Lake Forbes Motel

Really accommodating with a quite late check in, room was clean and tidy and just what we needed for a quite stop through. Family room was reasonably priced too. And good location. Thank you 😃

Room was clean and comfortable. Wasn’t enough cutlery (only 1 fork) and not enough crockery. Road noise from the highway was present but not too bad. Accommodation is close to McFeeters motor museum , a park with bbq facilities and only a short walk into town for dinner

Don't expect a welcoming smile! 'Unusual' business practices. Booked 8 months in advance for a festival weekend and had to pay 50% deposit. VERY rude receptionist demanded proof that we had paid as THEY lost the receipt. Despite requests, they did not provide proper receipts - so if you need them for tax purposes, don't stay here. It's not a quiet location-it's between 2 roads. We couldn't see the lake from the room as advertised - it's across the park.The shower curtain was mouldy, margins of bathroom floor and caddy for complimentary toiletries dirty. Rusty shower rail and towel rails. The towels were thin. Outside the room was a gross bin full of cigarette butts. Oppressive smell of air freshener in the room. The wifi didn't work. The air conditioner did work. The river parkland was lovely for a walk. We won't stay here again.

I would like to be able to even put one star there for the service, but there wasn't any,. My Mother and I went and stayed for 6 nights over Christmas. We tried to check out after 3 nights, and we went to talk to the reception desk to find out if we could, there was a sign written on a piece of paper sticky taped to the door giving us a number to call, so I called this number, and the person told me to email booking.com - booking.com finally got back to me when I threatened them on Facebook with exposure on A Current Affair if they didn't contact me and then said it was up to the hotel. It has taken until today from the 25/12/24 to receive a response fromthe hotel, where they said I wasn't entitled to anything,n and then hung up on me. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!! Oh, and they also said dog friendly which they were not, and I only put the one up the top so I could post this.

On our first night, I went to remove the extra bedding from the linen cupboard and satchel of drugs (looked to be some type of Meth or Cocaine) fell out of the cupboard. We had a 2, 5, and 7 yr old in our room, all of whom could have opened that cupboard themselves and found it if it hadn’t of fallen on the floor from our blanket. We got a “what do you want us to do?”||||No offer to clean the room or replace bedding, no offer to change rooms. Essentially just shut down. ||||Next morning went to chat to reception, office hours are 8am-10pm. No one there, rang the number and woke someone up who took 20 minutes to come to the office. ||||We had consecutive bookings (one personal, then one under work) and they told me there was no second booking even though I was showing them my booking confirmation number, pin, and that it was paid on booking.

Pulled in not expecting much but wow. So clean , everything you need for a stop over, around the corner from pubs and clubs. Absolutely perfect. Can't say enough

A lovely motel on Lake Forbes. Stayed in Room 7 which had comfortable beds, a strong hot shower, spacious room and located right at the pristinely clean pool. The only negative point of my stay would be the fabric shower curtain kept moving about which caused some water to overspray into the main bathroom and toilet space. This wasn't a deal breaker (although an upgrade to at least 1 glass side and a shower curtain may minimise this?) and I would happily stay here again if visiting Forbes.

The room was the worst smelling room I've ever had. It was so bad we didn't even stay... we found another room elsewhere. Didn't have working a/c, a broken fan. When I asked to change room because the smell was making me sick and had given my a headache, was told that it was fully booked, it wasn't, rooms still available online 😡. So I'm out of pocket. Please don't stay here. It's totally a horrible motel and staff not helpful and friendly at all. Minus stars if I could.
