Absolutely loved our stay here! My husband and I decided to prolong our Glacier Trip last minute and randomly found this place out of pure luck. We booked 3 nights in a cabin and we are SO glad we did. Lake Five is family friendly, quiet, clean, and so relaxing. We enjoyed our stay so much we already booked for next year! Dan and his wife are the kindest people and are incredible hosts. They made sure our stay was perfect. We cannot wait to visit again.

I cannot speak highly enough of the kindness, courtesy, and thoughtful consideration that I found with Lindsey and Dan (and their kids!) at Lake Five Resort. I had an unexpected change to my reservation, but they so kindly and patiently worked though the situation with me. The resort itself is a great 'destination,' and when I was there it was filled with families, children, beauty & joy. I do not post photos including people as I do not have permission, but the location is lovely, and I loved sitting at the lake in the evenings just looking at the beautiful cloud and mountain colors! I loved that the families had children having fun with family. Dan, Lindsey and their family work constantly, but at each step of the way, they took extra time to make certain that I had or found things I needed but had forgotten to bring! I understand they even play music for guests on the Belton Stage. Hopefully I'll have a chance to return & see/hear them. I was reminded of my childhood - my parents and siblings... the beauty of nature & families doing things together. Yes, they have a full slate of things that you can do right there (boats, lake, canoes or kayaks can't remember which.) Great way to enjoy God's magnificent beauty.

We stayed in a lake front RV spot for a week on the beautiful, warm, gorgeous lake. A week was not long enough. The owners of the park are a wonderful family who were warm and helpful. Our RV spot had two direct access paths down to the lake, making swimming, paddle boarding, and floating in the lake easy and quick. I don't know how the lake water is the perfect temperature but it really is all day. Lakefront sites are water and electric only but the resort offers concierge pump-out service for your tanks which was just great and made the stay easy. Lots of room for parking, space in the site for your chairs and toys, and beautiful views of the lake from the beach area. Plus, the beach is just the perfect family-friendly place - felt like the best summer camp every. The boat dock, floating water slide, and floating diving board made for so much fun for the kiddos in camp.|There is not wifi in the park except at the office, but this place is for outdoor enjoyment not wifi. Cell service was a little spotty too but this is Glacier so that was expected. |We can't wait to spend more time here.

We loved Lake Five Resort! We did a family vacation to Glacier National Park. Lake Five was a perfect location, close to the park entrance. The resort is situated on a quiet lake, with beach access and boating options. We stayed in one of the cabins. While not supplied with kitchen/cooking tools, silverware and such, our host, Dan, was very accommodating, lending us those supplies that we needed but could not bring with us on our travels. We managed just fine with cooking our meals and Dan leant us a French press for our coffee. We learned that the resort has been in the family for five generations. My daughter even purchased a book of poetry at the resort, that was written by the founding father, from five generations past. We appreciate the care and intention to maintain and grow the resort through these generations. I recommend Lake Five Resort.

My wife and I came here on an extended honeymoon this weekend due to falling in love with glacier. Got lucky and found 3 open days here and let me tell you. We found our forever place to stay every time we come back here. Dan and his wife are amazing people. A blast to talk to. Very patient cuz I can sometimes be a bit much. Stayed in cabin 4 and rented kayaks and bought firewood and pokers from Dan. 5 min outside glacier west entrance. If you have a problem with your stay here. It was you. Not the resort. I stand by that. Rustic. Has a beach with slides out in the lake off shore. Docks. Paddle boards. You name it. Dan will make sure you have it. We absolutely are in love with this resort.

Lake Five Resort was one of the highlights on our trip to Glacier! It’s a cozy, beautiful, rustic gem. We stayed in Cabin 9 and it had all of the basics- comfy bed, sofa, bathroom and a small stove. We brought our own coffee maker but did not account for coffee mugs, so the owner gladly lent some to us. The family who owns the resort is lovely and accommodating. We can’t wait to come back!

Lake Five Resort is a fabulous place to stay, especially if you are planning on going in to Glacier National Park. There is a bike path that takes you to West Glacier Village and Entrance. We stayed in Cabin 9 for a week. We enjoyed unplugging from the digital/internet world for that week (no tv, little service, you can connect to their wifi, but I never did). We also enjoyed the beautiful, clear Lake Five just steps away from our cabin. Everything in the cabin was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to have all the appliances so we could prep our own meals. Remember to bring all your kitchen utensils, etc (they list this when you book the cabin). We appreciated they do not allow day use so it kept the place nice and quiet and not crowded. We stayed from Sept 8-Sept 14th, 2024. Highly recommend!

Went for a week, booked Z1 & Z2 double lot. It was the perfect spot for two families with young kids. Nice green space for the kids to play right beside the lots, beautiful lake was just a leisurely 1 min walk away. Showers and laundry right beside us. All around amazing place to go, owned and operated by a super friendly and chill family. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I would rate this trip we took as a family a 4/5. It was super fun to swim in the lake and go off the slide and diving board. The water in the swim zone is shallow enough so little kids can relax and be safe. There are lots of minnows to catch in the water along with decent sized fish in the boat doc area. The only things I have some concern about is all of the children that are little and unwatched and zooming around while cars are driving. I know that is not this places fault but if you bring little children you should definitely watch them. Also, quiet time is at 10:00; the kids are still out running and screaming at that time. I feel like more of the parent supervision should be emphasized more but otherwise great place! Really well maintained and yes the campsites are a little small but it's super cozy and really a great trip to go on and relax.

Yelp
What a hidden little gem!! I wish we would have stayed here 3 nights and not just 1 night. It was the most cleanest comfortable camp ground. Loved how it's right on the lake. They had a slide in the middle of the lake. Live music on a Saturday night. The hosts were all so nice and accommodating. We parked our camper van and everything was walkable. They had showers you can purchase with tokens, a small laundry facility you need quarters for and a small store that had a small selection of snacks and drinks and rentable items. I felt safer here then any other campground. The energy here was so positive in many ways. They have the cutest little cabins right on the lake! This place has it all! It really is a perfect little family get away! Perfect for the kids! They loved playing in the lake!!!! I have nothing bad to say about this beautiful place!!! Really enjoyed our stay here!

Yelp
This is such an awesome place to stay! Great hosts, excellent swimming, tons of water toys, a dock just for lounging/jumping (rare find), nice camp spots, great music, and this list goes on...

Yelp
Well this place is has a beautiful little lake near GNP. We re-visited for a very large family event this past weekend and we're sadly disappointed. We were hoping to take a trip down memory lane as all our extended family was there . Unfortunately this place is ran by people that nickel and dime you for everything. Not to mention, they have rules posted Everywhere within the campground. Just check out the website of rules before booking. Upon arrival, you have to sign off on more rules at check in. I really like how they have be happy, be kind posted at the campground but that only pertains to guests. If you have a problem or concern or question them about something they did wrong Dan and Lindsey will forget their own rules and bite back. We attended an event that made them a VERY large sum of money here and they forgot to treat us like guests but made us feel like a Nuisance. Would not trade my family time for anything but will definitely NOT go back. There are Sooo many places to camp around here... don't waste your money. RV park is super crowded. We dumped our sewer right next to the neighbors picnic table.... Felt more like pack em, and stack em for the extra buck!! Lake currently has a terrible case of swimmers itch. Almost all the small kids in our group experienced a terrible case. The warning is posted on the door but not discussed with guests upon arrival so you kinda have to find out the hard way or weed thru all the rules and regulations. Not a Happy Camper

Yelp
From booking to arrival to departure and the stay in between Lake Five did not disappoint. Great location and all the benefits of hookups while enjoying a quaint resort with a 60's throwback feel. I can imagine all the activity in the summer. Along with two other couples who also had large RVs and tow vehicles, we enjoyed the campground. If we come back to Glacier we'll definitely stay here. Thanks, Ron, for your hospitality!

Camille R.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to stay while visiting Glacier, just a few minutes drive to the park, and Ron was really hospitable, too. We got a great last minute deal on a small cabin equipped with full kitchen and our own fire pit. There is no kitchenware (cookware, dishware, utensils, etc), which is unusual for a place that offers a kitchen, but fortunately I was on the road for over a month and had my camping gear including cookware and groceries. The kitchen was a great amenity nonetheless! The bed was sort of hard and the blankets very thin, but we just layered up and slept just fine. Our bathroom didn't have a sink, so we had to use the kitchen sink when we wanted to brush our teeth, no big deal. The cabins are very private since none of them connect or are close enough to hear your neighbors. The size of the room was perfect for the two of us, but would probably be too crowded for any more than that. Although the back area is all yours, with the fire pit and picnic table, and would serve as a nice place for more company. The place is hard to find at night so keep an eye out! Ron asks that you come before 8pm, I believe, as that's when the office closes and staff is gone for the evening. We were coming from Bozeman and it took much longer than we had expected. We called Ron and he had no problem waiting over an hour and half for us to arrive. When we checked-in, we weren't rushed at all. Ron gave us the rundown of the place, information about the area, and answered all of our questions without missing a beat. There's a couple of stores nearby to restock, but other than that and checking out Glacier National Park once or twice, there really isn't any other reason to leave Lake Five! There's a real homey feeling to the place and we can't wait to visit again.

Yelp
After many hours on the road I happened upon their sign as I got closer to the park entrance. Just looking for a place to drop my tent I had the opportunity to stay at the Tipi site right on the edge of the lake. Pristine water, bald eagle on the pine tree, beautiful views. Its a classic old style family run resort with little cabins and do it yourself activities. Minutes from the park entrance and little towns nearby. Ron the owner is a down to earth friendly guy and his niece was also helpful in booking and also plays a mean guitar. I was only going to stay 2 days and I stayed 5. If you are wanting the Hilton with cable TV, high speed internet and marble lined bathrooms this is not your resort. Smell the air, swim in the water, listen to the wind, go to the main cabin and meet some new friends and really live. I cant wait to go back, take my girlfriend and stay a month. Great experience.

Yelp
So I think my boys enjoyed this campground the most of all on our summer trip from California to Montana. They spent many hours in the lake and nobody told us we couldn't do anything we did while we were there which is pretty much the typical anywhere in California. The kids were just free to be kids. The camp is rustic and our site fairly tight, our neighbors were nice and the access to the beach was PERFECT for summer afternoons following exploration. They had plenty of availability to kayak, canoe, stand-up paddle board. My only real improvement suggestion would be to add an afternoon ice cream truck.

Jan H.

Yelp
Although the lake is beautiful we had issues with the management to. When reserving I made sure the person on the phone understood I was 43 feet long and 13 feet high. As we arrive we noticed how tight the parking was. We did everything within our power to get in the site but there was no way. The owner did refund us our deposit but it left an eight day hole in our itinerary. Very difficult to get reservations in high season here and we had to move an hour and a half away from where we wanted to be. All the sites are quite tight and heavily treed.

Reed P.

Yelp
Poor customer service! Poor management skills! They are all about taking you for every cent than making your experience a good one! DO NOT STAY HERE. Campground is so tight they are all about slamming you into a tight spot all for the money! Save your money and your good time and go elsewhere I promise you will be happier! Check vrbo and other places on the lake. Dan and Lindsay don't care about anything else but making money off of your stay over charging for dumb stuff and micro managing everything you do don't waste your time! BOOOOOOO LAKE FIVE WAS GREAT UNTIL THEY TOOK OVER!

Andie A.

Yelp
We stayed at Lake 5 a couple weeks ago and loved the resort! The weather was colder so we didn't swim, but the little beach and dock area were taunting us- the views reminded us of nostalgic summer camp! The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful when we had questions, we had issues with our electricity but we were able to get a fix. On site bathroom with shower facilities, a little playground for kids, a stage set up for events. Also just a short 5-10 minute drive to Glacier's west entrance which is what we were there for. We would definitely stay here again!

Rodney M.

Yelp
Seems like a nice place to stay, They charge you for everything $10, Per Pet $10 to empty RV waste $10 per kid $10 Per person for a day pass that other than that It would probably work to stay here. What's it worth. Answer $10.

Yelp
Lake Five was the perfect campgrounds during our summer trip. It was extremely peaceful, clean and the family that owns the property work hard to provide the guests with a peaceful atmosphere. The lake has gorgeous views and provides a refreshing place to swim in the clean water. I recommend Lake Five for anyone looking for a great location just around the corner from the entrance of Glacier National Park. We will be back to visit someday!

Bryan H.

Yelp
I would recommend this place to anyone passing by to or from GNP! Great variety of spots for everyone, tent sites, partial hookup, and full hookup. The lake is breathtaking and the park is situated right on it with access to your own private beach (so bring your water toys!) I also enjoyed the rustic traditional camping feel while staying at this resort, all the amenities of what you would expect for the price but you also get the feeling of being in the woods or at the family lake house in the woods. Local family owned and operated for many, many years which I find really cool as well. Would definitely come back!

Kathryn H.

Yelp
What a gorgeous view right outside our door! It is a perfect place. The owner, Ron, has a great knowledge of the local area which he is very willing to share. Great place! Great guy! We would definitely stay here again, if we get back out that way. Thank you for a wonderful week!!!

Hannah S.

Yelp
WORST SERVICE!!! Bad communication as well. I was under the impression the "day use fee" was to be able to use the ENTIRE campground for the entire day. But no, it doesn't include any amenities and you don't even get your own spot to relax and grill. You pay that money just to use their LAKE. I was on a roadtrip and found this place under "campgrounds" to be able to shower, change clothes and make food. I wasn't allowed to use the showers and wasn't given a camping spot because i didn't pay the $60 fee to camp overnight. None of this was mentioned when I payed and assumed I would be allowed to shower like normal campgrounds allow. When I went to ask the owner about it, he was very rude and said "well you didn't ask" and proceeded to hand me a $5 bill when I payed $25 to use the lake for less than 3 hours. Make sure you clarify what you're paying for because it is not treated like a normal camping ground!!!!!

Driven W.

Yelp
Huge disappointment, nice surroundings, but should you have any issues the owner will not give a flying you know what. Rude customer service from an owner that just does not care. Too many other beautiful places to spend your money at. Sorry I chose this one.

Allan T.

Yelp
Very quaint and fun resort. Meeting the owner is a highlight.

Bobby H.

Yelp
Stayed a week here right on shoreline of Lake Five. Ron was very accommodating. Wonderful time! Thanks Ron!

Mike P.

Yelp
The only place to camp at west glacier. The peace and quiet. Trees and a lake. Does not get any better around here.

Carol H.

Yelp
I'm not sure which sites the reviewers who gave good ratings were assigned, but our site was horrible. We were squeezes in like cordwood, surrounded by 5 RVs. Felt like we were in a parking lot. The group next to us had at least 15 people partying well past 11pm- an ATV drove by all hours of the night, and people were constantly walking through our campsite. I got the impression that this was once a nice quiet family campsite, but it seems like the goal is now to make as much money as possible packing people in. There were 2 sinks in the restroom for all campsites, and the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been renovated for years. We stayed one night and after not sleeping at all because of the noise, we moved to Glacier campsite up the road. Much more privacy there, and at least there were trees. If you get a site in the back of Lake Five, you might have a better experience. The owner should reduce the number of sites so you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbor.

Kristi P.

Yelp
What a great little place! I will try to post some pictures, but the view of the lake and the swimming beach is beautiful! They have 2 docks--one for boats and the other for swimmers, and 2 separate anchored platforms--one with a slide and the other with a diving board. There are also canoes for rent. The park store is very cute--sells candy and ice cream. We found Ron who runs the place to be extremely kind and accommodating. He said if we were unable to fit in the available spots, we were welcome to dry camp where we would fit. There is also a volleyball net area and small playground. We "camped" in a 40' motorhome on a lake front spot which included a firepit. This was a great place to come back to everyday after touring Glacier National Park--just a few miles from the west entrance. It is fun to watch the wakesurfers and water skiers on the lake as well. After dark many of the campground kids gathered to catch crayfish near the shore--our kids had a blast joining them. Not a piece of trash anywhere in the park. We definitely will stay here if we are ever in the area again.

Vonda W.

Yelp
The park was full so this was our second choice. After staying it will be our first choice from now on. Beautiful campsite on edge of the lake. We will be back!!!

Kay J.

Yelp
I've stayed at many campgrounds over many years and I am rating this 3/5. Starting with check-in, it was a bit unusual to show up to find the cabin occupied even though it was supposed to be an 11:00am check out. Staff went and checked to find previous occupant had all of their things in the cabin and their car was gone. Even though we just had a 5.5 hour drive from Spokane, we just hung out at the campground with family, but it did seem kind of weird that they didn't know the previous occupant hadn't left yet. The campgrounds are a little cramped and I watched quite a few try, with help of other campers to navigate into their spots. We could not put our 4th stabilizer down just because it was too tight, but we just made do. The lake is very nice and clean and the water is warm, so it's especially nice for kids. There was plenty of beach space for everyone and picnic tables were available as well as plenty of trash containers. The "lodge" building was nice with all kinds of items to purchase including ice-cream! Wifi is spotty at best, but we weren't there to be plugged in. It was nice to check on our flight before we left, but get close to the lodge for best opportunity. I do believe that you should voice your concern rather than blast someone on a review and I did do that, but my comments seem to fall on deaf ears. I inquired as to a good time for a hot shower after checking a few times and the tap was cold. I was told that I should go at 5am. I didn't really find that humorous, but I did continue to check and it seemed that mid-afternoon was best for a shower. I also let staff know that the bathroom paper products were out, and I got the "it's busy with everyone here" response. The bathrooms were pretty dirty with all of the people using the two showers, and it would've been nice to have a quick mop considering how busy it was. As it was, I swept and mopped my stall as I didn't want to ruffle any feathers. Everyone seemed to have a good time together and there were really no obnoxious people staying at the property. Overall, it was good, and the few nuisance things didn't put a damper on our experience. As a tip to anyone staying in a cabin, I would not stay in the cabins that are in the same building with the showers. The patrons continually let the screen doors slam and that went on until 11:00pm or so. The same happened in the morning with early risers.
