If you’re looking for a getaway in nature, Lake Kivu Serena Hotel is the place for you. They upgraded our room after we told them that we were coming to spend our anniversary there. You wake up to a scenic view everyday! They ordered flowers on our behalf and also provided a vase. They seem like the only hotel in that axis that has a direct beach - you get to swim in the lake. A private dinner by the beach was set up for our anniversary. We walked around the hotel to find other food places; everywhere is close by. They have a playground - we saw families with children so it’s family friendly. You can request kayaking and boat cruise services if you want. Their staff is warm as well. Highly recommend.

We have now been to Serena a couple of times, but only for lunch or to hang out. It is a very nice hotel and the service as well as the food offered is great. 👍 Located on the shore of Lake Kivu, you can enjoy life and 🇷🇼 at its best! From where you sit, you can enjoy the hills and even see a glimpse of Goma, in 🇨🇩 Congo. Take a walk along the beach and enjoy the town as well.

I recently stayed at Gisenyi and had a fantastic experience! The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. My room was immaculate, featuring luxurious bedding for a restful sleep. The dining was a highlight, with delicious and beautifully presented meals. The pool area was clean and inviting, perfect for relaxation. Overall, it was a wonderful getaway, and I highly recommend Gisenyi to anyone looking for a great stay!

A peaceful and serene destination with stunning views of Lake Kivu. The food, accommodations, and service are outstanding, making it undoubtedly the best place to visit in the Rubavu region.

The hotel is top-notch with the best services! The food was really good we enjoyed it…Both Our bathrooms had a problem with leakages but the manager Jonathan was excellent and sorted us out.

This place , is better place to be and taking fresh air on the sand sunset beds, kindly I would like to recommend this place to my friends, Kind staff , and quick service from check in till check out time , my stay was sweet here, I can't wait to comeback.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was lovely and the staff was very kind. The restaurant was amazing. For dinner, we had a delicious fish stew that was one of our best meals ever, and the breakfast brunch was also fantastic. The hotel gift shop has exceptional baskets and is very reasonably priced.
