Lake Texoma State Park

Beautiful lake! I was impressed by just how nice the area was, but I didn't know much about it before heading there. I would consider returning here for some fishing as well!

Beautiful Park & friendly locals from restaurants to shops. We had a family day jet skiing here and loved every minute ❤️

The campsite was great, spacious with clean and well-maintained pavilions and restrooms. Each site came equipped with a grill and fireplace, which was a nice bonus and made our stay pleasant. The only downside was the lake, the water was quite muddy, so the kids weren’t too excited about swimming. However, it’s still a good spot for kayaking and boating.

Enjoying Christmas at this park is very special. We are traveling from Savannah GA and staying here three nights. The lake is beautiful and campground very quiet. I’m sure it’s much busier in summer.

The park was nice as was the marina. Our fire ring was missing and when I asked for one, I was told they were out. No worries. My boys and I made our own. The main issue I had was with how the campsites were laid out. They were too close and ours was very unevenly spaced. I would have booked the site next to ours had I known. Our tent was literally crammed into the corner of our site. The bathrooms could also do with a redo and more hiking trails would be nice. Also, the public access to the lake during the day meant the days were filled with lots of obnoxious and drunk folk driving in and out constantly. I was happy when the lake closed every evening! But overall, we had a pleasant stay and truly enjoyed the beauty of the area.

Amazing lake, very clean, great facilities everywhere, very well designed and maintained by the state of Oklahoma. There are many resort and RV locations all over, it is not crowded and it is very nice and clean. Strongly recommend.

We as a family went there in weekend. It was a great experience to be there. There is a walking trail for refreshment. There are lots of picnic spots. If you want to spend your time with family and friends by picnicking.It would be best spot for you.There is the office room if you require any information. I love to visit this place again and again.

It is a beautiful lake. Unfortunately didn't get to fish because of flooded areas. But that's ok. We will have to go back and visit it again.

Beautiful park, did a picnic and fishing. Nice relaxing day, people swimming and boating. Just a great little park. Only complaint is the dog owners who don't pick up their messes. That's not on the park. Be responsible for your own mess, even your dogs.

Great views, clean restrooms/Showers. We have stayed 3 times and live this park. Boat ramp, electric/ water sites and some sites have awnings.

Lake Texoma State Park was a great place for a quick and cheap weekend getaway from Dallas. The park isn't huge but there are plenty of tent campsites right next to the lake. There are also designated RV areas, but every time I go camping I prefer staying places where RVs aren't allowed. Call me old fashioned but when you bring your generator, satellite dish and air conditioned home on wheels, you're missing the point altogether! We camped in the Catfish Bay area and it was great! While I sweated my balls off and the heat caused the park rangers to impose an open fire ban, a floating cooler of beer and some inner tubes were the perfect cure to the heat. Now, don't be shocked as you drive in through the older part of the park where there are old, dilapidated cabins (circa 1952) that belong in a horror film more than a state park. They sit quietly on the property but are an eye-sore to say the least; not to mention they are just really creepy. Each time we went by we expected Leatherface to jump out with a chainsaw. Overall great experience though. There's a nice swimming/beach area that's big enough to accommodate plenty of people and, who are we kidding, the people watching at Oklahoma state parks is priceless. I look forward to going back in the fall and/or winter to see how crowded it gets. We had plenty of space to ourselves in the 90-100 degree heat. Oh, and if you forget anything important, there's a Wal-Mart about 15 miles away in just about every direction!

I would love to give Lake Texhoma, Bens RV spot, Oklahoma State Park side a 10! People were fantastic! Lake is fantastic! Everything about this park except the restrooms was fantastic... the guy that cleaned the restrooms used a broom to clean everything no cleaner nothing, in and out in one minute?!?! Daughter said poop stains on the commode never cleaned! We were there a week. Thank goodness we had a trailer with full hookups!

Absolutely loved this camping destination! The staff were all so friendly and even carried my firewood to my car for me! Ask them about the perks of each spot! Even on a busy weekend there was enough distance for privacy. Fishing, hiking, and if you forgot any essentials there are a couple of gas stations & stores around not too far away. Also, there are shower facilities! Hot water for days They have park rangers patrolling frequently, which was comforting for a first time visitor. Would love to see those old cabin spots either cleaned up or used in a horror movie, they looked soooo awesome! We will definitely be back when it's warmer.

Nice place to camp, swim and go for early morning runs on the paved road or the nice hiking trail.

At the pavilion 50 feet across from our campsite another park guest held a country music concert complete with live band and blaring amplifiers. This concert went until 11 PM. It was so loud we couldn't even have conversations around our campfire. I complained to a park ranger and asked if they could be made to turn the volume down, and got nothing but smart remarks. I talked to one of the people hosting it and was cussed at. Forget this place if u want a quiet, restful retreat. Oh, it was also made clear to me out-of-town tourist are not welcome.
