Health & Safety
Pools were clean, but safety was poor. Scooters and bikes blocked entry/exit points, creating hazards. My partner tripped while carrying our two-year-old, causing injuries to both.
Staff saw the incident but refused to help, saying “I’m not a dad.” First aid was minimal—only a plaster offered. No visible "lifeguards", staff available but mostly policing food & drinks being brough in, safety enforcement seemed secondary to policing water bottles and promoting the swim-up bar. Scooter racks, signage, and trained staff in handling emerygy response situations are urgently needed.
Campground Experience
We stayed two nights in a non-powered tent site in Dinosaur Valley. The campground was very busy overall, with heavy foot traffic, cars, and kids on scooters and motorized toys—chaotic and sometimes unsafe.
Dinosaur Valley was quieter but meant longer uphill walks to kitchens, showers, toilets, and picnic tables. It offers drinking water, portaloos, and gravel roads, but lacks the convenience of other areas with closer amenities and concrete roads.
If you value peace and don’t mind longer walks, Dinosaur Valley works. If proximity and kid-friendly infrastructure matter, other areas may suit you—but expect crowds and noise.
