Lake Street Cafe Inc

We went for dinner with two teenagers and a large dog. They have a very large grassy outdoor seating area in the lot next door and it was perfect. Umbrellas and some shade trees make it great. they even had a water bowl for our dog. The food was even better than the atmosphere. We got the big tenderloin, a chicken sandwich, and I don't remember what else. It was all great. This was the best food we ate on the lake in a very relaxed environment. It looked like the indoor seating was a little fancier, but that is compared to being outside with a dog...

Stopped in for lunch while doing some construction in from out of town, left two of my employees to eat lunch while I ran a couple errands and got my food to go and not only did they treat my guys great but my food came out just at the perfect time for me to pick them up when they were done eating and everything came out just right and delicious! The gal did a great job and the restaurant was very comfortable and inviting! Can't wait to come for the next phase on my work project and have lunch again!

Nice stop right in town. Drinks and food always good. Bonus in the summer is the farmers market across the street. They have a nice patio too i just never make it past the bar

I loved and enjoyed every minute of my time here at Lake Street Cafe in Elkhart! The atmosphere was bumpin’! The food was spectacular, and our waitress (Rachel) was insightful + delightful! Definitely will come back! Can’t wait to share this experience with my friends and family!

Stopped in for lunch, and Elise was our server. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was laid back with really awesome decor. The food was delicious and flavorful. The focaccia was absolutely amazing, and wanted to take some home with us. If you are camping at Plymouth Rock, I definitely recommend stopping in.

My husband and I were so looking forward to having lunch here recently, We came hear a couple times years ago for both lunch and dinner and the food was excellent each time. But yesterday was a disappointment. The soy chile marinated flank stank was not edible. It tasted like drinking soy sauce straight out of the bottle. We also ordered pizza, which we ended up sharing and that was good. The ambiance was nice, we were seated right away, waitress was attentive and we received our food quickly. Not sure we would come again though. I've never had food that was completely inedible anywhere else.

My burger was grilled to perfection. The best burger I've had in years. The staff was fun, informative, and talkative without being intrusive. We sat at the bar, and I found the bar stool to be hard to get into. Once I was seated, I was very comfortable. I am not sure if the seating issue was my problem or the bar stool's problem. (Most likely my issue).

Disappointed to be writing this review after such a great experience around a year ago. The fresh bread never arrived and we kept being told it’s almost done. It was bizarre. Maybe just ask the kitchen? Bread is pretty standard and when you serve fresh bread all the time you know how long it’s going to take… The steak and potatoes were room temperature when they finally arrived. They offered to warm them up but who wants a twice cooked steak and rewarmed sides? The appetizer we ordered didn’t come before our entrees so we cancelled it per the waitresses recommendation, then it was still on the bill. Start to finish we were at a table for an hour and thirty minutes and spent $130 on a mediocre meal and mediocre service. Frustrating to spend money on a nice meal and have it go this way to say the least. The bartender was great. She made an excellent Paloma and was friendly and conversational.
