Lake General Store

My family always enjoys visiting the Lake General Store when we are in Yellowstone. It seems to be the place where most of us find the 'perfect' souvenir. The staff is always very friendly.

Enjoyed the views from the picnic table out front while eating our pack lunch. Also has food options inside. It was a nice stop with a restroom!

The Lake General Store has very friendly and outgoing employees. When we were there it wasn't too crowded so we got to visit with the employees. The scenery is amazing and it was a great stop as part of an awesome trip through Yellowstone.

If you want good genuine service this is the spot to stop amazing views cute little café we stopped in for food and Souvenirs my daughter accidentally broke something we offered to clean it up and pay for it they said no it's OK and kept reassuring us that it was ok there was one vary sweet older gentleman who complimented me on my hoodie we eneded up getting lunch there and all of the girls at the café where vary sweet after we got our food we sat at Lil table and the view behind us was gorgeous one of the girls came over and asked if we wanted her to take a picture for us and of course we did it turned out amazing after we got done eating the older gentleman came over to talk to me about why he liked it so much him and his dad went on a trip when he was younger and they had matching shirts almost the same color of my hoodie honestly felt more like I was at home then just a store I hope all of them see this and know they are doing an amazing job thank you treating us like family I hope everyone one of you get everything you deserve in life

Great place to stock up on basic groceries, water and other supplies before heading out to camp or fish. All the park grocery stores have a water bottle fill station so search it out and save some coin. Bldg is unique, built in 1904 with central chandelier made in France. Very unique and appropriate!

Found this place by accident. Nice general store, with a good selection of souvenirs. Also included a small cafe and ice cream shop. 3 picnic tables out front. Restrooms in a different nearby building. Great view of the Lake.

The place was closed at 6pm!! It’s not dark in Yellowstone in summer until after 9pm and not much food or dessert options in the Lake area, and because of this it should stay open at least till 8pm. Kids were looking forward to ice cream after dinner, no luck as even the Canteen was not serving milkshakes. The views of the lake and snow covered mountains make it 2 stars
