelp
Lake Eola Park is one of the places I think of when considering Orlando's nickname "The City Beautiful" - it's a hotspot for sight-seers, events, and local wildlife. When I last visited, it was one day after the annual spring festival and during one of our art festivals. Since it was attached to the weekly Sunday farmers market, there were miles of stalls to check out! The pathways and roads make it very easy to maneuver around the crowds, or view the lake. The public parking is free on Sundays, though there are tons of parking garages and adjacent street parking as well. There are also public restrooms available towards the main entrance. Unfortunately, the swan boats (which you could rent for $15/half hour) are not currently available because they are renovating the dock, but they should return soon!
google avatar

Angelica S.

Yelp
We visited Lake Eola Park on a Sunday while they had their weekly farmer's market. We had a great time! They had a variety of local shops and businesses, ranging from food to handmade, quality items. I would definitely suggest this to anyone in Orlando. It is a great place to go with your family or an a date with your partner.
google avatar

Renee K.

Yelp
A lovely location to stroll through to enjoy scenery, have a picnic, or just to visit the local farmers market on the weekends.
google avatar

Melinda S.

Yelp
Lake Eola is what I consider one of the staples of Orlando. It's what I usually mention to people when asked what is "real Orlando" since most people think of theme parks and touristy spots. Lake Eola is a great place for locals and visitors alike! It's a beautiful spot of greenery in the middle of downtown and a great place to get some steps in or just relax and look at the water or people watch. The farmer's market is held here every Sunday and there are a multitude of other events that happen here all year long. You have several options in close proximity to grab a bite to eat or a drink. The swan paddle boats are also a fun thing that I think everyone should try at least once. Overall, Lake Eola is one of my favorite spots in the downtown area and definitely what my mind pictures as a cool symbol of Orlando.
google avatar

Apple S.

Yelp
Very spacious beautiful and perfectly maintained park with large fenced playground and path to walk or run around the lake. There's swans and many birds. There's also paddling swans to rent. Only issue is the typical Orlando Disney style: blasting obnoxious music. Can't it just be quiet? Lol
google avatar

Scott P.

Yelp
Lake Eola is a great place to go and take a stroll around the lake, let the kids play in the playground or one of my favorites, visit on a Sunday for the Laje Eola Farmers Market. I especially like to take advantage of the close proximity and spend my lunches just relaxing watching the swans
google avatar

Zulymarie O.

Yelp
I went with my family to Lake Eola to see the Christmas lights, and they were nice and beautiful... my family had a great time.. I love Lake Eola on Christmas time.
google avatar

Yelp
Decent park to walk around with Family. Lots of restaurants to eat. Parking is easy to find in local spots. Seems to be in the middle of action. Will recommend.
google avatar

Natalia A.

Yelp
Is a nice place for a picnic and a walk. The down part is the amount of homeless around. On Sundays they held a farmers market very nice and organized
google avatar

Yelp
Lake Eola park is a small piece of hidden serenity in the middle of busy downtown Orlando. I had returned a rental car nearby and planned to walk at the park while I waited for a ride I did not imagine it was such a beautiful place it has a walking path that goes around the entire lake there is a pagoda a playground in arena and even a place where you can rent swan shaped paddle boats They were plenty of people taking a vantage of the beautiful weather and having a picnic there are restaurants nearby and even a small bar at the park I also found the most adorable little coffee shop well it's actually a food truck but a coffee and ice cream truck that is opening very soon There is a beautiful statue built into the ground and several beautiful landscape spots that show the trees coming out the water and the birds are plentiful here I saw everything from swans to seagulls to ducks and even the stork like birds They do several events here such as farmers markets in such thing the warm weather and weekends I will definitely be visiting here more often I could easily spend hours here
google avatar

Yelp
This is a very nice park that has a very nice paved trail that surrounds Lake Eola. The circular trail is almost a mile long. The park is located in the heart of downtown Orlando and is awesome. It has a medium sized outdoor amphitheater named the Walt Disney Amphitheater, restroom facilities, and lots of public art placed all around. There is a small stage area with a little seating on the other side that the ampitheater is on. There is metered street parking available on the streets surrounding the park and parking garages nearby. There is limited Parking free on Eola Drive on the east side of the park as well. The park is very picturesque. There are many photo ops here. My favorites were the Chinese style pagoda and the fountain. The fountain is very interesting, as it is one of nine structures that can be lit in blue, teal, yellow, gold, white, green, orange, pink, purple or red by special request. The park also has swan boat rentals and is home to many of the actual bird. You will find a restaurant, the Relax Cafe, here and a lot of green space to sit and have a picnic or just play. The Eola House is located in the park and is available for rent. It can host small special events such as birthday parties, board meetings, bridal showers and small conferences. This park does not have a playground. However, there is a turf area that has a statue of a woman appearing to be lying in the turf. Even without a playground this park works for me. It is beautiful and a nice place to run/walk. There are benches and seating all over the park to relax. I really enjoyed my time at the park and as long as you are not looking for a spot with a playground for the littles, I am sure that you will too.

Yelp
This is a beautiful park for tourists and locals . There are a ton of swans and birds to admire and pedal boats if you want to go out on the lake . The sidewalk encircles the lake and many places to take great pictures . Parking is free after 6pm and there is other street parking available . An ideal place to have a picnic .

Yelp
Always an amazing stop on Sunday's. So much to do with the whole family. You can grab a bite, walk it off, and see so many great fire babies. A great Sunday treat!
